The NetGear RangeMax WPN824 Wireless Router is well designed and incredibly easy to install and use. Its connectivity is excellent, and provides the means to easily operate multiple wireless internet connections at any one time. Its price is comparable to that of any similar or equivalent model and, value for money, for this reason, can be described as good. Anyone looking to purchase a means to access their broadband internet connection wirelessly would be advised to consider this make and model, for the ease with which it is installed, if nothing else. The unit has seven separate antennae which work together to ensure a consistent signal throughout the effective range of the router. Each of these has a corresponding blue LED inside the translucent circular logo on the top of the unit. Now, think of the little green (probably) lights on the front of your cable modem, and imagine what it'd be like if there were seven of those, each giving off significantly more light and flashing at a...
...

I was looking for a router with long range, this was not it. although easy to set up it it does not work as claimed.I was looking for a wireless router with the range to reach from the second floor rear of my apartment to the first floor front. Both techs that I spoke to suggested this product, I am disappointed.
THIS ROUTER WORKS FAIRLY WELL AND IS VERY EASY TO SETUP. SEEMS A LITTLE TOO PRICY FOR WHAT IT DOES. THE LIGHTS ARE COOL LOOKING AND WOULD MATCH SOME LED TOWER CASES VERY WELL. HAS GOOD RANGE OUT OF THE BOX WITHOUT ANY FIRMWARE TWEAKING. WOULD BE A NICE ADDITION FOR SOMEONE WITH LIMITED COMPUTER SKILLS....

moonlit85 says "High Speed, Long Range, Stronger Security" about NetGear RangeMax WPN824 Wireless Router

The WPN824v2 is a great choice for those who require longer range with their wireless network. The wireless signal is strong enough that I was able to access my network in my basement. The basic security features are robust enough that the casual broadbandit will end up with nothing. As advice, never use a WEP key. If your devices are not compatible with WPA, I suggest buying newer devices....

I bought this router to replace a Linksys router that never worked right, always had driver problems and Linksys wouldn't put out any fixes and even stopped putting out the drivers. Since this NetGear router has been installed, I have had to replace my video card on my computer, which involved taking it apart. Anytime I had to shut down my computer, the Linksys always gave me problems. This router hasn't given me a single problem - always starts right up, and even after two power failures from lightening storms here in South Florida, it just booted right back up and kept on sending out signals. The installation was very easy, took about 15 minutes total to set up and has been working fine ever since. The security settings were very simple as well, and it's been very secure since it was initially set up - haven't had to redo anything like with the Linksys, where every time it was turned off, everything had to be reset.

It's asthetically pleasing too with the flashing blue...
...
