Nestle Good Start Soy Formula is the bomb. I love this brand of formula. I participate in the W.I.C. program. WIC stands for Women, Infants, and Children. With this program my child can't receive this brand of formula. They only participate with the Enfamil company. The Nestle Good Start Soy Formula has had better effects for my son. He hasn't any problems with constipation or been as grochy with this brand. Now with the other brands of formula I have tried, he has had a lot of problems since he was born. If the WIC program participated with this brand of formula I would love it. Now even though I don't recieve Nestle Good Start Soy Formula with my WIC benefits I still buy it if I have the extra money or if I get a coupon in the mail to help me save money. If I had to rate this brand with other brands that I have tried in the past, they would be rated as follows. 1) Nestle Good Start Soy Formula, 2) Emfamil Soy Formula, 3) Parent's Choice Soy Formula, and then 4) Similac Soy Formila. But...
...

Use caution when trying to save money and using Good Start formula with soy, instead of Enfamil. Our grandson ended up being alergic to this as well. I am sure its not so with all children, but be aware when giving this brand a try. Now Good Start was good for our other grandson to switch to.
...

maddiesaesdaddy says "I love being able to have my daughter on soybased formula" about Nestle Good Start Soy Formula

My daughter went through several formulas before we tried this one. She has had severe GERD since she was 2 weeks old. We took her to the emergency room due to this problem and they told us to put her on the alimentum formula by similac and she got WORSE. She only ate 1 bottle in 24 hours so that night I went out and bought her the Nestle Good start Soy Based Infant formula and she improved one hundred percent over night. She has now been on Nestle Good Start Soy Based Formula for about seven months or so and has been doing wonderful. Though it does not smell that great and leaves my bottles smelling though I scrub them after each use with soap. I also am very conscious of the price and it is a little high and that makes it hard because I NEVER get any coupons for the formula like I do for similac and even the walmart brand. But with my daughter having to have it, it is worth every penny they charge because she seems to love it.
...

when i had my first son who is now four, he was born 3 weeks early. and although he was healthy, he couldn't digest regular formula very well. making his weight a little worrysome sometimes. so his doctor wanted me to switch him to a soy formula. so i switched to the nestle goodstart supremme soy formula and i saw immidiatly a difference. he was eating more and more and was not spitting up, or getting gassy, or fussy. it was amazing. his weight became more stable and he became a whole new baby! nestle good start supreme was a lifesavor for me. i would recomend it to anyone i could. although breast feeding is the best for your baby, i would say the next best thing is the nestle good start supreme formula. my son is now able to eat anydairy product, an has very little problems now. he is still a skinny little thing, but even though his beginning was a little shaky, nestle good start helped out so much to get things on track. i just want to say that anyone who cannot breastfeed, your second...
...

My son was probably on every formula out there. He started spittiing up around 2 weeks old and they put him on enfamil AR, that was a complete nightmare. The enfamil AR still has the milk protein in it so it really doesn't help babies who are lactose intolerant. Needless to say, we were told to put him on a soy formula, so we tried the Goodstart soy. He continued to spit up with the powder so we tried the concentrated, and it was like a miracle. Don't get me wrong, he still spit up multiple times throughout the day, but it wasn't every 5 minutes, he quit having gas also. The soy formula does smell a little worse than the regular formula, but it is definetly worth it if it means your child can have a little peace and feel a lot better. We normally went to Walmart to buy the formula because there was such a huge difference in price compared to your average grocery store. I would highly recommend the Goodstart Soy Formula to anyone out there who is having difficulty with their...
...

Nestle good start soy formula all together is a good brand of formula. i do however have some issues with it. my daughter was switched to soy a couple of days after she was born. she was switched to the soy based formula because she was spitting up alot and the hospital thought that she might be allergic to the formula she was on. however, after she was switched to nestle good start soy formula she still spit up just as much as she did before on the non soy based formula. I am unsure about the differences in the two formulas the both seemed to cause my daughter to react in the same way. i took about four months for the formula to start working correctly and subside my daughter's spitting up.Even though i do have a few minor complaints about the formula nestle good start soy i would recemend it to others. all though it took a little while for it to work after it started to work it worked rather well.
...

When I was pregnant with my daughter she had such a strong dairy allergy that she made me lactose intolerant. When she was born the hospital tried her on a milk based formula and she immediately spit it up. They then put her on Similac's Soy formula. She responded well to it, but we noticed it was very expensive and the coupons they produce aren't much of a savings. We looked into other brands, but were nervous about switching. I was only able to breast feed for 2 months and even then had to suppliment because I didn't produce enough. We spoke with her doctor and he said it would be ok to switch to Nestle's Good Start as long as it was soy. We nervously bought a can knowing that we couldn't return it if she didn't like it. She loved it! We then e-mailed the company and told them about how much we loved their formula and they were very generous with their coupons. Also, for those who are on WIC, this is the formula that they give you so no need to worry about losing any of the nutritional...
...

ladylovebug02 says "Best of the best" about Nestle Good Start Soy Formula

Being a mother of two I have used this formula more than once in the past five years and I can only say that it only gets better as the years advance. This formula is very inexpensive and if you sign up at goodstart.com you can receive free sample containers of this formula and many coupons worth up to $15.00 off your formula purchase. These coupons are sent more than 6 times a year.

My son had an allergy to milk so we used this formula (soy) and it seemed to be the only thing he could keep down. As for gas with all formulas, I actually found this formula to cause the least amount of gas in my son. This makes for shorter nights, as baby will sleep all the way through, to much better smelling days without that dreadful gas that tends to be caused by other leading formulas.

I would recommend this formula to anyone wanting to save a buck! I always suggest Goodstart to all my pregnant friends.
...

Carnation Good Start Soy Formula is the best formula for a baby's sensitive tummy! All three of my children had sensitive tummy's, as newborns, and this formula worked better than any other! I went through about 6 or 7 different formulas before trying Carnation Good Start Soy, with the same results each time.....constipation, upset tummy, spitting up, etc. This formula had the effect I was looking for. Within about 3 to 4 days of switching to this formula, my baby's stool softened up, upset tummy went away, and the spitting up became minimal to non-existent. As my baby got older, I switched to Carnation Good Start low iron, then to regular Carnation Good Start. I had excellent results with all 3 of my children on this formula!
...

I desparately wanted to breastfeed my newborn daughter but after finding out she was likely lactose-intolerant, I introduced her to Good Start Soy formula as instructed by my doctor. I wanted to switch back to breastfeeding so I cut dairy out of my diet but my supply began to dwindle so she became strictly formula fed. We haven't had any issues with the formula. It's easy to prepare & store as well as very gentle on her tummy. She rarely spits up or develops tummy aches. I would recommend this to parents of children who might be lactose-intolerant. If you sign up for Good Start's Start Healthy, Stay Healthy program, they send you coupons for formula which can save you quite a bit. At our local Rite-Aid, this formula is $15 a can so the coupons really come in handy!...

My almost 6mth old is really accustomed to the Enfamil Lactofree. But recently we have seen a price hike in the cost of Enfamil products so we decided to buy the Nestle Goodstart from a local supermarket to give it a try. On opening the can, I could tell the smell was totally different from what we were used to with the Enfamil and then upon tasting it, I had made up in my mind that maybe we had made a bad decision. It was awful and Sunshine spat it up for two days straight at every feed; something she did not do not even for one feed with the Enfamil. Then I tried the Similac milk-based formula but that did not go well either as she hardly drank any of it even though she was hungry. So needless to say, I have stuck with the Enfamil brand and am now trying the Enfamil Iron....
