My husband bought Nation Treasures for the family. It was very enjoyable. Some parts of the story were a little out there, but all in all the history in National Treasures was great. It made us see the Declaration of Independence in a different way. My teens were very intrigued and actually went to the library to research which parts of the movie National Treasures was real and which was not.

During a dedication ceremony of Civil War memorabilia, Benjamin Franklin Gates (Nicolas Cage) was confronted with Mitch Wilkinson (Ed Harris) saying that he had proof that Gates' great, great granddad was involved in the assassination plot of President Lincoln. What would you do if you were told one of your ancestors may have been involved in one of the worst days in American history? Exactly what Gates and his team (dad, mom, girlfriend, and friend) did, follow the clues to prove he was fighting against the group that was involved and burning the information that would have changed the outcome of the Civil War. Those clues came from different places, an old diary starts them with a cryptogram that leads them to the statue of liberty (did you know there were 3). Following the clues led them to Buckingham palace and the White house, while some clues were easier to retrieve, some took a little more maneuvering to find just the right approach and the right questions to get the answers....

National Treasure 2 had a great story line to it. Some of the elements were a little far fetched, and circumstances had to be just right. The action was good, the plot was good, the acting was great. Overall I definately recommend it....

This was an excellent movie to go see as an entire family! The first 'National Treasure' movie was the first my family went to see at the theatres together in a long time. It was great to be brought back again for such a thrilling sequel!

Often we are disappointed by the second movie in a series, but this one takes just as many unexpected twists and turns as the first and makes you feel like a real slueth as you try to keep up with the clues!

As someone who doesn't spend a lot of time at the movies, I do spend a lot of time doing the family around the dvd player routine. National Treasure:Book of Secrets is good, it has a new plot, and is great for those who want to know what happened next. As far as the movie goes I was a little disappointed. After watching the first movie and spending a lot of time on the edge of my seat, this one had me wondering when the action would begin. Did they cut out too much or just not put it in? It's a good movie, and has some real enjoyable comic moments, but if you watched the first one it's a let down. While the acting was good you get the feeling they spent so much time trying to get the next one out they forgot about the action. In Book of Secrets the mystery may be a bit better, but it just lacked the heart pounding will they make it feel. I recommend watching this movie, but don't waste your money on movie tickets wait for the dvd....

This movie was very good. It was full of action and history and definately kept the audiences attention. Nicholas Cage was great as usual. The characters had great chemistry. Watched it on the 4th of July and felt very patriotic. I would recommend this movie to any hustory buff, action movie lover, or American. :)...

A great buy not as good as the first movie but great. This movie is for everyone i've seen the first about 10 times and its great to have something new. And at times this movie has scenes that seem to be out of a James Bond movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also this has quite a bit of hilarious parts. Actors were outstanding especially Nicholas Cage as usual. ...

This was a wonderful, action packed film which taught me a lot about history that I didn't already know!! I was surprised by the amount of action and the fact that this movie was as good as the first.Usually the sequel doesn't turn out to be half as good as the original movie. Not only was the movie educational about history, but there were a lot of clues to figure out and tons of action to keep you on your toes!!

I really loved the first national treasure movie so I was really glad that this was lived up to expectations. Lots of twists and turns and made you think alot. I thought this was just as good as the first movie. I would highly reccomend this movie to anyone who liked the first o ne. Cage is once again awesome and I will buy this when it comes out on dvd. I love this movie...

National Treasure: Book of Secrets was enticing, and was able to incorporate some humour into an adventure movie. For fans of comedies and adventure, and maybe even some history freaks out there, this is a movie to keep your eye on.
