The Mr. Coffee FTX251 12-cup coffee maker brews a very tasty cup of coffee, and the coffee stays warm a long time in the carafe. The pause n'serve asset is great, since I'm usually in a hurry to get my first cup in the morning. I really like that it shuts itself off, since I'm always worried I left something on. Best coffee maker I've ever had.

Our cheapy version coffee maker died a couple years ago so we were on the hunt for a new one. Since we had an amazon.com gift card to use we searched there for a replacement and found the Mr. Coffee FTX251 12-cup coffee maker at a decent price. It seems to us that it makes coffee faster than the older coffee maker we had. There is a clock and various options to select if you want your coffee to be made at a certain time, etc. Great for mornings when you don't want to get up extra early to make coffee. It's attractive - black and chrome-look. The clock is that low-glow green light at night. There is also a 2-hour automatic shut-off so you won't forget to turn it off (or at least you don't have to worry about forgetting to shut it off). We had one issue happen that we thought was detrimental but it turned out okay. I bought this unit for my new home in August of 2008, and have now been in my home for about 7 months. How times have changed with this sucker ! After just a little more than a year, this coffee pot went belly up. Our previous Mr Coffee lasted more than 2 years. One day, it started steaming the coffee grounds instead of dripping water through them. I tried running vinegar through several times. That didn't seem to help any....

Our old coffee maker broke and we looked in to several different coffee makers. The reasons we chose this one was the convenience of the timer, an automatic shut-off after two hours and of course the price. Although it is sold at different stores, the cheapest place (under $40), was Wal-Mart. The coffee maker uses egular filters and though it looks complicated, its very easy to use....

We purchased this coffee maker last year when our previous one died. We loved the aesthetics of the maker and the name brand gave us convidence when purchasing. Well, about 6 months later, the coffee maker starting making morning life miserable! Half of the water would turn into steam, which ruined two of our kitchen cabinets. When pouring 12 cups of water in, only 4 would be left in the pot, making horrible coffee and a MESS on the counter and a cabinet above. We tried pulling it out on the edge of the counter to reduce moisture on the above cabinet, but to no avail. We tried cleaning it through the recommended cleaning process, it only made it worse. We had to throw away a $60 coffee pot after 6 months and trade in the Mr.Coffee for a Cuisinart. I plan on never purchasing a Mr. Coffee product again!...

I'm on my second Mr. Coffee coffee maker. The first one simply quit working after about 10 months. I wrote to the Mr. Coffee company. They were great to work with. I now have a brand new coffee maker courtesy of Mr. Coffee.

I'm enjoying great tasting coffee. I can pre-set my coffee for the morning, select my brew strength and the temperature of my coffee. My coffee maker is a 12 cup machine. The sleek style is attractive to keep on my kitchen counter.

I'm hoping this machine will last a long time because I truly enjoy the coffee it produces.

The best coffee maker for the money! Adjustable tempature heat plate is awesome (who would have thought)! Makes all coffee brands taste good, I think the water filtration system helps it to taste much better. I would recommend this product to everyone, for $38. it is a great buy....

Bought this coffee maker and had to return it. This coffee maker does not keep the coffee hot. If you like your coffee warm then it is fine but if you want hot coffee then this is not the machine for you....

I got this coffee maker for Christmas. I wasn't expecting something this fancy, but I love it! It looks great on the counter. The warmer temp control is great. The brew strength selection is wonderful. I also love the fact that it has an alarm to let you know when the cycle is finished brewing. I guess the only problem I have with it is that when the alarm goes off there is still coffee to drain into the carafe. I would prefer if it would let you know when the coffee is COMPLETELY finished. I would deffinately recommend this product to friends and family.

Coffee in the morning is just a basic life necessity.

When I first saw this modern looking coffee maker I truly believed it would give my kitchen a whole new look. I also liked the warming function.I needed to be able to pour myself coffee during the brew cycle, and this feature was also noted on this machine. The charcoal filter to filter the water was not really important to me since I have a water filter anyway, but it was nice. I noticed that I could put this coffee maker into cleaning mode, and I could even decide on the strength of the coffee by pressing a button. I purchased this coffee maker for 39.99. I brought it home and began using it. The first time I brewed with it, was a breeze. Then came the second time...

I set it up that night and used the timer feature. I was excited to wake up to coffee all made in the morning. I was not prepared for the mess I found. I was surprised to find coffee spilling all over my counter and down the sides. I very unhappy when I discovered...

My husband and I purchased this coffee maker for our household to use once a day. It remained in our kitchen for less than a month before being tossed in the trash.

In the beginning it seemed to work perfectly fine, but we quickly started noticing coffee spills all over the countertop. At first it was just a small amount but very quickly escalated. Before long it seemed as if we had just poured the coffee directly onto the countertop itself. My husband checked all of the fittings and connections and everything seemed to be in place. We never could figure out why this thing was giving us such a hard time. As we spoke to friends and realtives about it, we found it's commonly known for this.

While we have had no other issues with Mr. Coffee products, I would say it's best to stear clear of this coffee pot. After we pitched this one we bought a Bunn coffee maker and not only does it work perfectly (with no leaking!!) but we have our coffee ready in less than a minute :)
