otr1014 says "good value for the money, but kinda delicate" about Motorola - V3 Cell Phone

When I bought my Motorola V3 RAZR phone I could not wait to have a slim phone. I thought I was going to be so glad to get rid of my old bulky phone, but in reality it's a trade-off. Yes my old phone was bulkier, but it was also tougher. The RAZR's slim design leads to a couple of problems. It seems like the top and the bottom half have gotten looser as I have owned the phone, like at some point it could break at the hinges. I find myself hitting the buttons on the side all the time when I hold the phone. The finish on it is easily scratched yet buying a cover for it defeats the purpose of having a slim phone since the cover makes it almost as thick as my old phone. Also, I found the cover tends to push buttons when you close the phone. I like the flat keyboard and the camera seems to work decently for the price range. Overall I'm pleased with the phone because it does function well, it has a good battery life, and it was nearly free after rebate, but next time I will do...
...

I had a motorola and it looks nice but very confrontational since we did not buy me it works very well with the battery discharge facility and I constantly had to go off more than 5 times to buy and where you changed the battery several times but I decided not worked well to charge the battery three times per day was well over a year until no change mas.decidi turned to my old cell phone and not deal with this more.
...

I've had this phone for over a year now and it's lasted longer than any other cell phone i've had, and let me tell you, i've dropped it enough times to know that it's a good phone. The only down side is the glass in the front, screen and camera cover, isnt all that durable and i've had to have it repaired, but that's no big deal compared to the trouble i've had with other phones
...

ivy45663 says "I loved my pink V3 razr" about Motorola - V3 Cell Phone

The pink V3 razr was the first cell phone I got. I loved that phone. It was just big enough. The ring tones could be set for different numbers and messages. It was really easy to text on it. There are a list of great features such as speakerphone, bluetooth, camera, and thin design that looks great. The V3 can be personalized with a lot of different colors, wallpapers, pictures, screensavers and sounds. You can buy ringtones from the Media Mall or if you have the software, you can make your own. The phone comes with a game called Jawbreaker and others can be purchased if desired. This phone's battery holds a charge for a long time before needing recharged. The only bad thing that I could say about the V3 is that the volume is kind of low, the speaker phone sounds great, but the ringtones are kind of low also and might cause a problem to soomeoen who has trouble hearing. and there is no memory card slot avilable. Its really sad that At&T discontinued this phone as I...
...

I like my red Razor it is a very tough phone. The phone gets great reception anywhere I travel in Maine. The megapixal camera is great for taking quick pix.The key pad is the only drawback. If you have big fingers like me the numbers are to close together so it is hard to dial and text messege with. The keyboard sensitivity is not the best.Battery life is real good. You can talk a long time on a charge. The outer casing of the razor is tough it does'nt crack easy as a business man who works outdoors that is a big plus.I'm very satisfied with my razor and reccomend it to everyone I talk to....

The Motorola V3 Rzr is the phone I'm reviewing. I really like this phone, however it does seem to have problems. Occasionally the phone will turn itself off during a call or a text.

Also, although the phone has an MP3 player there's no place for headphones to be plugged in so you have to listen to it out loud.

The battery life seems to deteriorate over time.

The camera takes photos that are of a high quality for a cell phone, but the picture frequently blurs in dim light or of it is not held perfectly still.

It is very easy to use, too.
...

The only real good thing I can say about this phone is that it is very sturdy. It's been dropped so many times & still works. It only has a few nicks & scratches. But the service is awful & the batteries always dead ( even before i dropped it!). I had anyother Motorola phone before this one & it had the same problems.......Motorola, are you getting a little cheap with your products?...

The Motorola v3 Razr is a really good phone. I've always preferred Nokia brand phones so I was a bit hesitant about getting this one instead but I'm glad I did.

The camera function is very easy to use and takes decent pictures. The video camera function and sound recorder are excellent extras.

The predictive text leaves a bit to be desired but is the best I've seen outside of Nokia phones. You can adjust whether predictive text is the default setting or not, and you can also adjust where in the menu your Outbox and Inbox and Drafts fall. The entire system is highly customizable, with the abilty to change everything from the sounds made when you use the camera to the menu thumbnails to the ring tones.

The battery life is nice and long, although if you use speakerphone or the AOL instant messenger function it can drain pretty quickly. I do wish the available space for pictures and messages was bigger but that's mostly just because I save almost all of my messages. That's easily fixed with a......

I live on a farm and so there are quite a few tests that a cell phone gets. mainly the big one is dust. It's everywhere. that and i'm in tight spaces alot so it takes a beating even though it's somewhat protected by my pocket. But amidst all that, my V3 RAZR is still running great!...
