The Motorola Razr is soon to be totally out of date. It appears that the world is migrating to smart phone and the Razr is firmly located in the old school arena. At one time it was the best money could buy, but that day is over. The sleek design and the electronic goodies are all passe now. It is 3G compatible, but the cost of linking to 3G is not worth it. Since my contract is up, I'll be looking for something more modern and trying to find a place where I can recycle my Razr. It has served me well for the two years that I have owned it.
...

siddahleigh says "Durable!" about Motorola - Razr Cell Phone

I've had my Razr for two years and it is the first time a cell phone has lasted through the length of my contract. It has been dropped on cement, in the snow, in puddles, stepped on, and practically exploded on countless occasions, and it still works! There are only a couple things I don't like about it; first of all, the glue holding the cover of the display on has gotten kind of gunky over the years and occasionally likes to stick to the side of my face, and secondly, the buttons are getting a little hard to push. Overall it is affordable and good quality....

All in all, the Motorola Razr is a pretty decent phone, especially for non-techy types. The battery is long lasting, though charging a depleted battery can take a while. Frequent dropping of the Motorla Razr seem to impact how long the battery will hold a charge, so you'll need to be careful with this one. The phone includes several features, which are fairly user friendly for incidental use. As one might expect, web browser, digital camera, email and text messaging capacity are included with this phone. While you won't be taking professional quality pictures, the camera is easy and fun to use. Web browsing, email and text messaging are functional, though the lack of a full keypad can slow down an inexperienced user. The display screen could be clearer, and fingerprints, etc. can quickly mar visibility. One feature that I don't care for is the included clock function. When the phone is open, a clock face is displayed, but without numbers. It's hard to quickly tell what...
...

laci1989 says "razr is easy to hold, but sucks in everything else." about Motorola - Razr Cell Phone

The motorola razr is easy to hold and nice using it to talk on because it isn't heavy at all, but it has a crappy camera and dies real quick. The only way the cameras pictures come out good is if you are in a room with a lot of light and that goes the same with capturing videos. It doesn't have a lot of space on it either and only fits about 100 text messages until you have to delete them. It also has a block on it where you can't save any sounds that people send you or you make as a ringtone. You can only have ringtones you buy which is stupid. I loved my razr when i first got it until i found out all these things. The only good thing about it is that i dropped it so many times and it has yet to break, surprisingly. If you are looking to buy a razr it is one big mistake and you are wasting your money so if i were you I would by something made by samsung or something. Good luck and I hope you make the right choice.
...

I bought my Motorola Razr Though cell phones should only be as good as the calls they make, the hype over a trendsetting design is not something that mobile manufacturers have ignored. And this autumn, there's no better example of supercool design than the long-awaited Motorola Razr V3. Fashioned like no other handset before it, the razor-thin V3 adds a ton of much-needed bling to Cingular's formerly staid lineup. Indeed, even we were frothing at the mouth to give it a test spin--not only for the flashy form factor but also for the promised high-end goodies. Fortunately, the V3 delivers in all areas and is one instance where a cell phone has stood up to the excitement. Though the V3 is expensive at $449, consumers looking for a conversation-piece cell phone can do no better. Hopefully, Cingular will lower the price in the near future.I just all around enjoy the benifits of having this phone.
...

This MOTOROLA RAZR camera phone is a sleek, and functional phone has given me two years of undivided service. I have had no issues with this phone and rarely (if ever) has it dropped a call. It is durable, as I have accidentally dropped it several times with no problems. The screen is easy to read and its functionability to easy to navigate. From texting to its voice mail properties, I'm sure that you will be happy with its simple operation. Its picture taking abilitys are also a great asset to this little beauty as you will see from your firts photo oppertunity. I have attempted to purchase a new RAZR from my local ATT cell phone store only to be told that it has been discontinued. I have no idea as to why they would discontinue such a great phone, but I do know that they are readily available for purchase on ebay for less than one hundred dollars. If you are looking for a thin design but fully functional phone this one just can't be beat!
...

When I looked for a new cell phone I couldn't wait to try a Motorola RAZR. I liked the slimness and I couldn't wait to have a camera phone. In reality it is rather fragile. The shiny finish is easily marred so I bought a cover for it. The cover had two drawbacks, one, it made the phone bulky again and two, when the phone was closed the cover could inadvertently push buttons. So I had to get rid of the cover and I was back to a scratched phone. The keypad is fairly easy to use but I find it hard to hold and talk on the phone without accidentally hitting the buttons on the side. Also it is hard to dial one-handed without hitting those same buttons. I chose this phone from a picture on a web site and really should have gone to a cell store and handled the phones before I chose one. It does have a couple of good points it is nice and slim, it has excellent sound, it was a good value for the money and it has a decent battery life.
...

One of the most popular phones out there, Motorola's sleek and slim RAZR definitely grabs people's attention. Armed with a variety of features, this phone definitely tops the list for versatility, but it likely isn't the best phone for people who want a lot of applications and features.

Pros

The Motorola RAZR V3 has a beautiful design, including a crisp, colorful LCD screen; a thin, lightweight body; easy-to-press buttons; a built-in camera; and world phone support. It also includes voice recognition and recording capabilities.

The camera is situated out of the way of fingers and when closed, the external display acts as a viewfinder. The 1000-name phone book can hold six phone numbers and an email address for every entry, and entries can be paired with a picture and up to 14 different polyphonic ringtones. The Motorola RAZR also has Web browsing capability. Call quality is excellent, but those with hearing impairment should test the phone first.

Cons

Like other RAZR phones before...
...

The Razr V3 is a great phone. Has all the basic tools an active person needs such as camera, video, calendar to schedule appointments, alarms, games, and the ability to access the web. You also have the ability to download games from their website. The Bejeweled trial game which came with the phone has kept me awake during many long hours at the airport. Its slim and sleek and fits neatly in any of my pockets. I've dropped my phone at least 10 times and it does have normal wear and tear on the phone like nicks and scratches, but it still works like a charm. The only thing I've had to replace was the battery, but it was probably because I got it wet. The screen is very easy to read, the battery meter always warns me when I have a low battery, and the signal indicator is in plain view when I open the phone. The buttons on the phone are easy to press when dialing phone numbers or text. I've had this phone for over 3 years and taken a lot of pictures of my family and preserved...
...
