Do not buy this phone if you are looking for a dependable cell phone with a good deal of battery life. Even with the purchase of an extended battery, this phone does not hold a charge as compared to other cellphones I've owned. It also frequently locks up, as though it can only handle so much.

I was new to Verizon and was looking for a stylish phone and definitely wanted one with a QWERTY keyboard option. The Motoq 9m comes in red with is a nice change from the black and silver phones. Overall I like it. I ended up upgrading to the BB storm but I kept my Motoq just in case!!

The negatives are the phone does not have the greatest battery life and does not have an option to download ringtones. I found a program online that showed me how to download songs and make my own but it was a real pain so I did not do it more than once.This phone left me with a very positive feeling about Motorola so in the future I may try another model.

While I love being able to have my fingers on the pulse of things at the office while I'm away from my PC the bugs of this phone really bug me. The phone shuts itself off quite often and the battery life isn't the best. It also sometimes locks up. The phone itself is easy to use and the storage capacity for contacts is great. I think I'll be getting a Blackberry though next time....

THE ORIGINAL MOTOROLA Q

Bought this "smartphone" because it was supposed to do more than you would expect from and cell phone. It did do everything alright, let me check and write e-mails, play select games on the web, get the current weather information but when it came to sending text messages there was one BIG flaw ... it wouldn't let me attach pictures - nor would it let me see text forwards with pictures on it. On my old phone it may have taken off the picture and i was able to read the message, but on the Q it sent me a msg saying they had to "re-work" the text, but that's all I got. Was disappointed in spending so much on a "Smartphone" and not getting when i get from a cheap phone when it comes to text messaging.

It's a pretty good device. Despite the MS OS issues - it sometimes acts more like my PC than a phone, I love having Exchange synched so all email, outlook appoints, etc. show up on my phone. The screen is bigger than an iPod's and is pretty lite....

I purchased the Silver Motorola Q on a whim. I wanted something similar to a Blackberry and after fidgeting with a friend's new Q impulsively made the purchase. After all was said and done (phone, accessories, etc.) I paid nearly $500, which could have gotten me an IPhone a few short months later!

Issues with the phone:
Internet not convenient.
Never keeps a charge; by mid-afternoon I have a "dead" phone.
Can't purchase ring-tones.
Poor audio.
Camera not so great.
Receive error messages constantly (draining battery)
Frequently unable to receive or send MMS messages
Key pad went loopy (would only dial #4)
new phone didn't light up & keypad was also loopy

Last & Current phone had a working keypad, but with all the other problems. Recently having problems with keypad again. Told by Verizon that the black phones supposedly have less technical issues. I'm about to exchange for the- in my opinion- less attractive black phone until I can trade in.

I've had my Moto Q for about a month, and I'm really happy with it so far. The keyboard is just the right size, and it's easy to use. The only drawback is the battery life - it needs a charge every night.

Wish I could switch phones. Motoral Q is the company standard but its very flawed. Not a good user experience. If you can keep it charged its a pain to use. Locks up all the time. Very slow to load programs. Cumbersome set up. Go for a Blackberry if you can....

Great planner and superb for txting. Nice features, though some are very complex, especially startup. Had to speak to three service reps from Sprint and then take to Sprint store since operators wern't able to program with preexisting cell number--remember it is a "data phone". Like the dual key pad feature and nice bright screen size and color. Very sturdy, but should be for the price. Have had since December and was worried since it seemed fragile at first. I am somewhat hard on my phones. Has withstood day to day wear and tear. Did have one instance of phone failure-had to do a complete system restore- Big hassle due to loss of ALL data-contact info, photos, etc. Sprint rep. stated" Has been an issue with the Q."

Excellent reception with Blue-tooth, overall great data phone.

This phone met all my needs except for when it came to music. Its so hard to figure out how to take a song and make it your ringtone!! I love to do that and its just become quite an issue with this phone. Alot of the programs that I would like to add to it also are quite expensive. Overall this is a good phone for calender and e-mail but beyond that its nots so great....

The sound quality on this phone is terrific. It's the best quality of any cells I've used in the past. The buttons are a bit small, but you get used to it after awhile. It has Windows Mobile as the OS and you can download programs to help customize the user experience. I use it as a PDA to store all of my contact information, I have several games on it, and I use eReader and MobiPocket to read books. With all of this, I never get bored when I am forced to wait in a Doctor's office or get stuck in rush hour traffic! The size is great for a purse pocket or even a back pocket of your jeans! I don't use a case, but have put Best Skins Ever on it to prevent it from scratching. It has a mini SD slot (which I haven't had to use yet). The battery life is only OK, but I purchased a second battery and just keep them charged so I can swap whenever necessary. Even the camera has decent quality! The only drawback is that itis hard to see the screen on a brigh sunny day....

I bought my phone under Verizon three months ago. The service and the plan seemed to be good. Never get any dropped calls and sound quality is pretty good. I actually have the MOTO Q 9m(Q Music) so the speaker volume for your downloaded music actually sounds great. The place I have the most problems with this phone is since I got this phone for the web capabilities its getting increasingly getting slower and I can barely access the web anymore. I downloaded Trend Micro Mobile Security and still runs slowly. So if you think you want this phone for access to a wide range of sites make sure to get virus protection software before visiting all your favorite sites (i.e.- MySpace)

I've used the Q for almost a year now and the convenience is fantastic. It was easy to synchronize with our work server and very handy. The bluetooth earpiece, extended battery life, and qwerty keyboard are all advantages over the blackberry I used to use. I also use the internet connection on it to go online wiht my laptop whereever I'm at. ...

I had this phone for two weeks. The first day was great, but after that, the phon started to do odd things, like shut itself down and call people back on its own. I acually had it record a conversation and leave it on my husband's voicemail. It was more trouble than it was worth. I took it back and got the EnV from Verizon. LG phones are the best....
