bg20087 says "The Motorola Q does not have a long battery life" about Motorola - Q Cell Phone

I have had several Motorola Q phones over the past 3 years. Every single one of them has been less than ideal. The battery life is much less than any other cell phone I have ever owned. I was initially very excited about the phone when I first got it. Although it took a little getting used to, as is the case with all new phones, it seemed to be very user friendly. Then, as time went on I noticed the phone would die so quickly...even in the middle of important conversations, which was really annoying. So, I decided to purchase the extended battery (along with the back extended battery face plate that is required). I thouht that after this additional outlay, my problems would be solved. Although the extended battery makes the problem better, it still is a really short battery life.

The other problem I have had is that the phone (each of them I have owned) will occasionally lock up completely. This requires you to power it off and on again, which is very time consuming.
...

The Motorola Q is a good phone, but could be better. The full key board is great for imputing information and texting, but the addition of a touch screen could greatly improve this product. The operating system is modified to work on this phone and loses some of its functionality. This was not my first choice for a phone but because of requirements from my carrier this is the phone I purchased. So far I have had no problems with the phone. Everything works great and phone reception is awesome. I do wish that there were more applications to add to the phone. The camera is not the greatest, but is good enough in a pinch. All in all I think this is a good phone if you do not intend to use this for going on the internet (a bit difficult without the touch screen). Great for texting and using the calendar and keeping track of contacts. Great sync with the computer, helps with keeping track of appointments. I personally don't use my phone for email, so I cannot comment on...
...

RachaelCraig says "It's not all they led us to believe!" about Motorola - Q Cell Phone

I was not at all impressed by the Motorola Q by Sprint. It didn't do the features that we were told when purchasing it. It does offer many features, but is very complicated to most tasks. This phone is windows based, so you can receive your e-mail, but 9 out of 10 times you can only access the words, no pics. When sending picture mail, you must go online to do so. No sending it from your phone. The battery life is very short, even if you get the extended life battery. I ahve also had many problems w/ the kieys not working. Make-up, sweat, & just plain dirt & dust gets in behind the keys. Then you have to go days with out a phone, until insurance can send you another. All in all I would say the phone is way too overpriced for what it does! ...
