My in laws read about this amazing blanket in our local paper almost 5 years ago.

At the time, I was pregnant with my 1st baby. They ran out & bought it for us & we thought it was kinda silly. Couldn't a receiving blanket or cheaper version do the same trick?

They bought us the green one, since we were having our first child, a boy & wanted more babies.

This blanket was used for my son till he outgrew it & has since been passed around to all my friends who eventually bought their own.

We now have a newborn daughter & I am still using this wonderful blanket. In fact, we've bought a 2nd one because she has reflux & spits up on the green one. We couldn't go a night without it, so a second one was a must for our family.

The blanket has been used almost non stop since March 2005 & has held up great. I was surprised at how well it wears.

I am not very good at all when it comes to swaddling my babies. It seems the blankets always comes loose or I have extra material...
...

When I packed mine and my babys bag to bring to the hospital to deliver, One of the items I packed was "Miracle Baby Blanket" Swaddle blanket.

My child did so well in the Miracle Blanket. She could get out of all of the other swaddle blankets her first week at home. This kept her warm and her hands from scratching her face. This is a great product! I recommend it to all moms. Plus, you don't need a positioner, this keeps the baby in one place.
...

When my son, now 3 years old, was a mere 12 weeks old.we were struggling to get him to sleep AT ALL. He would break out of traditional swaddles and smack himself in the face, and he would even break out of velcro swaddles. Enter the Miracle Blanket. For the first time in his short life, my son slept for a 5-hour stretch. He would calm down immediately when we used it. I only wish we had discovered it sooner! Now that I have another infant, we swaddle her in the Miracle Blanket as well. We had started with traditional hospital blankets, but as soon as she was out of them we switched to the Miracle Blanket, and she is a happy sleeper. Plus I found that when my son became a better sleeper, he became happier as well!

I have seen a couple of people say that babies do not develop well when swaddled in this blanket. I can state for a fact that my son's gross and fine motor skills were not at all delayed after four months in this blanket!
...

I bought the mirical baby blanket when i was at my wits end with my daughter when she was an infant. she would only sleep when i held her or wrapped her so tight with a blanket, but the regular blanket would not be snug or come undone. After i got the blanket and started using it. she slept so soundly on her own, it saved me. It was easy to wrap her up and i could get the blanket nice and snug but she would be safe in it. It would stay tight because they slept sound and didnt wriggle around. I would definatley reccomend this to any one.
...

tbean says "The BEST swaddle blanket is the Miracle Blanket!" about Miracle Baby Blanket

After having an older daughter who was a terrible sleeper, I was determined to get it right with my second born. All the "experts" recommended swaddling. I had bought several general recieving blankets and they were doing the job pretty well. Only as my son grew, he grew out of the blankets. He was able to break out pretty quickly and would then, wake up. A friend of mine suggested the Miracle Blanket. She even had a spare to lend to me. I LOVED IT!! And what a simple idea. After trying it for a few weeks, I went out and bought 2!! (you know, one to use and one to have clean). My son used these blankets for almost 6 months!! He was (and still is) and FABULOUS sleeper. I highly, highly recommend these blankets. Yes they are expensive, but they are way worth it. These blankets kept my son all tucked in, all night long. He was able to develop good sleeping habits and keep them. I think the best part is, there is no velcro or snaps that other swaddle makers use. You just wrap and wrap them...
...

sharontaylor726 says "The best swaddle blanket available" about Miracle Baby Blanket

All of my friends who are moms raved about swaddling your baby when I was pregnant. I received several varieties of swaddle blankets at my baby shower and knew that each baby is different, so was open to using all of them.

One friend in particular raved about the Miracle Blanket. She said it was the only one that her son wasn't able to get out of when he was a baby.

Sure enough, when our son was born we tried out every option we had and quickly learned which ones worked and which ones didn't. At first, we could even use a regular blanket and he would be content. As he grew, he learned how to wriggle his arms out of the swaddle and he'd be crying again.

The Miracle Blanket is different from the rest in that it has a flap that wraps around your child several times to keep him tight. There are no velcro tabs, no buttons, no zippers. Just this one flap that can go around 3 times. And the benefit is that it will grow with your child. The others that we have use the velcro...
...

hudson2001 says "Frustrating to use if you have a wiggly baby" about Miracle Baby Blanket

I am sure this product is amazing for some people. Heck, a bunch of our friends SWORE by it. So, we ordered two of them. We have had them over a month now, and have only used them a handful of times.

Why?

Well, our baby is VERY active - which you would think this blanket is perfect for, since it keeps them contained. And it might, if we could actually get him IN it. Yes, we realize this is more our fault (and his) and NOT the fault of the blanket itself, but it's frustrating.

Why?

We try to wrap his Houdini-arms in the arm flaps, and by the time we have one flap tucked under him and are working on the second flap, the first one is already coming out. This is because you have to lift the baby (obviously) in order to place the arm flap under him (the whole point of pinning the arms). So while you are lifting him to place the second arm flap, if he is wiggling hard enough, the first arm will start to come loose--and just like any other swaddling, once an arm is even a little loose, that's...
...

I dont have children myself but I work in a big childcare center, So I think that I can bring a supported opinion. I have found that this swadller works wonders on several babies (probably 90%). All different personalities, once they start crying your swaddle them up and its instant relief. I would recommend this product for anyone who doesnt know what else to do for their fussy baby!...

Suzoncue says "5+++ Nothing Better, Nothing Simpler-Tried them All!!!" about Miracle Baby Blanket

At first I was reluctant to give the Miracle Blanket a try (after hearing from 5 girlfriends about how 'great' it was!) I thought 'what could be so magical about a piece of fabric?' After wasting money on three other versions (including a nice big square wrap) I gave in and paid the price (which I first thought was ridiculous given what 'I thought' it was.) Was I ever wrong!!! I can't say enough good things about this miracle. My son loves, loves, loves it. I've been able to take him off of Zantac (for reflux) and Simethicone (for gas) and he's finally sleeping 'like a baby' should sleep. And it is so easy to use too. It's dummie proof (my husband likes to joke!)

I would also like to mention and say thanks to Dr. Harvey Karp who helped in thoroughly explaining the concept behind swaddling and why babies do so well when wrapped up like a burrito! I highly recommend his 5 S's (www.thehappiestbaby.com). My husband wasn't so keen on the idea at first thinking it looked abusive......

MBSwaddler says "The most valuable thing we own!" about Miracle Baby Blanket

Holy Moly! The Miracle Blanket works wonderfully! My wife and I were at our wits end lacking sleep. Our pediatrician recommended the Miracle Blanket. The day after we received the blanket was the first day my wife, our baby son and I felt rested. We did our homework. We looked at all the sleep products we could find and we settled on the Miracle Blanket when our pediatrician suggested it. He was RIGHT. We read a lot of research and learned that swaddling promotes great sleep habits and saves lives by helping babies sleep better on their backs. It helps them sleep better and develop better in every way. The Miracle Blanket makes the process easy and super effective. Sleep for the parents is the cherry on the cake for us. And the company's customer service is phenominal as well. I know that there are millions of rested parents who agree: We could not recommend this product enough!...

As a first time grandmother and experienced mother of three, I am horrified by the so-called 'Miracle Blanket' that restrains baby's arms and hands during the night. Does it calm the baby? Yes, when first put on. Does the baby sleep longer? Yes. Busy working parents are quite pleased.

But in the 'Miracle Blanket', does the baby develop physical skills properly? Probably no. My now almost-three month old grandson is put in the so-called miracle blanket 10 to 12 hours every night. He has become reluctant to use his balled-up tiny fists for anything. He flinches away when anyone touches his hands or fingers, or tries to open up his hands. He is slow to reach out and touch objects in front of him. The range of motion in his shoulders is poor. The muscle tone in his shoulders and arms is poor. Yet his less-swaddled legs are extremely strong.

When baby eventually gets hungry at night and starts to cry, he is completely restrained from waving his arms to...
...
