nenane7 says "Got back a shopping bag left behind on MWAir plane" about Midwest Airlines

Just wanted to leave a nice word for the Midwest Air staff who retrieved my shopping bag from the DSM-MKE flight this past Sunday.

I forgot to grab my bag full of gifts and some nice personal items from under the seat in front of me and realized what happened when I was already in NYC. I called immediately and, disheartened not to hear a live person's voice on the lost-and-found number, left a voicemail with my info. Well I got a call back Monday morning. Cindy from MWAir confirmed the item description and I have received my bag today.

I've had jewelry stolen from my checked baggage while flying American and I couldn't get a hold of them for weeks! Needless to say the process took months and my filed claim was denied. Just goes to show, flying small airlines is the way to go.

Thank you!
...

i recently bought an airline ticket threw the company "midwest". (on 8-22-2009) all was well until i started receving e-mails concerning my flights, i got 5 of these e-mails!! the first 4 e-mails were about a change in my flight and that i had to make other arrangments to get to my destination...finally the last e-mail i recived (10-3-2009) was an e-mail stating the my flight was no longer available (for a travel date of 11-27-2009). so i contacted the airline company and they told me that there was nothng that they could do and that "this kinda thing happends all the time". they gave me NO reason to as why this was happening and the lady that i had talked to told me that the only other option that i had was to have my money refunded. so she begain to start the process of refunding me my money which was with debt card at the end of our call she told me that it would be 4-6 weeks before i would recieve my money! at this point i was in tears, i needed the $400.00 back to buy another ticket...
...

I travelled recently from Boston to Milwaukee - roundtrip, direct flights. The flight fare is less than the fares of other airlines .. the employees are very nice and the cookies that they served in flight.. really surprised me.

I would definitely recommend Midwest Airlines and I purchased flight tickets for my next two trips to Milwaukee..
...

Perhaps my headline sounds very cliche but I've never been more serious in my life.We were flying out of Kansas City heading to Nashville. We boarded the plane and then it was announced that we were short a flight attendent and that we'd be delayed for "15 min". BS! We sat on the runway for 2 hours! Obviously the airline was not properly prepared for the flight and instead of being truthful to us they continued to lie about how long it was going to be til we took off. At one point we were told that a flight attendant had showed up (the whole plane exploded into applause) only to be told 5 min later that she didn't bring her ID so she couldn't get through security!!!! I was one of the lucky ones that made my connecting flight in Milwaukee but others had to catch a BUS to Green Bay because they missed their connecting flights. But oh.. we got 2 cookies instead of one. So that made it all better right. Please!!As if that wasnt bad enough coming back from Nashville we were delayed in Milwaukee...
...

Midwest Airlines -pI have been a frequent flier for 2 years, have thier credit card and everything. They canceled routes from Orland to Milwaukee and did not noitify me. When I sent an email well over a month ago they were too busy to answer. It took American 3 days of trying before they could get in touch with them to rebook the ticket. I couldn't even get in the que for 2 days. Today they have a new website that does not work, 70 minutes on the phone. They are busy and cannot answer the phone or emails. Perhaps they should think about how they allocate thier resources....

I have flown Midwest Express several times. They have friendly customer service, nice planes, easy check-in,. and good prices. They do not fly to as many destinations as some of the ;arger companies but they go where I need to go! I would use them again and always search for their rates first since they are so easy to deal with....

broomballwilson says "No exceptions made in their horrible anti-customer policies" about Midwest Airlines

Everything I read about Midwest on their website was all about their customer service and how great they are.

Lies.

I flew to Michigan for my wedding after getting laid off and decided that I would spend more time in Michigan rather than flying back to Boston for a job that didnt exist. As a result my schedule dictated that I would skip my return flight to Boston on NWA, then skip my flight back to MI on Midwest Airlines.

I called to make sure this was ok. Of course it wasnt! Why, I had purchased a nonrefundable, unchangebale fare, so they couldnt help me.

I further asked how my skipping the outbound flight in any way whatsoever adversely impacted Midwest airlines. I told them I was not asking for one cent back of the $400 I already paid. I just wanted to leave two seats empty on two flight segments for Midwest to sell at their leaisure. But this would cost me $100 to convert my flight from a roundtrip to a one way!

Now, call me crazy but I thought this nonsense was weird even back before......

As many people know, airlines have been struggling for quite some time now to remain afloat. Many airlines have had to cut back on their budget and this includes those once coveted snacks/meals we all once received several years ago. I frequently travel, at least 2-3 times a year and the cost of flying has not become all that inexpensive in recent times. Many things come into question when trying to decide which airline to fly, the most common being price. However, along with price comes the service provided. Many airlines now no longer serve any type of food at all unless otherwise purchased. They are also at many times, not very helpful when trying to remedy issues with flight arrangements. However, Midwest has risen above many of their fellow airlines to continue to provide quality service along with those coveted snacks we all enjoy. While it may not be the full-meal we once had, without a doubt, if you fly anywhere on Midwest now, you will received hot, tasty, chocolate chip cookies......

Midwest is know for flying on time, being friendly, lots of leg room, rare cancelations, and non-stop flights. Their slogan of The Best Care in the Air is not a joke. I am currently focusing on flying only Midwest or SWA out of Kansas City. American Airlines is a joke, and airlines like United, Continental and Delta are too darn expensive. ...

I had to make an unplanned trip at Thanksgiving because of a death in my family. I was told to try Midwest. This was on Sunday morning and I had a flight out the next morning with a return flight scheduled for the following Monday. I thought one week would be long enough. The service wasn't planned until after I arrived and was for the following Tuesday. Midwest 's Customer Service bent over backwards to change my flight information at no cost. The $100 fees were waived. You can not beat that for service. From now on I will go through them first....
