When I started my job a few years ago, I had to learn how to use Lotus Notes. It's hard to explain exactly what I hated about Lotus Notes, but I definitely HATED Lotus Notes. At a past job I used Outlook 2003, however in past jobs I never relied so much on email and calendars and such. At my current job, we live via email, we live by the calendar, and we live by many of the other features. Our email is open ALL DAY LONG. So after a few years of having Lotus, I was so excited to hear we would be moving to Outlook 2007.

Outlook 2007 is Stylish! I admit, I'm attracted to programs that look pretty. Usually pretty programs work relatively well because the creators know their user and knows how to attract their users attention. Outlook 2007 looks a lot like all the new Office 2007 products, except they don't have ribbons on all screens. Many people are happy they don't have a lot of ribbons, but personally I like it either way.

Outlook 2007 is QUICK! When I searched my inbox in...
...

recorey says "Good product, lots of changes" about Microsoft Outlook 2007

I just downloaded Office 2007. I've used Outlook forever - here are the changes that I don't care for in Outlook 2007:

- Can't create a personal address book. The default directs you to your contacts, therefore when you want to send an email to multiple recipients, you have to go through a ton of info (i.e., email addy, phone, fax line, etc).

-I had to create a copy of the contacts folder, rename it, delete the unnecessary info and make that new folder the address book default. LOTS of work.

- If a picture is embedded in the email, you can no longer right click and save the picture to a file. You have to copy the picture, open a picture viewer/editor program (doesn't come with your pc haha) and paste the picture there and save. TOO much work.

- When Outlook 2007 checks for new mail, you get that little envelope icon (double while while checking) in the tray. However, it gets stuck there (like it's always checking) until you waive the mouse over it.

...

luv2bmom2001 says "It's Great for my busy life!" about Microsoft Outlook 2007

MS Outlook Express is expensive, but worth every penny! I love how it organizes my busy life. I check my e-mail about 3 times a day, sometimes more, and it even has a task calender so when I check my e-mail, it pop's up ready to let me know what i need to do that day. Unlike Outlook 2003, the calender is in the same page as your e-mails, so you can check out your day while checking your mail. I recommend this to me friends & family or busy people in general.

This product helps me out a bundle with my newsletters I write for my Home-school group. I would recommend this to anyone!
...

TheBard says "The Best Overall Email/Contact Management Solutition" about Microsoft Outlook 2007

Email; it is the indispensable communications medium in this new age of the always available American worker. Speaking from myself I have (10) separate business and personal email addresses not counting the one associated with my two smart phones. Managing all of this email addresses would be a taunting chore were it not for the power and versatility of Microsoft Office Outlook 2007, which for my money the best Email/ Contact Manager on the market, bar none.
Office Outlook 2007, a part of the Microsoft Office suite of applications (but can also be purchased separately) is the suite's business and personal communications/collaboration client for connecting to Microsoft Exchange installation or external Internet based POP3 email providers like Yahoo Mail, EarthLink Mail Gmail, Hotmail, etc.

But Outlook 2007 is also a very robust (stand-a-lone) contact manager allowing you to schedule meeting, create a To-Do Task List, keep track of contacts, create Notes, and keep a running record...
...
