After driving a 2008 Mercedes Benz C300 for the last 4 weeks, I have decided that I would NEVER buy one.

I've been driving this car (its a rental) for the last 4 weeks while my car has been in the shop. At first glance it's a great looking car, but all this car has is its looks!

The steering is awful. If you drift at all (slightly into the next lane) and slightly grab the wheel to get back into your lane, BE CAREFUL...it'll take you into the lane on the other side of you. The steering is loose!!!

If you want a car with "guts" this is not the car for you. When you give it gas there is a huge delayed reaction. It has no pick up at all....none!

I drive an Audi A4 regularly. I will buy 1,000,000 more Audi's before I would even consider a Mercedes. I drove a C230 a few years ago that wasn't too bad, but would never own one. Audi has so much more pickup, and extremely tight steering. I think one of Mercedes' problems is that they make just too many different models. ...

The new Mercedes C-class is a looker.. there is no denying it. I got the second one in karachi, Pakistan. Turns heads wherever you go. Makes the older C-class look like a rip off. The model that I have custody of is a C200 Kompressor Avantgarde, and before I move on, buy the avantgarde package, that grill is worth it. Because everyday when its parked next to the Elegance model in the office, I thank myself for making the decision of buying the avantgarde, it changes the way you look at the car, the avantgarde in short would be something like Uma Thurman while the Elegance looks like an everyday pretty news reporter.

Moving on to other aspects of the car, Mercedes have done a great job with the interior, its actually exciting unlike the older model where you couldn't tell whether all the money you paid actually went into the car or to some drug lord in germany. The Sound system is amazing, almost makes you want to sit in your garage and listen to your music instead of in your lounge...

I just got a new 2008 C300 to replace my Lexus GS300. Talk about an upgrade! Its interesting - I paid more for my Lexus but never really loved the car. The montly paymetns were always a bit of a chore, but now I don't even mind or notice my car payment since I'm so crazy about my car.

Here are the highlights:

Talking GPS Navigation = a lifesiver!

IPOD Integration kit = awesome

Fast and efficient engine - you'll feel like you are driving a race car

Panoromic Sunroof = my friends kids list this as their favorite freature!

i have zlwys wnted nice car, UI searched and test drove many cars, based on dealer friendliness and service and value for what you nget I am so happy, I know this ncar will last me a very long time and am happy to be a mercedes owner now and always...

After having driven my 2008 C-Class, I'm of mixed opinion. The car's transmission is excellent - very smooth drive, and very quiet. Handling, braking, and overall feel of the car is also excellent. Cruise control is easy to figure out and a joy to use. Bluetooth is great.

What I don't like is the above-average, extensive use of plastics in a Mercedes-Benz. There is just too much plastic throughout the car. The instruments are placed well and look good, but it's ultimately unfortunate that all that vinyl and plastic takes away from the interior's appeal.

I'm also not overly impressed with the sound quality of the standard sound system. Wished I'd gone for the Harmon-Kardon.

The windshield wipers will stay up on the windows if you shut the engine off before you shut off the wipers. Minor detail, but a pain in the neck anyway.

It's good thing that mercedes finally realized that most american's can't afford to buy a $50,000 Benz and they're loosing out the younger crowd to the BMW 3-series and Infinity G35's or Lexus IS 350's because the C-class's of the past seemed more like an expensive version of the Honda Accord or Toyota Camry. People just won't buy it so they can say that they own a benz. However, Mercedes finally got it right with the economical line of C-class cars with this new C300, its flawless curves and exceptional acceleration will leave any man begging for more. I would have sex with my C300 if it were possible. However, this is the kind of car you'd treat like a new born baby, I would never have sex inside this car with my girlfriend. ...
