I have tried so many different types of toothpastes over the years, but have always found them to be way too minty. I just do not know why so many people believe that just because a dental product is heavy on mint that it is working any better than one that is just mildly flavored. I prefer a toothpaste that is clean tasting without burning from mint or alcohol, but still keeps your teeth clean and fresh feeling.

So far......this Mentadent is the best, paired up with "Act Dental Rinse" [no alcohol] and you have a winner!!!

I have been using Mentadent (Baking Soda & Peroxide) for over a year and I now have people asking me if I go to a dentist for professional cleaning. I feel proud to tell them that I use Mentadent toothpaste.

Everyone that I have recommended Mentadent to has said that they can actually rub their tongue across their teeth and feel how clean they are. I love Mentadent!

I bought products from this company the first week they were on the grocery shelf. They had great coupons, the product works great, and my teeth never felt cleaner!! They feel like I just came home from the dentist after getting a cleaning! I am still using my original pump! I have severe arthritis and it has not become an issue for me,, yet. I have used every flavor, every type they have made so far. I have gone back to tubed pastes and gels, but returned to this and really like it. It works even greater since I began using my crest spinbrush too!!The only downside for me is the non-recyclable packaging, but I guess since I am still using the same pump for all these years, it evens out with all the billions of tubes in the landfills.

I have used many toothpastes before but have never had one that whitened my teeth as good as this has. We have been using it for about a year now and wouldn't think about changing now. Just went to the dentist and got the best check up....

At the risk of sounding overly dramatic, I honestly feel that there has never been a better, more efficient toothpaste than Mentadent Advanced Whitening Toothpaste. I wish I owned stock in Church & Dwight, the company which makes this stuff. Especially I appreciate Mentadent when I am traveling and am forced to carry another brand of toothpaste which comes in a more convenient container suitable for packing. The first thing I do when I get home from a trip is to brush for ten minutes with Mentadent. THAT'S THE GOOD NEWS! Alas, Mentadent comes packaged in a dual-chamber pump which is supposed to be easy to use. At one time this was true but I've noticed over the years that dispensing my favorite toothpaste has become a problem. It does not appear that the mechanism of the pump itself (nor the refills) are at fault; rather the problem seems to be that the two components of the toothpaste (a/k/a the blue stuff and the white stuff) are often of different consistencies. Sometimes......

Quick View: I may be the only person on earth who gets a kick out of trying new and different toothpastes. I have used many and keep on trying more. I want whitening and cavity protection and tartar control and fresh breath. Many can't do all that I want. This one can do some but the fresh breath part? Not so good.

About Mentadent Advanced Whitening Fluoride Toothpaste w/Baking Soda and Peroxide

This toothpaste comes in a white pump container that sits on the sink - or wherever you keep your toothpaste. I like the idea of a pump toothpaste but it is a space hog and tends to get dropped and moved around. I usually keep tubes of toothpaste in a drawer out of the way but this container is too big for that. So it's a plus and minus. You can buy refills for the container which I didn't even know until I was looking at the manufacturer's info for this review. I don't see much of price break though. At any rate, this toothpaste does a good job cleaning teeth and whitening them somewhat. Peroxide...
