I bought a medela Breast Pump for My daughter who had decided to breast feed. She ws not sure of the "pumping process". As a breasstfeeding educator, I was able to explain the pros and cons to her of "pumping". The electric model vs the manual model. She was thrilled with the electric model as she did not get tired and enabled my son-in-law to feed the baby as well. This breast pump is hihly recommended by all member s of my family.
...

I used this pump with each of my three kids. I knew I wanted to breastfeed my babies, and a friend told me that this pump was the best out there. It was. I had tried something cheaper at the beginning with my first baby, but it was painfull and didn't allow me to get much. This pump allowed me to go back to work and completely supply my babies with breastmilk while at daycare. The bag is discreet enough that no one knows what you are carrying around - unless they are another mother that used the same pump as well - which has happened! Same pump lasted me through 3 babies, pumping 2 times a day (5 days a week) until they were about 8 months old and then down to once a day for a couple months. Replacement parts are readily available and the thing just keeps on working!!!!
...

I had planned to get the freestyle pump but ended up with this one as a gift. It works well and is user friendly but not hands free. I would have preferred to have my hands free while pumping especially since I spent so much time pumping. I felt like I was constantly attached to this thing. I would have paid the extra money for the convenience of the freestyle.
...

I was searching for a breastpump that would help me continue breastfeeding with my busy lifestyle. I found this on the Medela site. It had great reviews and seemed to be my best choice. It had quite a high price tag though. But I figured that it would be worth it! It has com in handy so many times. My daughter has days where she sleeps a lot more than normal, so my breasts become painfully engorged! This pump works wonders in that situation! I usually get between 3-5 ounces per side within 10 minutes! Awesome in my opinion! I have never been more pleased with a breastpump. I have tried two types of pumps before I purchased this one. I used an avent manual single pump and the Medela harmony single manual pump. They both worked OK but were a little painful and definitely not as fast as this pump! I truly recomend this pump to any mom wanting to go back to work or just wanting this pump so they can carry it with them when theyre going out of town or leaving baby overnight with someone else...
...

The Medela pump was the only type offered through my insurance. I opted for pumping exclusively because I had my son 3 weeks early and there were latching difficulties. The Medela pump was incredibly easy to put together and I didn't even need to read the instructions. Using the pump was incredibly effective because expression of milk was instantaneous. I had no pain whatsoever. Initially the breast shields/cones felt too small and I had no clue that other sizes were offered until I went to Toys R Us and saw that there are a wide variety of supplies for Medela. They offer anything and everything you could think of. The coolest think about the pump is that it came with a bag that stores each part along with a separate storage area for expressed milk. Three ice packs were included as well! The Medela had the easiest, quickest assembly and I cannot imagine a model being any simpler to use.
...

This is a wonderful pump. I am used this pump for my 1st child and now using the same for my second one. It's really nice and easy to clean, Works like baby sucks faster first & slow down ones milk start to come. I love this product. I am able to pump every 4 hours as my second child born pre-due & he was not able to latch on so this pump help me a lot. I am having very great experience with this pump and as its dual breast pump so it saves my time.It also help me to increase the milk production. Before thip pump I tried the hand pump but that didn't work well and took long time, wastage of money.

The pump was very easy to assemble.Because of travel case can able to use it on the go. I am so happy that I made perfect choice for me and my baby as breastmilk is the best for babies, no one formula can take the place of breast milk. And you can still save money compair to formula

So I will definatly recommend this pump to my friends and relative.
...

I was working when I had my first 2 children and I used the Medela Pump In Style at work in a special room designated for mothers who needed to pump breast milk. The pump was easy to use and very efficient, which was good since I didn't have too much time during my breaks. The cooler bag was effective at storing the milk until I got home. I also used this pump at home to store up an extra supply of milk in case I needed to leave and my husband needed to feed the baby. I never had any problems with the pump and never needed to order new parts. The pump is expensive, but very good quality and very useful. I used mine a lot while working and used it occassionally with my subsequent babies while I was staying at home. I'm expecting my sixth child and I'm glad I have such a reliable pump. For me the pump has been worth the money. If the expense is an issue, you could probably search for a used pump and buy new pump parts because it's such a well made pump.
...

I am currently nursing my second child. I struggled the entire time feeding my first child and tried several pumps to try to get my milk supply to increase. Every pump I tried did not seem to do much. I tried electric and hand pumps, all of which were under $100. Eventually, even with nursing and using the pumps, my supply dried up. I decided then and there that it was worth the investment to get a better pump. I had already wasted as much on cheaper pumps as I could have spent on a better quality pump. I had several friends who had great success using medela pumps. They cost quite a bit more than other brands, but I was willing to save the money to get one. Medela makes brands ranging from about $40 (a hand pump) to hospital quality, so I decided to get one in the middle. It is the best investment I ever made! I am having much better success with my second child and I would definitely credit the pump for increasing my milk supply. It is easy to use and convenient and discreet to take with...
...

I had a love/hate relationship with my Medela Pump In Style double breast pump. It was a GREAT pump. It was easy to use and worked well. The love came from the quality of the product. It is easy to put together and take apart. It is easy to clean, which is important because it has to be cleaned often. It has several settings so that you can have it on low or high, depending on your need. It has easy to replace parts once they have worn out (although I have not had to replace many parts). It is extremely durable. I was a working mother so I used it multiple times a day. I had no problems. I also like that it is a double pump. It makes the amount of time pumping so much less. That hate part of the relationship just came from the amount of time I spent pumping. It had nothing to do with the pump itself. It truly is a great product and I would definitely recommend it to any nursing mother. Especially nursing, working mothers.
...

This pump is great if you're planning to pump as part of your breastfeeding routine.

Pros: Everything comes in one bag and it is discreet and stylish. The pump can be plugged into the wall and then you can use one or both of the tubes to connect to the pumps/bottles and go from there. It has a massaging sort of feature at first then goes into regular pump mode. It also has different strengths depending on how your body responds to the pump.

Cons: It is heavy. It is expensive but worth it if you're planning on breast feeding for awhile. Some women pay a lot for an excellent breast pump and discover that their bodies do not respond well to pumps and so are not able to continue pumping. It also has no battery backup, at least that I could find on mine. Replacement parts are also difficult to find. The one thing that really bothered me was that it is not hands free, which I thought it was (turns out, it is another kind of medela pump that is hands free). You have to hold...
...

I first used the medela pump and style with my first child and initially thought it was terrible. I had a difficult time breastfeeding her and the pumping wasn't going any better. I would turn up the pump to the hardest suction and the highest compression possible! The hospital offered a lactation consultant but they don't tell you how to properly use a pump! I ended up quitting after two months. Fast forward to two years later and now i have twin boys. I wanted to give breastfeeding...and pumping...another try. This time the boys were not only nursing better, I learned how to use the pump. I started out on the lightest settings for suction and compression and found that a lighter compression actually works way better for me than putting it on full blast. Had I of known this when I had my daughter it would have saved me a lot of frustration and pain! I think this is a terrific product, just wish their were more detailed inscrutions for first time mothers!
...

Medela Pump In Style is a great tool for breast feeding mothers! The product is portable, quick, and efficient! It makes pumping a manageable task for a working mother or any mother who wants the freedom to express breast milk. The pump has a battery pack for pumping on the go, it has a great shoulder strap bag for carrying, and it is a reliable machine. There are many options for accessories, such as microwaveable sanitizing cleaners for the parts and I believe that there is an accessory to plug the machine into your car!

I'm currently a working mother who is breast feeding my second child. I use the pump twice per day and it still works like new. While it is costlier than manual pumps, it is well worth the money, especially for those who continue to breast feed for an extended period of time. This pump allowed me to breast feed my first child for his first year and I'm on month seven for my second child.
...

I don't know how I ever had babies without this pump! I just had my fifth son and am using this pump! I produce a TON of milk and with my first son, I was given a pump to help ease the engorgement when my milk came in and then I would pump periodically if I needed to leave him with a sitter. After about 2 months I had to buy a new one. When he was 20 months old, I had another boy. I figured, "No biggie, I already have a bump" A double breaster even! Not so fast-it didn't work! So my husband had to go get another one for me. That lasted about two weeks! I hardley even used it! So we took it back and replaced it, it had so many little parts and I mean little like clear rubber that was as small as a pencil eraser, very easy to lose. With my third son, I just had a Medela hand pump, perfect for the frequency that I needed it, since I was a homemaker/SAHM. With my fourth son though, I was working full time and I really needed the freedom to pump and work. I did some...
...

I knew long before I was pregnant that I wanted to try breastfeeding. The main reason being that breast milk is free! I also knew it was the best for my baby. I wanted to pump my milk so that my husband could help me feed my baby.

I looked and did a lot of research on what kind of pump to get. I finally decided on this one.

I recieved this pump from a friend and I am very pleased! The pump works great. It is very easy to use and easy to clean. Breast feeding really hurt my nipples but the pump was very comfortable. The bag makes it very portable and it does not even look like you are carrying a breast pump.I would definetly recommend this pump for someone who plans of pumping on a regular basis.

I ordered new tubes, breast shield and other miscelanous parts for this product. You can easily buy most replacement parts from stores that sell baby items of directly from Medela. I ordered them directly from Medela. It was very easy to order and shipping was quick and ereasonable priced.
