The medela breastpump is the best thing we bought after we had our little girl. I only breastfed my baby for the first two weeks and after that i just pumped for her for a whole year. I took it with me to work, used it in the car....pretty much anywhere we went and i knew that we would be gone for a while so that i would have to release breastmilk i would take it and just pump on the way or at different places. We even went on a trip overseas on a ten hour flight. It was not the greatest location but it worked. I was very happy that we bought it and that i was able to use it for a year. It is probably one of the more expensive breast pumps but it is worth the money especially if you want to have more children like we do. I won't even drive myself crazy about the breastfeeding part next time. I will just start using the breast pump from the beginning. The shoulder bad gives it a very good look also.

I have mixed feelings about this pump. My son was born 8 weeks early and didn't transition to full-time breastfeeding until he was about 3 months old. Because of this, I had to pump and bottle-feed him for the first 3 months. This pump wasn't reliable or powerful enough to use 7-8 times a day. I ended up renting a Medela Lactina from the hospital. Now that he is breastfeeding, I only have to pump once or twice a day, or whenever we are apart. The Medela PIS performs well for this kind of occasional use. I notice a huge difference between the Lactina and PIS, though. Namely, in the type of suction. The PIS has a nice "let-down" feature but the suction is a little tight. I don't know how to describe it, but the Lactina is much smoother and your nipples don't feel "pinched." I guess you could say the Lactina is just a more comfortable pump. If you need to pump full time, you should definitely rent a hospital-grade pump. If you need to pump only a few times a day, the PIS will do a good job....

I absolutely love this breast pump. It is fast, easy to use and I can get replacement parts very easily when I need them. I even bought the car adapter for traveling and have loved having that convenience. This pump allows me to have my husband get up with baby atnight when I need to sleep and I can leave baby with my mom if I have an appointment. Before I got this, I couldn't go anywhere without baby, but now, I can go anywhere and not expose him to germs at my doctors office, etc. I really enjoy knowing that I can breastfeed, but still have help with babysitting if I need it. This came especially in handy when my husband went to the hospital emergency room very sick and I was still able to go be with him a little and keep baby away from whatever may be lurking in the ER...safe at my mom's house. I would recommend this to any mom. You never know when something may come up and you need to be able to have the flexibility to have some milk stored just in case you absolutely...

After taking a breast feeding class just weeks before delivering my son, I knew I was pro-breastfeeding. The class teacher showed us different models for breast pumps but stronly encouraged breast feeding the ol' natural way. While I understood this to be the best option for my baby, I knew that in about three monts I would be venturing back to work and I wanted to breast feed my child for much longer than that. The only other option was to purchase a breast pump.

The Medela Pump In Style Shoulder Bag was the best option for me. The black bag it comes in was perfect for walking into the office without having to announce "Hey everyone I'm back and this is my breast pump!" It was very inconspicuous. The directions were simple and I was able to use it with ease at home and at work. I recieved the Medela Double Electric Breast Pump when I had my son and I loved it! It was lightweight and everything fit in its own bag so it was very very very very easy to use and carry around with me to work and school and friends houses if needed and to families houses. I had a car adaptor so it would work in my car, all I had to do was hook it up to the power outlet in my car and it would work! I got another one this year when I had my daughter and am just as happy with it as well! It comes with two size shields, four bottles to store my milk, Ice packs to keep my milk cold if I am out and about, extra replacement parts and a manual pump incase you do not have an electric source. This pump is great for moms on the go, it is quiet so people around you do not know what you are doing. It has several different speed ranges and several different suction variations so to mimic your baby's natural sucking rhythm.

I absolutely love the Medela Breast Pumps. I have used three of them to help with my two kids. I used the hospital-graded pump when my daugther was born and she was a preemie. She was in the hospital for two weeks after birth and before she could go home. Pumping helped me to increase my milk supply and stocked up my freezer. Did the same thing when my son was born. I have used the Original Medela Breast pump Metro Bag, Pump in Style Advanced Medela Breast pump Shoulder Bag and the Symphony Hospital-grade Medela Breast pump. I would give each breast pump High 5's. Would give them more if there was even more choices. I recommend this breast pump to every mother that wants to breast feed or at least provide breast milk for their baby. Hands down this is the only machine that will help and I have realized that this is why I was able to breast feed my kids for as long as I did/can. My daughter was over 8 months and my son is 7 months and counting..

The Medela Advanced Pump in Style breast pump is a great product. It is easy to assemble and use. It has a nice carrying case that has extra room for bottles and an ice pack. I took this thing everywhere with me. I never left home with out it so that I could pump wherever, whenever. It has an adapter that can be purchased separately so that you can even pup in your car. It may be weird to some to pump in your car, but if you are a dedicated breastfeeder, you will find that no where is off limits. This pump made breastfeeding so much easier. When I was in a place I felt uncomfortable feeding my baby, or where my baby could not go, I could go somewhere and pump instead. The Medela Advanced Pump in Style breast pump made being a nursing mother a joy. I knew that no matter where I was, my baby was receiving the very best food to keep him healthy. Medela has made a wonderful product in thier breast pump. It is well made and comes in a case. the case is a black case that looks like a briefcase. if fact i carried it to work with me along with my regular work briefcase. the pump case had a right right sized compartment that came equpped with ice packs. this was so the milk that was expressed could then be placed in teh bag and kept cold until i would arrive home. my trip was fourty five minutes and it was conistently still cold at the end of that time. it took some time to get comfortabel with the feeling of using a pump. it was the thoughts of feeding my child that helped me get over the unnatural feeling. it does not really feel like breastfeeding. often i had to use a picutre of my child smiling up at me or take along several baby magazine to help with the let down of milk so the pump could be effective. the one thing i would change would be the sound of the pump. the sound was much too loud.

I bought the medala pump in style breastpump 4.5 years ago when my daughter was born. I was a full time working mom and was forced to return to work after 8 weeks of maternity leave. The pump was a life saver. It is comfortable and gives you the option of different speed and pressure.

It is easy to use and since it comes is a shoulder bag no one knows what you are carrying in to work.

I am now breast feeding my second child and 3,5 years later the pump is still working great. It is easy to use and the little build-in isolation container will keep the milk cold until I am home. This is a great accomplishment since I kife in Floirda and it is about 95 degrees right now. Again no one realizes I am walking around with a breast milk pump. At least one person every day asks the same question when I walk to the pump room. Are you going home already?

The small bottles that fit on the breastshield are a great size. You can buy the nipples to fit the bottle.

the medela in style breast pump advanced shoulder bag is one of the best breast pumps to use. this product is very easy to use and portable. i bring it to work with me and pump on my breaks. there is a seperate bag to store my pumped milk. there are many compartments to store my items in. the bag that contains the breast pump is very stylish and sleek. the pump itself and bag are very easy to clean. there is a hadny pamphlet that shows how to clean the brest pump and accesories as well as gives helpful hints on how to maintain your milk supply as well how to increase your milk supply. the pump itself is one of the quiter ones.by using the pump at work it allows me to furnish the milk that my baby needs and allows me to contiue breast feeding my baby while at home. i love the closeness that breastfeeding gives me. i would recommend this product to anyone that is interested in continueing to brestfeed after returning to work.
