Tiffinstein says "The Maytag Quiet Series 200 isn't very quiet!" about Maytag Quiet Series 200

I have owned the Maytag Quiet Series 200 dishwasher for about two years now. I bought it because it was high efficiency, it had a basket in the top rack for small things, it had a delay start and a sanitise mode but most importantly it was supposed to be QUIET! Well guess what. My dishwasher is not quiet however. As a mater of fact my dishwasher is very loud! I just think that its kind of ironic, i mean its called the Quiet Series!

It does clean well. I do llike all of the features that it has but I just wish i didn't feel ike I was going through a car wash every time I wash my dishes! Maybe its just my dishwasher I don't know but I bought it brand new so you would figure that it should work properly right. Or maybe thats just to much to ask these days.

Another thing that I am not so sure about is the sanitise mode. Its great but you can only put certain things in it. I know that I cant put my daughters sippy cups in there when its on sanitise and those are probably...
...

My Maytag Quiet series 200 dishwasher does clean the dishes but sounds like

a threshing machine! Trust me if I run it before bed I can hear it 70' down the hall with the door shut! Thank goodness we got this for free when we purchased the refrig and Stove from Maytag. If I was in the store and heard a saleman try to sell this as a quiet dishwasher to someone I would probably have a fit of hysterics!
...

richgfwu says "The Maytag Quiet Series 200 a great dishwasher for the price you" about Maytag Quiet Series 200

My wife and I have lived in our house for the past five years. For the first four years we were living without a dishwasher and simply washing dishes by hand. As most people can attest, this became a very tasking chore. We had always been talking about getting a dishwasher, but never really felt it was something we needed. Push came to shove when we suddenly realized that we had developed the horrible habit of letting dishes pile up in the sink for days a time. This was the final straw!
We looked into a number of dishwashers, mostly with help from the most recent Consumer Report about dishwashers. We knew that we needed something that would fit into our budget. I'm the type of person that would find a way to justify needing the most fancy, shmancy, thing out there. Fortunately, my wife is always able to put things into a more practical perspective. We finally decided on the Maytag Quiet Series 200. It had some really good reviews in Consumer Report and it was also not a huge hit...
...
