Bought a french door, bottom freezer Maytag fridge two years ago. Spent $2500 to make sure we were getting top of the line. We were big believers in Maytag products since having bought washer and dryer 15 years ago and still running. The fridge is horrible. The icemaker has already broken, the freezer is not keeping temperature, and the panel is blinking. After reading other reviews it seems that this is common with this fridge. I will be paying the repairman but I am sad to say that Maytag is not the same as the Maytag of yesteryear. I recently replaced kitchen appliances with GE!

Maytag French door with freezer on bottom was delivered on Friday, on Monday, I couldn't see what was in the freezer, I had to scrape off all the snow/frost/moisture droplets. There were icicles on the side of the freezer trays. I called Maytag. Totally worthless service. Would take a WEEK to get someone to look at it, I asked for replacement and was denied. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was denied. Thank Goodness I paid with credit card and can dispute the charges. Maybe I'll get some assistance through the credit card. I really gave this 0 stars, but I couldn't put 0, so I put 1 star. Now that I opened the freezer, I hate the deep drawer with everything piled on top of everything, You have to take one item out, brush the frost off, see what it is, put it aside, pick up next item, brush frost off, put it aside, pick up next item, bush off frost to see what it is, put it aside, until you find the item you are looking for, only to discover the item you are looking for isn't there,...

My Maytag fridge/freezer is handy, and has lots of space. It has 3 drawers in which I keep my fresh vegatables, fruit, and lunch meats, and cheese, etc.

In the door is also more space for milk, condiments, butter, more condiments, etc. Did I mention: both doors.

It has an ice maker, and fresh water, the filter only needs to be changed about every 6 to 8 months, and is simple to change.

It also features door alarm, vacation mode, door lock for little two legged animals in the night.

Digital programming for your tempatures, inside and out. Meaning there are individual tempature settings for each drawer, and overall space.

The freezer looks small from outside, but once opened, has a large capacity for frozen goods, with two sliding baskets for smaller stuff. It is also connected to the door alarm, in case it gets left ajar the alarm will go off to let you know that it is open.

I bought it at the Maytag Store, in conjunction with three other appliances, when I remodled my kitchen. The...

Icemaker continously brakes down, refrigerator fan burnt out a few months after the one warranty was up. We are not happy with this product and would not recommend it to anyone. Reliability is very very very poor. It 's wonderful to look at but like most North American products, they break down quickly and often... For the cost of this product, there is much better brand names out there. Do not be deceived by looks as we were and the salesman recommendations of how wonderful this product is. The Maytag repair man would be bored with this one!!!!!!
