I'm a bit of a product junkie. I love anything new and when Maybelline launched Pure Makeup Foundation I was all over it. The product promised oil-free and pure water. That's a plus. It also promised Shine-Free coverage. In California's 112 degree summers, that's a must! I would be lying if I said the last part was true. Shine breaks through in 112 degree weather no matter what. However, I do love this shine. It looks compleatly natural and the coverage is amazing. I have many scars on my face but as long as I'm wearing this foundation my skin looks flawless and you can't even tell i'm wearing it! There is nothing better than barely there foundation that you can't feel, yet looks flawless. As a product junkie I've tried it all from MAC to Bare Essentuals to CoverGirl to Rimmel London and I always come back to my loyal Maybelline Pure Makeup Medium 3. That's the other great thing about this line and all the other Maybelline lines, you don't have to bother with the colors name. No one is...

Finally a drug store foundation that didn't make my face greasy! The coverage is smooth and gives a natural look, perfect for the humid summer weather! The only thing I didn't like about this makeup was that it only lasted a few hours. But for the price, which I believe I paid less than $5 with a coupon at CVS, this was a really good product. Most drug store foundations I've tried always battle with my oily prone skin, but this one put up a good fight!

maybelline pure makeup is great!it is very light feeling,i wouldnt say it had very good coverage though,i would put a powder over it for more coverage if needed.It actually feels good when you put it on too....

I loved the scent, shade, and feel of this product when it was applied---it felt moist and cool. But when it dried, it left the most awful chalky look--similar to wet to dry foundation. It wasn't very expensive, as I had a coupon at the time, but it did not work for me at all.

I love sheer foundations. Having used mineral powder foundations for the past few years, I have become bored with it. I decided to try the Maybelline Pure Makeup. So far, so good.

I chose the light #1 shade and it blends well with my skin color. It looks natural, seems to last well and because it is oil-free, it doesn't cause breakouts. Although, the makeup is made up of 50% water, it mixes with my skin's natural oils and doesn't just slide off my face.

The makeup comes in a 1.5 ounce tube with a screw-off cap. I am able to squeeze out the tiniest bit or a lot with ease. Since I only dispense the needed amount, it is hygienic to use.

The makeup is cheap! I bought it [regular price] at Target for $4.99.

Bottom Line:

This has been a good winter foundation. Time will tell how it performs in the heat of the summer.

I can't say I totally dislike it, Maybelline's Pure makeup, goes on real smooth and is easy to blend, but it wears off as the day goes. I have acne scars and by late afternoon, I found that my foundation had worn off and I could see my scars again. I recommend this if you have skin with no scars. Its good for uneven skin tone....

Love it, Love it, LOVE IT!! Maybelline Pure Makeup Shine-Free Foundation with H20 is fabulous! I have cosmogenic acne, which is a fancy way of saying most foundations and makeup products cause break outs. I had tried everything--oil free foundation, mineral powders--and they all caused breakouts to some degree. I picked Maybelline Pure Makeup Shine-Free Foundation with H20 on a whim because the price tag was $5.00 and I had a 50% Maybeline coupon. I have never been so pleasantly surprised. No breakouts in the month that I have used it on a daily basis.

The formula is light, non-greasy, but still provides natural coverage. The coverage is buildable, so you can use more in problem spots (like under the eyes) and still have one uniform finish all over your face. I'm mixed race (skin-tone something like Salma Hayek), with lots of yellow undertones, so most drugstore foundations are to pinkish for me. Although it's not a perfect match like Prescriptives "yellow-orange" tones, it comes pretty......

I love the feel and the initial look of pure make-up shine free foundation, but it just doesn't last very long. I'm a busy woman, and I've found that after a few hours the foundation starts to look a little tired.

I still use it when I'm not all that interested in looking my absolute best. LOL That's mostly because it feels terrific on the skin compared to most liquid foundations.

I gave Maybelline's Pure Makeup Shine-Free Foundation three starts. The problem I had with it was it came on too powdery and dry. I want my foundations to moisturize as well as give me good coverage. I do have the concealer, and it works wonderful. The foundation however, was not great for my skin type. Which is rather dry already....it left that dry makeup film over my skin....

Maybelline Pure Makeup is my favorite foundation. When you put it on it just looks so fresh on your skin. Stays on pretty long almost all day. Works well with hot and humid weather doesn't melt. Does not clog your pores. Works well with people that have dry skin. Also covers pimples well. Has an all natural look, doesn't look like you have a mask on when you wear it.Oh yea and it also has a matte finish, it ,looks fantastic. I Love this product and would recommend it to every-girl!...

This foundation is best for clear and healthy skin. I would not recommend it for anyone with oily or blemished skin that needs a little or a lot more help. On my better skin days, I'll switch to my Pure Maybelline - but on days when I'm feeling "ick" I pack it on with some REAL liquid foundation.

It doesn't have extreme coverage or last for very long but
It DOES feel nice and evens out skin tone.

I am a photographer so I constantly have lenses and other things touching my face. I have to carry a rag around to clean things off after using them, but not anymore. Every since I started using Maybelline pure foundation I have had no problems in keeping things clean! My makeup stays put and leaves me clean and fresh looking all day long!...

Maybelline Pure Makeup Shine-Free Foundation is the best light coverage foundation I have ever used! I am impressed how smoothly and evenly it goes on, and all without added oil that foundations usually contain. It has a great softness to it without any caking or heavy build up. It is the closest to natural skin tones, again without that heavy makeup feel. The price is quite reasonable, and it is highly available in most major retail stores. I love it!
