Well, I'll have to say when I put it on, I was impressed. It seemed to cover very well!! I kinda looked flawless and that's amazing in my book. HOWEVER, throughout the day I would turn my head to the side and kind of get a whiff of something gross. I thought it was my breath (wow) and then my arm pits and then maybe even my nose! Well, I let it go, but then I smelled it again everytime I used this makeup! It didn't smell in the container, it just smelled on my face! It smelled like someone that hadn't bathed in a while. No one else could smell it (believe me, I asked), but I could. So, it was cheap and made me look a little prettier, but I couldn't get over the smell....anyone else have this problem??! please say yes....
...

I got Bare Minerals for Christmas one year and fell in love with mineral make up. Once my bare minerals ran out i was hooked on mineral but didn't want to fork out the money for bare minerals. I did many reviews and settled on this makeup. I have been using this for about 2 years and love it. I have very oily skin and it works better than liquid make up. My face also feels much cleaner with this makeup.
...

Are we not all in the same boat? Well, except the banks and their employees getting HUGE bonuses....

Me and my family? We need to cut corners where we can so that we can afford good food and the other basics.

Sorry Leslie Blodgett, but I cannot pay you $20 or more for my foundation when I can get Maybelline Mineral Power Powder Foundation and Finishing Veil for less than $9 each at Target.

I just cannot justify the expense when I have been using this and the only issues I have had was that I needed to buy a lighter shade for fall/winter from the freebie I got from my dad (he works in general merchandising at a grocery and got the free sample, that is how I tried it out.) and it does not last quite as long as the "bare" brand I usually use.

I have not experienced breakouts of any kind using this Maybelline Mineral Power product and I have fairly dry and sensitive skin.

If you have read any of my other reviews I am pretty loyal to the competing brand I just do not like the $$ right...
...

I discovered Maybelline mineral powder on sale at Walmart one day and decided to try it. My hopes were not high, but I was pleasantly surprised to find it light, not pore clogging, and just the right amount of coverage to play up the face and diminish lines, wrinkles, red spots, and general imperfections. A little goes a long way. You just need to replace the brush from time to time and it comes out slowly in a neat little cylinder that dispenses only a small amount at a time. It offers beautiful, natural looking coverage and is safe for sensitive skin as it is basically not made out of ingredients much different than baby powder, its mineral powder, from the earth, all natural, and great for those who suffer from acne, blackheads, and breakouts. It gives you a nice palatte on which to creatively apply makeup and brings you confidence, a glowing complexion, and no shine. If you aren't born with it, you can absolutely fake it with this product!!!
...

rainalea says "My first Mineral Powder experince...not a favorite for me." about Maybelline Mineral Power Natural Perfecting Powder Foundation

Maybelline Mineral Power Natural Perfecting Powder Foundation was my first (any only) experiance with a mineral powder makeup. I was skeptical about the coverage. That said, I was pleasantly surpised at the coverage. However, it is not a product I will purchace again for several reasons.

First, thought the coverage was better than expected, I didn't feel as though it looked natuaral and I do like a nice even tone that I did not get with this product. I may just be a traditional foundation kind of gal!

Second, and my largest complaint. It was messy to apply. The brush was to short . Tapping the product was a pain, I always ended up with too much or to little. I wasted a good deal of product because of the mess. I was not able to use all of the product because it was to much trouble to get it out of the container, onto the brush and then on my face.

Third, I found it difficult to select a shade and felt that the product settled into my skin a bit more than I would have liked.

...

Maybelline's Mineral Powder Foundation has pretty good coverage. With my combination-to-oily skin, I need an oil mattifier or I am blotting my face after a few hours. I occasionally will have a breakout and have noticed that pimples or blemishes are still visable with this foundation so if you have frequent breakouts and want full coverage of blemishes, this foundation might not work well for you. At under $10, it's very affordable. I don't wear makeup every day, but I've only purchased this foundation once so far and it's lasted me for more than 3 months already and I've still got plenty. The little kabuki-style brush that comes with it is okay, but I prefer a full-size brush and purchased one separately to apply this foundation with. If you don't already have a full-size kabuki brush (or want to buy one), you'll probably find the little brush adequate.
...

worknschoolmom23 says "Lightweight coverage" about Maybelline Mineral Power Natural Perfecting Powder Foundation

I don't know if you're like me, but I have the hardest time finding the perfect kind of makeup that gives me lightweight coverage but actually evens out my skin tones. I think I've come pretty close with the maybelline Mineral powder foundation.

Although I have tried maybelline foundations before, I could never get a shade that was close to my skin tone. Granted, the mineral powder I chose is a little darker than my skin, but I took into account the fact that I am currently tanning and choosing a light color would defeat the purpose.

The product is easy to use. Just shake a little bit of the loose powder foundation into the cap. Dip the applicator brush in the foundation, tap the cap to shake off the excess, and apply in a circular motion.

I'm a bargain shopper. My local drug store had a buy one get one free sale on Maybelline cosmetics, plus I had a coupon. I chose the Maybelline finishing veil powder as my free product. It is a good compliment to the mineral...
...

Buying the Maybelline Minerals was my second attempt at mineral foundation. This product was better than the first one I tried. The coverage was much better - my flaws don't show through as much. I also liked the container better than others. You can control how much you put on quite easily. This is a great product for the price.
...

I used to use Bare escentialsbrand- Bare Minerals powder, both the foundation and the Mineral Veil. They are great but expensive. Most all of the other makeup maufacturers have came out with their version, so I tried all the ones that came outat walmart/cvs. While they were all natural/minerals, only one had the crushed glass which matches bare minerals for that flawless coverage. That was Maybelines Mineral Powder, the others were heavy feeling and didn't compare. Maybelines is every bit as good as my bare minerals at aout 1/3 the cost!...

I absolutely love Maybelline Mineral Power Powder Foundation! It's made of 100% natural minerals with no preservatives, fragrance, fillers, or oils which is great and a healthy alternative to other foundations which tend to clog pores. It's very easy to apply and I am by no means great at doing makeup which is why this is great. It does just as it says "natural perfecting". Being a redhead I have tons of freckles and this does a great job at evening out my skin beautifully, giving me a natural look, and it doesn't feel heavy. I do use a concealer under my eyes and on pimples for a little more coverage with the mineral foundation. I feel it helps it stay longer. I usually have to touch up after an 8 hour work day. I don't have a ton of money to spend on makeup and this is a great alternative to those expensive mineral foundations. It's won awards including Oprah Magazine's Spring Makeup O-wards 2008 "Most Comprehensive Mineral Makeup Line" and Self's Healthy Beauty Award 2008 "Best...
...

I was very disappointed! Also, it was very difficult to find out what the ingredients are....
