Mary Kay Ultimate Mascara

Mascara, mascara! I can do with so little make up but I do like mascara and lip gloss.

My lashes:

The great news is that my lashes are REALLY long. The bad news is that the ends are so blond that they are barely visible. A swipe of mascara to color those ends is all I need. I could Tammy Faye Baker lashes in an instant if I went to far with mascara.

The Catch 22 with Mascara:

The catch 22 with mascara is that we want it to stay on all day, not smear and smudge and leave us with raccoon eyes and yet we want it to come off right away and easily when the party's over. We want it all!

I've tried cheaper mascara (Avon) that was dry and clumpy and didn't stay put. I've also tried expensive mascara that stayed on all day but I was in danger of pulling out my eye lashes drying to remove it. Mary Kay Ultimate Mascara is my best mascara solution. I can not live without my Mary Kay ultimate mascara, which currently retails for $15. Yes, I used to be a Mary Kay consultant, but not anymore. It was not for me, luckily I was not one of the ladies that bought $1000's worth of product in the beginning. Now I buy my mascara from a consultant that gives me 40% off or you can find it for a great deal on ebay. Active Mary Kay consultant's are not supposed to sell their products on ebay or any sort of internet outlet, they are supposed to use the website that is purchased by them through the company.

Anyways, more onto the specific mascara review. I agree with the website that it is super-thickening and gives you longer, fuller, voluminous lashes. Also, it uses SmartWiper technology that delivers the exact amount of mascara without clumping. It is currently a black tube, it used to be silver. Furthermore, I use a eyelash curler every now and then before I apply the mascara.

I have had a long, ongoing struggle to find a decent mascara for my eyes. My eyes seem to be pretty sensitive, and cheap mascara always flakes off and gets in my eyes anyway. Mary Kay Ultimate Mascara has been a god-send! This mascara both thickens and lengthens my sometimes puny looking lashes. It also keeps my lashes soft and manageable, rather than brittle and coarse! With cheaper mascaras, it seems like my eyelashes will break off if I wear them all day, but not Mary Kay's Ultimate Mascara! It keeps them going strong! I could NOT ask for more!! I love this fairly new mascara- I know it sounds expensive at $15, but it lasts forever and really makes a big difference in your appearance with very little effort. All you need is a little lip gloss and this- and you are set!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have tried every mascara known to man espically hypoalergenic ones due to my sensitive skin and eyes. Mary Kay is the ONLY mascara I can use.

I have never had good luck with mascara. (It may have a lot to do with me having dry eyes and rubbing them...) I haven't had nay trouble with this mascara coming off when rubbed. That is also the down side - it is difficult to remove at night....

I love Mary Kays mascara. It is the best Mascara I have used. But when it starts to get old you will know it because it get very clumpy. Besides that I love it....

I love Mary Kay, but the Ultimate Mascara, I confess, seems no different to me than any other mascara, and is hardly worth the $15 price tag. It seems to dry up rather quickly in the bottle and weighs my lashes down a bit whenever I wear it. I really recommend sticking to the basics on this one, or at least opting for something cheaper...spend the money where you really need it....

I've used Max Factor for years due to its lash lengthening and various colors. I started Using Mary Kay black/brown over a month ago and I do like it. It lasts a long time which I need (I don't use the water proof version either). My only issue with this brand is when I pull the wand out, there is a lot of mascara on one end and I have to reinsert to get it off so it doesn't end up all over my lashes.

Wish there were more variety of colors - auburn for those with lighter skin!

I had never found a mascara that didn't smudge under my eyes until now. I was amazed... this mascara stays where you put it all day, even in the hot, humid midwestern summer. No more raccoon eyes! This stuff gives my lashes the right amount of oomph without looking overdone and tacky. It lengthens and thickens lashes without clumping or flaking. I personally have no trouble removing it with foaming facial cleanser and water, and my dimestore eye makeup remover works just fine on it as well. The $15 price tag is definitely justified, in my opinion!...
