AngelaWLaFon says "Mary Kay Satin Smoothie Hand Scrub: Satin never felt so good." about Mary Kay Satin Hands Pampering Set

Mary Kay Satin Hands Satin Smoothie Pampering Set

The old Satin Hands set from years ago came in a white tube (remember that one?) and honestly I didn't like it. The scrub felt pasty and sometimes dried out my my hands. I didn't like the smell either. It supposedly had no smell but to me it smelled like cement. Yuck. I moved on.

I found the all new and much improved Satin Hands set by the sink at a friend's house and with her blessings used it. This one I liked a lot. Now I have my own.

The Satin Hands Pampering set comes with three products, the Satin Hands Satin Smoothie Hand Scrub, the Satin Hands Hand Cream and the Mary Kay Emollient Night Cream.

The set comes in peach. It is both peach scented and peach colored. It makes no big difference to me but really I am a lavendar scent fan and peach is not my favorite color. I think we had so much orange in our house in the seventies that I am opposed to any hue in the orange family. Either way, the scent is nice and the...
...

I have been using Mary Kay Satin Hands for years! I remember when it originally came out and you actually used sugar mixed with the Mary Kay night cream to exfoliate the skin on your hands! Now, of course, it is a much more advanced system that uses state of the art products to produce that smooth finish and glow. My hands easily and immediately look about 5 years younger. Unfortunately my hands reveal my age worse than my face! The lotion used in the final step is also great by itself. I use it to remoisturize at the office or in the car. I keep it in my purse so it is always ready! Almost immediately my cuticles look better and my fingernails appear more healthy! I have to present reports often at work and it is wonderful to have smoother and younger looking hands to present my ideas. You will not be able to beat the price for this amount of product either! The system also leaves your hands smelling clean and nice without too much perfume which causes me to have headaches....
...

I have been in love with Mary Kay's Satin Hands kit since the first time I used it over 5 years ago. It is a bit pricey, but so worth it. One kit has lasted me for years. Satin Hands takes a little more time and steps than a usual hand lotion, but that's because it's far better than your typical hand lotion. It's great for pampering yourself, friends, family members. I've also used it on my feet - make for a great mani/pedi. The scent is very light and clean - I actually wish it had more of a fragrance. Mary Kay's Satin Lips is also great and a great addition to a Satin Hands kit.
...

savvynlady says "Very good set for one's hands" about Mary Kay Satin Hands Pampering Set

I first heard about the Mary Kay Hand Set when I went to a party and to tell the truth, I ran out and miss it for real; I usually keep some but havent kept them together; While I used the product, my hands thanked me and I loved it completely. I highly recommend it; And in a pinch when the buffing cream is no out, check out Carol's Daughter Manicure in a Jar as a back up to it as well. Not to knock Mary Kay's set. but when worse come to worse, that would do as a great substitute. One thing that is a drawback is if you gotta go this takes a little time; So the best thing to do is to include it in your go to bed ritual and put some gloves on to give it a good effect. That way your hands would be beautiful in the a.m. to maintain as needed. A woman always need a great beauty ritual and this should be included but with some scheduling of course.

Update:6/19/09 I have since bought another set thanks to the reviews I have gotten here and I use them on both my feet as well as my hands and this...
...

The Mary Kay Satin Hands set is amazing! I absolutely believe in this product. I use it three to four times a week and it removes my dead skin like nothing else. I could apply lotion all day long before this product and now I apply it once a day in the morning and don't have to worry about it again. With no dead cells soaking up the moisture, it actually works for me. That's what I love about the scrub. I am not wasting the moisturization on dead cells. Which means I save money. I have also seen what amazing results it has for feet and plan to use it this summer so I don't end up with sandal feet. There is an amazing before and after picture for this product that I have seen and shown to people. You would be surprised what 2 minutes a day three times a week can do for your skin. I never used Mary Kay until recently and have fallen in love with many of their products now. When you experience first had what is available to you the price doesn't matter over the quality. This is an easy three......

I've been using Satin Hands through several different "formulas" now. Originally I had one that was unscented, and had four steps, the greasy night cream, shower gel, scrubby and hand lotion.

Then there was the Terme d Isola scent, which was the same except the shower gel and scrubby were scented.

Now they have removed the shower gel from the package and changed the scent. I have to admit that I prefer the new scent over the terme d isola one, but I do miss my original unscented formulas.

Removing the shower gel has not had any effect on how well it works, I think the scrubby gets me just as clean as the shower gel always did.

The first step of Extra Emollient Night cream always deeply moisturizes my dry, dry bookseller hands (its amazing how dry your hands can get handling books all day!). The scrubby step removes any trace of the greasiness from the first step and sloughs off all the dead skin left behind. Lastly, the hand cream seems to keep the moisture in pretty well,...
...

I believe that the whole Mary Kay line is a horrible joke. I was a consultant for this company, and the first time I used the product, my skin actually got burn marks on it. Mary Kay doesn't care how you sell their product, just that you force it on people. They are not a caring community as advertised. I am very disappointed in the whole thing.
...

When a friend gave me my first Mary Kay Satin Hands manicure kit, she told me to try it before passing any judgement. Boy was she right. The first time I used it I felt the difference. Well, that was 7 years ago and I'm still using it (the product, not that same kit).

I'm getting older and things don't look as perfect as they once did. So when I set the wedding date and hired the photographer, part of me was dreading the close-up photos of the rings and all those people wanting to see the rings - all that attention on the part of my body that is showing my age the most.

So I got serious - might as well - I was working on making everything be as perfect as could be. In the final weeks, I gave myself a manicure with this product twice per week and then the night before the wedding. It paid off. I had the softest, most beautiful hands - and it shows in the photos.

I should say I also use this on my feet in the summer to keep them feeling soft and looking beautiful in sandals. ......

I really like the way it works but just do not like the scent. I have to say the smell fades quickly so I do use it. I prefer products with little or no scent. I like the way all the products come in the neat little bag, no more searching for different things, it's all in one nice package. I am not a big fan of Mary Kay, I think of little old ladies when I see their products, but I got this as a gift and do use it a lot....
