This Magellan GPS is a great product. I've had it now for over 3 years, and it has helped me a lot to get out of a hard spot in traffic and also to find unknown addresses. It is a little off on the exact addresses, but close enough to make it work. I wouldn't go anywhere without it. Plus, it can be transferred to both of our cars. Would highly recommend this item to all who travel and aren't familiar with the area they are in.
...

The Magellan 4250 is the best device I have ever used. I go no were without it. I have used it numerous times and it took me straight to my destination each time. I am very directionally challenged and with the device I can go anywhere with no fear of ever getting lost. It is so easy to use a child could use it. I also like the advantage of finding someplace to eat once I get to my destination. The 4250 has just about everything you need to find a good restaurant or something to do to keep you busy. Thank you who ever invented the piece of wonderful technology.

All you need to do is type in your address to your destination and the voice will tell you exactly how to get there. Once in awhile it will get a little confused but it will catch up with itself in no time and get you to your destination. Then when you are ready to go home just type in home and it will mao you all the way home. Its that wasy to use I love it.
...

I love this GPS, I had bought it for my husband as a Christmas gift last year, we just left it in the box until I bought a new car this year. We were going on a trip with some friends to West Virginia and I decided to finally use it. I could have kicked myself for not using it sooner. I think I was afraid that I wouldn't know how to use it. It was simple to use, it walks you through exactly step for step, We use it all the time now. I would suggest this product for anyone because you don't have to feel intimidated by this product. We use it for around town, I didn't like driving down town because of the one way streets, now I just use my GPS. What I really like about it is you can use Points of Interests and it will tell you places to stop along your route. It would make a great gift for anyone, just tell them to not be afraid to take it out of the box. The other great thing is it wasn't expensive, I bought mine for just over $100.00 on a shopping network and I was very...
...

I have had three Magellan Maestros of different models. I love this model. This is a larger screen that is easy to see if you need larger viewing. It has multiple settings to choose from. The touch screen is user friendly and takes you from one screen to another without hesitation. It comes with cords for house charging, car charging and one to plug in to a USB. It has a night display that is absolutely wonderful. The voice directions are loud enough to hear easily. I keep the radio down though or probably would not hear it easily. The voice directions have been accurate and warn you when you approach a turn in the map directions you have entered to follow. The Magellan is easy to set for map directions. Icons direct you to settings. The Magellan Maestro has not blinked out or failed in any way. I have not found any errors in the street mapping or Highway mapping yet. I wish Megallan would give free map updates for a year though. I don't like the cost of updating...
...

I am a directionally-challenged individual, unable to determine left from right without some forethought and cannot say with any certainly whether I am facing north or south at any given moment (I blame my mother's insufficient nurturing for this). And maps are so utterly useless to me that I'm quite certain they are intentionally written in a language only understandable by males of our species. It is for this reason that I daily worship the person who invented the GPS, and the Magellan Maestro 4250 has been a purchase I've yet to regret. Using the 4250 is logical and effortless, compared to a few other GPS units that I've sat with for more than a few moments (hours?) trying to decipher how to navigate through menus. It also has some nice features to allow you to 1). find the nearest gas station, restaurant, etc. from a given point 2) avoid toll road, highways, etc. 3) bypass current path 4) mark points. It also allows you to input personal data such as AAA information for immediate...
...

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Magellan - Maestro 4250 GPS Device! My husband bought it for me when I had to go on a business trip to Seattle for a week, and it's been one of the best presents I've ever received. Not only did I not get lost in Seattle, but we've since used it for a cross-country road trip, a trip to California, a trip to Florida, even locally, and it works like a charm every place we go! On a recent business trip I rented a car and was able to go everywhere I wanted to go. It was so nice to be able to get out of the hotel and explore the area without fear of getting lost! My co-worker who was with me had never seen a GPS before and she was simply amazed and how well it worked and how easy it was to use. When we got back to the office, she kept going on and on about how great it was and how she was planning to buy one for herself! And it's true, it really is that easy to use and that accurate. To me, it's like a little bit of insurance that I won't get lost while travelling...
...

The Magellan Maestro 4250 is a very good GPS system. The screen is large and very clear. It is easy to navigate through the menu options and to enter addresses. This GPS gives you multiple options on how you would like to route to your destination i.e. fastest time, shortest distance, least use of freeways, etc. It has a day & night screen that make it easier to see and drive with during that time of day. The system has voice activated controls which was one of the main reasons i chose this particular model. While this is a great feature it does need some refinement. I have to practically scream at the system in order for it to understand what I am saying. Also it gives limited options on what you can speak to it such as you can only tell it to route you home not to a specific location which was a big disappointment to me. I bought this as a refurbished model and it was a great price for a high quality system. The GPS boots up fast and while it calculates routes quickly there is sometimes...
...

I compared the Magellan Maestro 4250 vs. the Garmin Nuvi and I like the Maestro better for a few reasons:
1. Can add location by zip code
2. Gives you options to route by fastest, most use of freeways, least use of freeways, least distance -- great choices
3. Volume menu easier to get to

Overall, a great product
...

I purchased one of these units for my daughter as a Christmas present to elimate her every five minute phone calls when she was traveling in near by larger cities. Now she has the ease of using the points of interest to choose her route to get to where she wants to go with video and voice directions along the way without having to call for directions after missing her turn. Now if she misses a turn the GPS will recalulate her way for her.

I took the unit out of the box on the way home and after plugging it in to the lighter adapter and a few touches of the view screen it was ready to take me where I wanted to go. I typed in the home address using main freeway and highways for my trip home. Already knowing the best route for what I typed in I waited to see if it would tell me each turn I needed to take. It gave me alerts when the Interstates merged along with the lane I needed to be in. Two miles before each turn I would get the first alert then a few additional alerts as I approached the...
...
