Ok, so I spent forever looking for an umbrella stroller. I asked all my friends, read reviews, shopped around and tried out different strollers with my little guy...I just couldn't decide. I didn't want to spend $150+ for an umbrella stroller, but wanted a quality product. Finally, I decided on the Maclaren, and then they had the recall! Ugh. I did more research, but everything pointed to getting the Maclaren. They were quick to fix the recall, so that wasn't an issue any more. One of my favorite features is that it is lightweight. It is made from a lightweight aluminum alloy, which makes it light and sturdy. The lady in the store mentioned that this allows it to hold up far longer than other strollers, and so far, its true! I also love that it is easy to collapse, and has a smooth ride. It offers the benefits of the Maclaren brand, but at a lower price tag than the Triumph or Quest. Good choice for busy moms!
...

I bought the Maclaren Volo off of craigslist to replace my other umbrella stroller. Let me tell you, this is a great stroller. Good storage room, can hold a kid up to 60lbs, lighweight, easy to open and close...this stroller is no joke.

Compared to other umbrella strollers I've used in the past, this one is by far superior. It's easy to turn, and the brakes work well. I'm able to fit my diaper bag in the storage area no problem, and I do not have a small diaper bag. It has a 5 point harness. My daughter is 20 lbs and the harness is a bit large on her, so this would be better for a bigger child. But she'll grow into it and I still feel she is safe in the stroller.

I love how lightweight this is. The last thing I need is a super heavy stroller. The other strollers I used were heavier but somehow flimsier. Odd, but true.

I would recommend this stroller to anyone. Try to find it used as the quality of this sucker is so good that it doesn't matter that you aren't the...
...

Wow, what a difference it made when I first bought the Maclaren Volo. I had been searching for a lighweight umbrella stroller for awhile after my old stroller got too old to use. I was hesitant to pay so much for "just an umbrella stroller", but when I gave it a test drive, it rode so much smoother than my old Graco umbrella stroller. My wrists were not sore anymore. I could turn corners and maneuver through malls with great ease. I was in stroller heaven. The Maclaren Volo is extremely lightweight made out of alloy aluminum and engineered well. It took me awhile to figure out how to fold it down, but when you do, it is very compact-very good quality for overstuffed trunks and minivans! The Maclaren Volo served me well when I had to travel via airplane and had to take my child on and off through different check points. It also has a generous umbrella which protects against UV rays and the elements. The fabric is actually made of material made to protect against harmful...
...

I LOVE my Maclaren Volo Stroller! Yes, it is pricey for an umbrella stroller but it is such a great investment! I use it all the time. This stroller is high quality and durable and will last a long time. It is so lightweight and easy to use. I got one of these after my baby outgrew his infant car seat and I didn't want to keep using my travel system stroller all the time because it was so big and bulky. I have used this stroller several times while flying and it is so easy to fold up one handed (I did it by myself, while holding a baby in the security line!). Even though it's lightweight, it's durable and held up great during travel. My baby likes to ride in it and it's comfortable for him. The only thing I wish was different was that the sunshade could rotate forward/down instead of just straight above. But I just put a hat on him if I know the sun will be in his eyes and the sunshade is fine for overhead sun. I love having room in my trunk again for groceries and...
...

We had another stroller than was so incredibly heavy (30 pounds almost) with a wide wheel base for about a year before we got fed up and decided to buy a new stroller. We had a few criteria, light, narrow, comfortable, reasonably priced, easy to fold. This stroller meets all of those things, especially the light weight (under 8 pounds). Though around a hundred dollars is a bit steep, one of the biggest perks this has over other lightweight strollers is that it can be used by someone petite like me or someone with long legs like my husband. It also has a basket undernear which a lot of the lightweight umbrella strollers do not. The handles are ergonomic, so you stand up straight, it's easy to manuever one handed, though not fold one handed, and the brake was a little tricky to figure out. our son seems to love riding in it. I wish the snaps were a little bit easier and that it it had a cup holder, but other than that this little lightweight is a heavyweight champion in our house.
...

Nothing beats a walk in the park on a sunny day, but sometimes it's more of a hassle than fun to take a baby or toddler along, too. The best stroller makes or breaks the entire walk. Strollers need to be easy to collapse, push and maneuver, and it should also offer ample storage space for all of baby's belongings.

Finding the best stroller, double stroller or jogging stroller should be fun. That's why parents offer their critical and approving baby stroller reviews here. Whether you're looking for a Graco, Maclaren or Baby Trend stroller, or you're simply curious about buying a double stroller or jogging stroller, you'll find exactly what you need to help you make the best decision for you and your baby.

Once you find your perfect stroller, make sure to help other parents by writing a stroller review.

We've used the McClaren Volo stroller on subways, at airports, at the zoo, in the neighborhood, at Sea World, shopping etc.

When buying this I wanted i) a canopy ii) big enough to last a few years for a tall toddler and preschooler iii) undercarriage storage iv) lightweight v) easily and compactly collapsed. Although the most expensive umbrella stroller at Target, it is the very best value.

It is the most practical stroller we have and we are so glad we got it instead of the cheap alternatives that are a fifth of the price. I can collapse it and open it with one hand and one foot then lift it one-handed. And I'm a weakling with a bad back! I've slung it across one shoulder to carry it up escalators and through subways and wheeled it through New York in winter with the additional padding and cover. It's shady enough for our Texas summers. The shade actually moves all the way to the front (I'm not sure if this is an intended feature or my 3 year old's efforts!) and the stroller is big...
...

Leah1977 says "Nice, but you are purchasing the brand name" about Maclaren Volo Silver - Umbrella Stroller

I purchased the maclaren volo in 2006. It is a nice, light little stroller but, in my opinion, not appreciably different than any other umbrella stroller on the market. It folds and unfolds easily, it is small and light. It is easy to manuver. However I really think the cost is based on the status of the brand more than anything particularly special about the stoller itself. I will say that the handles are higher than most cheap umbrella strollers - which is nice, even for me, and I am small. The stoller tips easily if any weight is placed on the handles anf does not have a tray or cup holder, which I miss when I use it. The sraps are easy to use, my 2 year old can clip them together himself. Overall, I am not dissatified with the purchase I hit a good sale and only paid about $ 50.00 for it. Also because I was willing to spend a little extra to get the brand name. But if I had purchased this for regular price I don't really think it would have been worth it.
...

We purchased a pink Maclaren volo stroller for our baby and have loved it! It is easy to fold up, it is extremely light weight and has a large sun shade. The 5-point harness is easy to use and the mesh seat keeps baby cool. The only negative about the stroller is that the back sits pretty straight and doesn't have a way to recline which isn't good for a smaller baby. But all in all, this is a terrific umbrella stroller....

Six years ago, I became a mother for the first time. I was the first of my friends to have children, and so I didn't really have anyone's knowledge to go off of when it came to picking the right stroller for me and my new family.

At first I went with the traditional Graco travel system (baby seat & stroller combo). Nothing fancy, no bells and whistles, just a plain old stroller with a baby carrier/car seat. It was great for the first few weeks as we left the house very little and if we did, we just took the carrier and left the stroller home. It wasn't until I started walking more on our bumpy slate lined streets in Brooklyn, NY that I noticed my baby girl was bouncing around in her stroller from all the bumps. I immediately told my husband that we needed a stroller with a smoother ride, so off we went to find a new stroller.

I came across a European brand stroller (Bertini) that had 4 wheel steering and real air tires with a shock system to boot. It was amazing, beautiful, no one had anything......

The Maclaren Volo is a fabulous stoller. It is one of the lightest strollers on the market, it folds easily (you may want to practice a few times before you are trying to use it in high pressure situations like getting on a bus with an infant.) It doesn't recline fully but aside from a very young infant this isn't usually an issue. This stroller will definitely keep up with an active life, it doesn't do great on grass or trails but for a quick stroll through the park it is great. What it really does best though is that constant day-to-day stuff, sidewalks, shopping, walking to and from school, walking to the park. It has a great strap that allows you to easily carry it on your shoulder once it is folded, again this is great for use in conjunction with public transportation!...
