I used to own a 2006 Mini Cooper but sold it in December 2007 because it just was not a practical car for a one-car household. Minis don't have much room so if you need to go to the airport with loads of luggage, you're toast! Also, they are not the most comfortable cars. What I miss about my Mini is the handling and the looks, but I'm much happier with my new 2008 Salsa Red Jetta....

I had my heart set on a MINI from the moment I laid eyes on them when they first came out. I usually go practical when I make a big purchase, but I finally decided that my next car would be just for me. I have owned my MINI for a year and a half and have never had a single repair issue. This was an initial concern considering the nearest MINI dealer is about 6 hours away. I love how MINI's are so customizeable. Mine is black with a white roof and white hood stripes, as well as checkered mirror caps. Literally the only one in town like that. I love feeling so unique.

I think the double moon roof is a nice feature; one that many people notice right off when they get inside. Also, the instrument panel looks very "euro" and makes it feel very well designed.

I must say that my main concern was room and lack of storage space. I got pregnant about four months after buying this car, and was worried I'd have to sell it and settle for a mom-mobile. But I can happily say that......

Fast, well built, and heavy (good for handling). Could get better mileage (I get 28.1 on the average - has a calculator built in). Has the best packages - heated seats, auto climate control, auto windshield wipers, back-up alarm. Get high safety ratings consistantly. Definitely would buy another one....

Usually go for top of the line cars, have always had a BMW, SAAB or the like. But decided to try a Mini as I really liked the look of the car. Have been thrilled with the car, it is just so much fun to drive, the stick shift is so easy to use. I have very bad hands, pretty much disabled, but have absolutely no trouble using this car, I prefer it to our larger Lexus SUV. I find that it's just a fun car to drive and like to just take off and take drives in the country, not always knowing where I am going. I would recommend this car without a second thought. Only negative is the service people at Mini, they aren't the best. But, then, where do you get really go service people anymore??????...
