i am a model, so im always attending these "off the wall" parties.everyone has something to say about what you're wearing.appearance is everything. i went and bought this wonderfully, sexy red dress by jessica mcClintock, with the lower back out, sexy gold shoes and accessories. i didnt know what make up to wear. i went to the mall to ask a beauty consultant what to wear. she gave me a magical makeover using the MAC collection. first the made my eyes pop with with a lovely gold shadow, jet black eyeliner and mascara. i asked her, should i do a nude lip. she insisted that i should make my lips pop.i asked" pop"?....she said "yes honey make them pop"...i asked her what would you recommend? im so used to wearing au natural colors. she instantly brought out the MAC PORT RED LIPSTICK FROM THE NAUGHTY NAUTICALS COLLECTION. at first i was hesistant, first she applied a lovely rouge lip liner, then she embraced my lips with this lipstick. i closed my eyes, then looked into the mirror....i was amazed....

Mac came out with the Naughty Nauticals collection and their selection of items are very interesting. One of the most breathtaking in the collection is the Port red lipstick.The lipstick is listed as a frost, however, it is like a brigher red version of Queens Sin Lipstick from the last jewel toned collection, which was a runaway hit with its intense metallic dark red appearance.Port red lipstick is also listed as yellow based red. Although it does have a slighter brigher appearance, I would not say that it is as yellow basesd as I expected it to be. It still can be pushed to the cooler side of red using a cool dark lip liner.Port red is another color that I have been waiting for years for. It is perfect for me. Not overly moisturizing, it still brings out the most beautiful perspective of red in a lipstick. It adds dimension to lips and using just a touch of red gloss in the middle of hte lips-the effect is fantastic. Grab it if you find it for sure!!!

MAC does the best lipsticks on the markeet and they have such an amazing range of reds. This is a classic red that looks just like the red worn by leading ladies in film a half a century ago.

Do apply it properly unless you want it to wear off quickly. First, exfoliate your lips and then dry. Apply the tiniest amount of lip balm and really massage it into the lips.

Then apply the red lipstick directly to the lips from the tube. When done with the first application, take a tissue and press your lips against it to blot. Then dust gently with powder (pressed or loose) and reapply the lipstick over the powder, blotting one more time afterwards. Now you're good to go.

Wear it without lipliner for a younger, fresher red. Lipliner can make it look dated.

Lipstick is an essential part to the completion of a perfect face of makeup. It can be worn at the office or a night out! For any occassion, lipstick is usually appropreitly called for. Mac is THE goddess of lipsticks! They have a very large selection of colors and wears from pinks and browns, to neutrals and reds. If you're looking for a specific color, Mac has it and more!

Once again, with the creation of Naughty Nauticals Collection, they have created the perfect red. It's hard to find an universal shade of red, and this almost hits it 100%. It glides on easily, doesn't smear and only begins to fade over an extended period of time. Taking a sip from a glass no longer leaves such a vibrant lip stain, as Nauticals leaves only a small trace. To top it off, it's elegant and glamorous, taking one back to old Hollywood.

The ONLY negative is the price (which is usually $24-$32, as is with all Mac lipsticks) making it so it's not easy on the pocket of the average woman. However, it will last......

Wow, this year is a banner year for MAC - at least for all of us out here who crave unique color drenched products.

MAC came out with the Naughty Nauticals collection in the last month and their selection of items was very interesting. One of the most breathtaking so far in that collection is PORT RED lipstick.

WHAT IS PORT RED LIKE?

Port Red lipstick is listed as a frost, however, it is like a brighter red version of Queens Sin lipstick from last fall's jewel-toned collection, which was a runaway hit with its intense metallic dark red appearance.

Port Red lipstick is also listed as a yellow based red. Although it does have a slighter brighter appearance, I would not say that it is as yellow based as I expected it to be. It still can be pushed to the cooler side of red using a cool dark lip liner.
