I am in the process of remodeling my small home to sell so I can buy abigger home..and Lowe's had a great sale on cabinets just in time for me! Had what I needed in stock, sales clerks were helpful. highly recommend checking them outwhen you have a job to do around the house!

I like to go to Lowes I know alot of people from going there. Most of the workers are great help but then you get some others that are not very helpful. My only problem is that when you do find a good one they get moved to a different spot in Lowes. My other thing is you gotta know your prices for the items you are going to buy because if you compare prices Home Depot at times are lower.

Lowes is supposed to have Good Customer Service. Well we were in the newer one in East BRunswick, NJ on Route 18. We were looking for wall sconce lamps. I like brighter lights in the room. All of them were saying only 60 watt bulbs. I didn't know why (obviously a higher watt bulb can start a fire) but we wanted to ask, so we looked for the "expert" in teh department that Lowes BRAGS is there to help. Well, let me tell you! He was the rudest most obnoxious person, I have ran into, in one of these stores. He wouldn't even slow down, and he wasn't doing anything at the time, to answer our question. So I followed him and kept talking. He just barked an answer at us, b/c they only take 60 watt bulbs! I said WHY? Are any made for higher wattage? He said NO! I said DO YOU HAVE 1 MINUTE TO DO YOUR JOB AND EXPLAIN?? He said no, and walked away and started telling jokes with his friends and eating a bag of chips! This is something we needed to know, it could have caused a fire. We left the store...

The Lowe's kitchen remodeling department has the most and best choices for kitchen cabinets that I have found. They also are competively priced among all the big box stores. I found a couple places cheaper but you need to check to see if those places have insurance in case they do anything to your home. Also you want to make sure the installers have background checks since they will be in your home quite some time.

Anyway the cabinets that we ordered are wonderful and the installer has the patience of Job. We did not like the color of some of the panels and had to reoder the parts. Lowe's had no trouble reordering the parts and our associate at the store would do anything we asked.

However the one drawback is they do take their time. We started this project in November and it still is not done and it is now April. We kept having delays on the new parts coming and some things turned up that did not look right such as the trim not matching the cabinets.

But overall Lowe's has stood behind...

I had an interesting experience when I decided to remodel my kitchen. It's a small kitchen (only about 10 X 12) so, I thought it wouldn't be a difficult remodel. WRONG! I got an estimate from Home Depot and Lowe's for cabinets, countertops, flooring & appliances. Lowes was much less expensive for more cabinets, and their installation was less, so I went with them for the cabinets, countertops and appliances (stove, built in microwave, dishwasher, garbage disposal and sink). Home Depot had the floor covering I wanted so ordered that from them. First, all of the cabinets weren't delivered in the first shipment, (was missing a cabinet and they sent the wrong size for another cabinet) so I had to wait for a second delivery. Then the installer was too booked up so had to wait until he could install. Installation was the biggest nightmare! It took almost a year to get it completed the way it was supposed to be in the plans. There were 2 glaring problems. The original installation......
