Lipton Onion Soup Mix is just one of those things that I always keep in my kitchen cabinets. It is supposed to be a dry soup mix but, in all honesty, I don't know of anyone who has ever actually used it to make onion soup. You can find it in every grocery store on the planet for less than $2 for two packges.

Everyone seems to have their own special use for Lipton Onion Soup Mix, including onion dip, meatloaf seasoning, hamburger seasoning, potato seasoning, marinades, etc. Personally, I use it for onion dip and mealoaf seasoning.

To me, there is nothing better than the lovely blend of sour cream and salty Lipton Onion Soup Mix. I actually get angry when I go to family and friend's houses and they serve the pre-made and completely white French Onion Dip with green specks scattered throughout. It is nowhere even close to how yummy the traditional onion dip made with this soup mix.

This is one product I always keep in the house. When in need of some extra flavor, you can't go wrong with Lipton. I add it to my hamburgers, pot roasts and a lot of other foods. My favorite thing to do is when I have no time during the week to cook, I throw a roast in the crock pot and then add 2 packages of Lipton onion soup mix. Throw in some carrots and Potato's, cook on low and there I have my supper. It adds so much flavor to all types of foods but I do think this is my families favorite.

I have grown up with Lipton Onion Soup Mix. My mother used it in hamburgers and in meatloaf. I also use it for those recipes along with my pot roast and I've made gravy with it.. Great as a soup base too! I've used it in several other recipes that I thought up along the way but didn't bother to write down, lol my family calls them my 1 hit wonders! (cooked it once then forgot how to make it!)

You can never go wrong having this in your kitchen on hand at all times. There's several varities of this soup mix, my fav's are Beefy Onion and Onion & Mushroom. There are alot of different recipes that are right on the box. Each flavor seems to have some different recipes.

The Lipton soup mixes are SUCH multi-taskers in my kitchen.

On rare occasions I'll actually make a beef and onion consume with it.

I sometimes stuff a packet along with a tupperwear in my husband's lunch bag. It goes well with a roast beef sandwich, which he likes to dip.

More frequently you will find it made into a vegetable dip with sour cream, or as the primary flavoring in meatloaf or meatballs.

I love Lipton Onion Recipe Soup and Dip Mix. I always keep these on hand. I love to make dip using the onion soup mix and a container of light sour cream, great for dipping chips and veggies in! Onion soup mix makes a great base flavor for many different kinds of soups, makes a great flavoring for beef roasts, also great on baked red potatoes, mix a little olive oil, red potatoes and onion soup mix together, bake in the oven, and you have some tastey little potatoes (reipe on the back of the box). I usually buy the bulk packages at costco to save some money and always have a few boxes of Liptioin Onion Soup and Dip mix in my pantry....

To add their soup pkgs to something else when cooking makes for a lot of additional flavoring. I guess I use the onion mix most of all,,stews are always good, a good pot roast comes out perfect, each time. the ease of using the chicken for the broth is good too, to add to all kinds of dishes to cook the same way, including a good rice pilaf base. Keep it up! But, get the low-sodium one, too salty otherwise....

I've found so many uses for Lipton Onion Soup Mix. My favorite though is to add it to my meatloaf. I can just mix it in with all my other ingredients & bake it. Though, I guess I shouldn't say "bake" as I do my meatloafs in a slow cooker. If you have never tried this, try it just once & you won't go back to the oven. I pop mine in the slow cooker & let it cook all day. It comes out so very moist & tasty. After doing this for months, I read where someone had sent it in as a tip to a ladies magazine. Anyway, the Onion Soup mix gives it the light taste of onion & the seasonings are not to much....just the right touch. Alway have a box of the packets in the cupboard & I use one packet in my meatloaf. Comes sealed so it lasts for quite some time on you shelf....

My best friend pointed out the recipe for meatloaf on the back of one of these boxes and my family and I loved it. I recently bought it again and made dip for chips and it was quick, easy and tasted great. I can't wait to try the rest of the recipes on the boxes and switch packets and do it again....

I have been using Lipton Soup mix for years. My favorite thing to make with Lipton Soup mix is beef roast in the crockpot. It takes only seconds to prepare a good hot meal. Just throw in some carrots, potatoes, onions, any cut of beef roast, the Lipton Soup mix and a little water and you're done. Eight hours later you are eating a flavorful, tender meal. I wouldn't make a beef roast without it. One of these days I will get ambitious enough to try some of the recipes on the box....

Can't get more versatile than this product....dips, seasoning, marinade. You can use it for most any savory dish that needs onions. Could stand to be a little less salty, though....
