I bought it because I got a new laptop and needed to have wireless for it at my house. Our internet connection is downstairs in the basement but i still get a good connection to my laptop upstairs. I can even take my laptop outside on the porch or in the back yard and still have good connection. I will always recommend this router to my friends.</p>... We have three pc's and one laptop. It works fine with the pc's but not so well with the laptop. The adapter for the laptop has a hard time gaining acess to the signal. I have a three story house and the main unit is in the basement so this may have something to do with the signal. When the signal does come thru it is always low. I have to repeatedly disconnect and re connect the adapter. I have also had to re-install the software three times now on the laptop. The good thing about the unit is that the main unit  has only had to be reset one time in the year that I have had it. Overall for me the router has performed well for the price I paid for the unit. We are only novices so if you are a pro you may want to go to a higher grade unit. This has been the right unit for us for our uses for this.  </p>... Setting up was a DISASTER.  It is next to impossible unless you know what you are doing.  About an hour into this terrible process I called up the company and they walked me through the entire thing.  Even then it took about 3 hours. They were telling me to click on files and options I would have no idea even existed if it wasn't for them.  Maybe this happens to everyone or perhaps it was just me but as you can tell it was not off to a good start. But seriously after that I have not had one problem.  It always works and I always seem to find a great connection.  Once we had a blackout and it caused a slight problem with the router but their customer service line is great! They are patient, understanding and are willing to help with any problem.  We use both PC and windows in my house and its not a problem with either operating system....</p>... At first I was afraid that it would be difficult to hook up as I do not know how to hook things up to the computer unless they are color coded or the shape shows exactly where it goes, To me this seemed like it might have a little to much involved for me but boy was I wrong I was so easy. I had my Tivo up and running in no time. This is really the thing you want to use if your looking for something easy to hook up.</p>...
