My children got me the Lexmark all in one printer for my birthday and I just love it. It has beautiful printing capabilities, as well as being able to copy things and is also a fax machine so has really come in handy for a lot of things and I really like how easy it is to use and change sizes and features while using the machine. It has a box which pops up to tell you what action is being performed at that time so you know that you have accomplished what you have set out to do so I really like something that simple to use....

When we purchased our first Dell desktop computer, it came with Lexmark printer X1185. This printer worked great for a couple of years and then it was time to buy a new one. I thought that this printer had served us well, so I decided to buy another Lexmark. After studying what printers were available at the time, I choose the X1240. I compared the abilities to our previous printer and thought I was getting something very similar. Unfortunately, it was not the same, not even close.

First of all the new printer could not print pictures at or near a high enough quality to qualify as a photo printer. Second of all - this printer is not Vista compatible. And finally, after the first 3-6 months the biggest problem began. Initially it seemed to be that the ink was low but after purchasing new ink, the problem continued. Items, basic items, would not even print out in black and white, not to mention color. I contacted Lexmark for assistance but was only given the same advice, to clean the ink...

The Lexmark X1240 All In One Printer is affordable, easy to set up, and easy to use. I paid only $25 for this printer and it functions as well as one that costs $100! The set up was an easy install using a cd and a step by step guide. Once it was set up it was easy to access the printer, copier, and scanner.

The printed and copied material comes out as clean as the original. The loading of paper and ink are not complicated. Any commands are also simple to follow.

I would recommend this printer to the everyday computer user!

This printer is the biggest piece of crap I've ever owned. Considered a "photo" printer, it left horrid lines through everything, even on best quality with glossy photo paper. It also only works when it wants to with Windows Vista Operating Systems... The printer CAME WITH a Windows Vista based Laptop computer, but it has never worked properly with Windows Vista, each time completing the install stating "Vista" as the OS, it only wants to work with my two Windows XP computers. Every time I attempt to print from the laptop it came with, it asks me to reinstall the drivers because they can't be located, and then when I do, the printer STILL only works about 1/10 of the time. It's not even worth the effort.

What a crock. Honestly, I purchased this particular laptop because of the printer option, I would have been better off spending the extra money on another printer instead!...

I use this printer almost every day. I am satisfied with the quality of the printing. Although since I have owned it which is three months, there is one complaint I have about it. It has had to be uninstalled a reinstalled three times. Useing the disc that came with it worked for doing this the first time only. After that had to go to the lexmark webite to reinstall it. Why it would not comunicate with my computor I do not know but that is what it said and why I uninstalled and reinstalled it. Aslo I had to unplug the USB and power cord a couple of ttimes to get it to print....

The Lexmark x1240 is a very reliable all in one printer. I use the printer daily and have never had any problems, even after my two year old stuck toys in the paper feed. I would greatly recommend this printer to anyone who wants a reliable all in one printer....

The Lexmark all in one has worked great for us. I use the printer and copier feature a lot. I have never used the fax or scanner feature, yet. Sometimes I have a hard time getting it to respond when I try to copy....

Don't be fooled by the low price. This is one incredibly great all in one printer. It is very quiet, very easy to set up and use and produces outstanding copies. The scanning function is also very easy to use and again produces great looking images. Ink cartridges, black and color are standard and are available every where. This is a definite buy.

I had a Lexmark all-in-one before buying this one. The ink replacements are expense at $50 for black & color packs. It is more cost effective to buy a new printer at $29 if all you what to do is print out homework and grocery store coupons as I do. It is best to print photos at a Kodak picture making machine because you'll have to buy photo quality ink for this printer extra....

I love this printer! It is very easy to use, the ink is very easy to find. The only drawback that I have found is that it doesn't print high quality pictures. The scanner and copier are very easy to use. I love being able to have all these at my finger tips instead of having to run out to get copies made. I would recommend this printer. It is very cheap and works great!...

Ever since we bought this printer, we have had a great experience with it. It is easy to use for scanning, copying and printing. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone. My son bought me this for Christmas last year! I love how you have the ability to copy and scan in addition to printing. Thi allows the opportunity to scan old photos and add them to your computer photo albums for better print quality. Gone are the days that you have to outsource your pictures to design photo gifts! It is however difficult to find ink on the shelf for this product.

I bought this printer last year, I love the fact that it does everything I need it to do. I can put my memory card in the slot and it downloads my pictures to my computer. It did take me awhile to figure it out, thank goodness I have grandchildren lol. I think the hardest thing on it for me was loading the cartridges, but she did it for me and I have learned how to do it myself, I worry more about breaking something when I am doing it myself. Pictures turn out very nice, but as with all printers they use a lot of ink. Cartridges are expensive, but if you shop around you can almost afford one. Another thing, I think they could improve how the paper goes it, sometimes it goes side ways and messes up. I have no problems scanning items, I have a lot of things to scan in our farming business and like to make duplicates of all our bills. Good buy for the money....

I would recommend this printer to anyone who has a small business or at home business as the all-in-one aspect is priceless. I have recommended this product to others who have at home small business, as well as family members and friends. The price was just right, the size of the printer is perfect and serves all my needs both personally and professionally. The only drawback I have found is it has been difficult at times to find the printer cartridges. Overall this is a very nice piece of office equipment and I would recommend it. ...
