http://www.viewpoints.com/LeapFrog-Learning-Hoops-reviews Tue, 06 Oct 2009 05:56:20 GMT Latest reviews about LeapFrog Learning Hoops http://www.viewpoints.com/LeapFrog-Learning-Hoops-review-0b1b2 <p>I purchased my Leap Frog Learning Hoops from a second hand kids store in Missouri.  I had a 9 month old grandson that loved to throw balls so I thought this would be fun for him, little did I know what a great educational tool it would be also.</p> <p>I love the fact that it spells basic words like cat and dog giving you a letter after each basket is made and then cheering for them when they finish spelling the word plus it had the counting option too.</p> <p>Being able to adjust the height on it was great so if they weren't able to walk yet they could sit and play and as they grew it could be adjusted higher to stand up and play.</p> <p>Having the ability to learn how to throw and shoot the ball helps developing the hand eye coordination which is wonderful ++</p> <p>I do wish it included more than 2 basketballs that is unless it did and my second hand unit did come with them all. When dealing with little boys they have a way of losing the little basketballs and when the game is counting you are on a time frame and...</p>... He was about a year and a half at the time, so just on the age of about to move past this stage of toys, but he did love it, and played with it often. The Leapfrog Learning Hoops is one of those great toys that rewards the child with a sound, song or other noise for doing the task correctly, in this case, putting the ball through the hoop. Very cute toy, and almost addictive!</p>... The kids have fun and learn their ABCs and 123s at the same time. Both of my kids really enjoyed playing with this until they were about 15 months. </p><p>The downside, however, is that they both quickly figured out how to make the hoops "talk" and advance without throwing the ball.
