I purchased the LeapFrog Fridge Phonics Magnetic Letter Set when my son was just a toddler. He is now six years old and technically would still be using this toy if we hadn't upgraded to the LeapFrog Fridge Words Magnetic Word Builder. Both my son and my daughter (age four) grew up with the Fridge Phonics Magnetic Letter Set and I attribute much of their knowledge of the alphabet to this product.

The Fridge Phonics Magnetic Letter Set is a must-have for any household with young children and is fast becoming (or may have already become) a classic toy. Just about every parent that I know has one of these and it's a rarity when we visit a house that does not.

Like most moms, much of my day is spent in the kitchen, which is why having this toy on the refrigerator is a perfect spot for both mother and child. I could tend to my kitchen duties while my children played with it.

The LeapFrog Fridge Phonics Magnetic Letter Set truly is a product that will grow along with your child. ...
...

The LeapFrog Fridge Phonics Magnetic Letter Set is an awesome educational tool for parents. This is a fun way for toddler and preschoolers to learn what each letter in the alphabet looks like and sounds like. Also clean up is easy they all just stick back to the refridgerator. The ease of use makes it perfect for even young toddlers the letter are big and easy to grasp and easily slide into the device. Then all the child has to do is push the letter and depending on the setting it sings a song or states how to say the letter. The song are very catchy my daughter learned them very quickly and would sing them often. Up till purchasing this product my daughter struggled learning letter sounds and idenification after purchasing it she very easily began to identify letters and make their sound everywhere. We reinforced this product lots of places we found that the grocery store was an awesome place to reinforce it. I hope any parent who has a child learning to identify letters...
...

This is a favorite toy in my home. I have twins and this is the only toy that they have a difficult time sharing since they both enjoy it so much. My twins are two and they both know the complete alphabet and I believe this toys has helped teach them the alphabet. They also know the sounds of each letter of the alphabet thanks to this awesome toy. I cannot think of anything negative whatsoever about this toy. They pieces have been dropped on our tile floor many times and they have not chipped or broken. I have bought this toy for two different Birthday parties and the parents have told me that their chlidren are enjoying it very much. I like the fact that their are two settings for the volume control. LeapFrog is very good about having volume controls. The magnet idea is great too, because they stick well to the fridge. This toy will hold my childrens interest for quite some time. I feel good about them playing with a toy that teaches them too.
...

You'll be sick of the songs on this Fridge Phonics set but your child will love it and will be learning while they are playing! The set contains each of the 26 letters in the alphabet. When your child places a letter in the base, he/she will hear the name of the letter and the sound (or sounds) the letter makes. There is also a button that sings the whole alphabet. My daughter has had hers for more than 2 years and it still works great (and I haven't had to change the batteries). She loves it and really knows her alphabet, partly because of this toy. Lots of fun!
...

We picked up a LeapFrog fridge phonics second hand last year for our daughter who was 18 months at the time. She played with it a tonne at that time, she was able to get the different letters into the button holder and get it to read out the letter and play music without any problems. She loved listening to it sing the alphabet over and over again. There are two settings for volume, but they are really loud and louder! Especially when they want to push the button again and again so you hear the same part of the song it gets a bit annoying!

She is 2 1/2 now and we've pack it up as she doesn't have a lot of interest in it anymore.

The white background on the background of the letters has discoloured alot from white to yellow, which surprised me. Doesn't effect functionality but looks a bit ugly! One other complaint is that some of the letters and letter sounds are not pronounced clearly enough for a child learning language, if the batteries start to run low at all, then it gets much worse....
...

The Leap Frog Fridge Phonics are great for toddlers and babies that can stand or pull up. My daughers play with them all the time while I cook dinner, do dishes or anything else in the kitchen. Its wonderful for them to be occupied but I am still able to keep a close eye on them. It comes with all twenty six letters of the alphabet that are magnets, and a magnetic piece that "reads" the letters. You put the letters in the reader and it says the name of the letter plus sings a song and tells what sound that letter makes. You can also just use the letters as regular magnets, to spell words on the fridge or just move them around. There is also a button on the reader that sings the alphabet song when its pushed. The magnets stay on the refrigerator really well, we don't have a problem with them falling off or anything. Its a reasonable price, around twenty dollars for something that toddlers really enjoy.
...

Leap Frog Fridge Magnets when a genius invention.

I purchased the set for my grandson almost 5 years ago. I could not believe how quickly he picked up on letters, sounds and spelling. And what a genius idea to make them go on the refrigerator. As a parent/grandparent I spend alot of time in the kitchen cleaning a preparing meals so it gave my grandson a fun and educational toy to play with while still being by me while I was in the kitchen.

The bright primary colors are great and eye catching. Even before he could crawl he would sit by the refrigerator and push on the letters I truly believe this helped him learn his abc's at an early age. The other great thing was we would constantly move the letters to spell his name and spell the names of other things around us what a great learning tool in more ways then one. It would be nice if you could add at least 2 of each letter with the unit since some kids names have more than 1 of the letter in their name.

I know how a nephew who is...
...

I love this Fridge Phonics Magnetic Letter Set! It is so great to have at my house. It is so perfect for my two little ones. I love that it sings the whole abc song and also gives the kids a fun way of learning each individual letter by sight and also includes the sound each letter makes. My daughter who is 2 years old sings the entire alphabet song and has been doing this for a few months now. What is even more exciting is that she is totally starting to really recognize each letter! I didn't even know she knew any of the letters by sight until just the other day when she picked out the "L" and told me what it was and that it was for lion. I was so excited, and asked if she knew what some more letters were and she did. I was so thankful that all the time of playing with these letters had really sunk in! This is a great learning toy. My son who is a 1 year old also loves playing with it. He likes to push the song button and dance to it, and he will also switch the letters out as well. Another...
...

These magnetis Fridge PHonic letters were given to my first child (daughter) when she was almost 2 yrs old. She already had a great interest in learning the letters of the alphabet and so my friend thougt this fun interactive toy would be a great Christmas gift....SHE WAS RIGHT! We still have these letters on the fridge five years later and my two other kids following her love them still! For my 7 yr old, we challenge her to spell short words quick as she can, for the other two younger boys, we practice short words and individual letters while we are just hanging out in the kitchen! They love the game and we love the benefit. The letters have a really strong magnet inside that keep them on the fridge! They letter are bulky, so they are no easily lost (under the fridge for ex) And the kids love to listen to the alphabet being sung to them by the console! I was very pleased with this product and it even has an off button when it is needed. Leap frog has made some other excellent...
...

Over the past few months I noticed every time we went to someone's house for a visit, the first thing my almost three year old daughter did was head straight to the fridge to play with the Leap Frog Fridge Phonics Magnetic Alphabet. During a recent dinner with friends I said I was just going to have to put this on my shopping list because she loved it so much and a few minutes later I was given an Santa wrapped gift! Apparently they got 2 of them for Christmas so just kept it for a special event. They decided my daughter's love of this learning toy was that event!

The Leap Frog Fridge Phonics Magnetic Alphabet is a small magnetic toy into which you place each individual letter of the alphabet. You can either play the Alphabet song and sing along, or place letters in the box and learn the letter, how to say it and the sounds it makes. Each letter is magnetic also and the letters come in an assortment of primary colors.

This is a GREAT toy. My daughter is 23 months and loves playing with this toy. It's great that it's in the kitchen too so I can cook or clean while she plays. She has pulled it off the fridge and banged it a few times and it still works great. I love that she is learning the alphabet so early. She now recognizes letters and points them out to me.

This great LeapFrog Fridge Phonics Magnetic comes with a set of 26 colorful, easy-grip magnetic letters and magnetic letter reader that attaches securely to your fridge. Each letter talks, sings and teaches letter names, letter sounds and learning songs. This fun toy is great for children ages 10 months to 5 years. My daughter loves it. This toy helped her learn the alphabet. This awesome toy keeps her busy for hours. We also use this wonderful learning tool to help learn her colors. It teaches the children the sounds of each letter as well as fun songs. I defiantly recommend it to all my friends who have children of their own. Most of them went out and bought this great learning toy and they love it as well. This toy does not take up to much room on the refrigerator. It also helps teach the children how to keep their toy tidy by having them put all the letters back up on the fridge. Overall i must say this toy is great for all ages.
...

We love Fridge Phonics at my house! It comes with a small letter reader with a speaker, and all 26 letters. Each letter fits into the small space on the letter reader, and it recognizes and identifies the letter. It also says the sound/sounds that the letter makes. A separate button will sing the Alphabet Song, no matter which letter is in the reader.

My son got this for his 2nd birthday, and he loves it! He moves the letters around and identifies the ones he knows. It's even SO much fun to push them off the fridge and on to the ground, and then pick them all back up! He likes to spell his name with the letters.

This toy is sturdy, colorful, and well worth the price. What a big improvement from the red and blue magnetic letters that I had as a child!

My one and only recommendation would be for LeapFrog to add lowercase letters, so this product can grow with children as they get older and are ready both upper and lowercase letters.
...
