The LeapFrog Baby Counting Pal is designed for 3 months to 24 months of age. It is shaped as a caterpillar and has the numbers 1-5 and has picture of animals below the numbers. It has a couple of different activities on the neck that you turn so they can play different things. It can strap to the crib to play or take along to wherever baby goes. It may be able to be strapped to a stroller as well. It is different colors with different sounds. Helps with skills in sight, hearing, touching, and feeling. It would be good for those older children learning to count even though it was designed for 3 to 24 months old. it is a plush with hard inside easy for little hands to pick up. It was designed to help children (babies) learn their numbers at a younger age and helps them with colors and different sounds. My baby loves it and plays with it many times a day. He is only 16 1/2 months old and he loves to tell you the number once he hear them named on this toy.

I have two daughters, they are 22 months and 11 months. They are both equally entertained with the LeapFrog Baby Counting Pal caterpillar. In fact they fight over it most of the time. Having two girls so close together, we have tons of baby toys so when one of them got this as a gift I wasn't over the moon or anything. Until they started playing with! There are four different modes, one for numbers and counting, two different modes that play songs, and one for colors. In each mode, the five different sections of the caterpillars body can be pushed to do different things, like each section plays a different song on the music modes. They are numbered one through five, so on the counting mode they can push the number one and hear it as well. It also has straps on the back where it can be attached to a crib and become a crib toy. Its very coloful and really holds both of my kids attention every time they play with it.

The leap frog baby couting pal was given to us as a gift. It has taught my two year old to count!! She loves it . I like the colorfulness and educationalness of it. I would recommend it to anyone with kids

Who knew when I bought this toy on a whim at a 50% off sale that it would be one of my child's most loved toys? I love when I get a great bargain and she gets more than my money's worth of play out of it.

The catepiller has 3 modes - colors, music and numbers. With each mode, there is usually some sort of rhyming song to teach the child about the color or number (music just plays classical music).

Underneath each number is a small toy that does different things. There is a squeak toy, a bead chaser (sort of - it's flowers), a crinkle toy and a couple of others. The songs are fun to sing and easy to remember so that your child can catch on quickly and sing along.

There are 2 velcro straps on the back so that this may velcro to a crib, stroller, etc. I can say with certainy that this toy will not fit around the tray of a Graco Metro Lite stroller - the tray is probably 2 inches too wide.

There is also a handle so that baby can imaginative play witih the catepillar making it walk or to carry...

The counting caterpiler is great for infants and small children. My nephew loved this toy for the music and other noises it made. he would sing and dance to the caterpiler music. This caterpiler is great to help children count or just talk in general. Also the multiple bright colors is defiantly a attration to children. The caterpiler never gets old either. it is one my nephews favorite toys ever since he was an infant. Ans it is not to annoying or noisy but im not going to say its completly unannoying. I would reommend this toy for mostly infants but also toddler. defiantly a good toy to take in the car. not to big and not to small and isnt very distracting to the driver either. I would also recommend this toy to parents who dont like noise all that much not only because its has good sounds but because you can adjust the sound volumn easily and can turn it down to a whisper. The caterpiler just looks kewl too.

From the time that my daughter got the Leap Frog Baby Counting Pal for Christmas last year when she was five months old, it has been one that she looks for every day. Her grandmother loves it when she brings it to visit and will ask about "the caterpillar" if it's not in her diaper bag. The songs are catchy and fun to sing along with and the different musical styles are wonderful for teaching children about rythym, harmony, melody, etc. It introduces all kinds of different sounds, numbers, colors, textures, and musical styles. We have used this toy multiple times on a daily basis and have only had to replace the batteries once in seven months. My baby has loved exploring and discovering new things with this toy and I can't imagine not having it in our toybox. Everyone in our house has their own favorite song on the toy and debate on which is the best of them. The Baby Counting Pal is another wonderful learning toy made by Leap Frog. It is a bright colored caterpillar that teaches babies about colors and counting through songs and plays classical music as well. I brought my son to Target when he was about 7 months old and he personally picked out this toy. He was very captivated by this toy- from the sweet smiling face of the caterpillar (which always caused him to smile back) to his bright colored body and his cheerful music and classic tunes. Each of the caterpillar's feet are different- one squeaks, one has a bell, another has a rattle, etc so the baby is encouraged to explore and experience new sensations and sounds. My son is 2.5 years old and still plays with this. There are cons however- the button are hard to push, even at 2.5 years old I still have to help him push the buttons on the caterpillar's body to hear the music. I had the leapfrog baby counting pal for both of my kids and they both loved it. It is easy to use and is very entertaining. the music plays for awhile so they dont have to keep pushing buttons when they are little to make it play sounds. i also like it because it can go anywhere and hang on anything like the carsear or the stroller so it is convient also. i would recommended this to everyone who has kids....

The LeapFrog Baby Counting Pal is great. My son played with it daily for months. He noticed the colors designs right away. The he worked his way up tp pushing the buttons and feeling the textures. It's cute and easy to carry along....

As a bright and colorful plush, the Leap Frog Counting Pal introduces little ones to colors, numbers and counting.The Leapfrog Baby Counting Pal is affordable and will do the job when you need something to entertain the little ones.
Every now and then I babysit for my sister and my nephew can spend a good amount of time entertained with this toy. He's only 8 months old but he loves this toy and is perfect to start learning some new things. I totally recommended however the only down side its not very easy to operate alone at an early age. My nephew loves the colors, sounds, and even the rattling making parts on the bottom. Perfect for car rides, keeps him busy. ...

leapfrog baby counting pal is a great tool to teach your child to count at an early age. even if your child is too young to count it is still a good idea to get them used to hearing counting and seeing numbers. after seeing and hearing numbers so much your child will learn them fast when the time comes. this is a great headstart for any child and a lovely gift too. when you mix fun with learning, you can never go wrong....

This just wasn't as great as I had hoped. It was boring for the girls. I even tried sitting down with them, teaching them and playing with the toy with them and they were not interested. I honestly wish we wouldn't have wasted our money on it. Now it's in the toy box and doesn't get played with....
