If I could spend one day in her shoes, my days would never again be the same! I think that Janet must have one heck of an imagination to be able to dream up a life for someone to live like this!!! Grandma is my all time favorite character in this book. I just love all the scenes she gets herself into!!! She can make me laugh no matter what kind of mood I am in!

I read Janet's books inbetween my more serious books, Debbie McComber, James Patterson or John Grisham! They are great breaks! I have not found a bad series yet!
...

I started reading "One for the Money" two weeks ago, and ended with "Lean Mean Thirteen" two days ago. I love this series, and this one doesn't disappoint! I'm curious to see where the Stephanie/Ranger relationship goes in the next book. And I appreciate the mystery aspect, although it was easy to solve until "Eleven on Top" - keep throwing in those surprises, Janet!...

Stephanie Plum books are great for good light reads. They make you feel good when you read them. The humor is outstanding and I love the characters. It is one of the few series that I wait for a new book to be released. Janet Evanovich is a very talented writer. Not only do things blow up a lot in these books but the characters are far from boring. I recommend starting from the beginning and reading each one so as not to miss one exciting moment in the never dull life of Stephanie Plum. And don't forget the between the series books!...

I love the books in this series. They are very light-hearted, and so funny. Stephanie gets into some real pickles! The grandmother is probably the funniest character-her and her funerals! These books have a little of everything, romance, fun, comedy, adventure! Start at One for the Money and work your way through!...

ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i'm sure i've said this before, but this series just gets funnier and funnier with each book! i read this book so fast that i did't even have time to put it on currently reading list, it just went straight to my read list. i laughed the whole way through the book.

but, i made a big no-no reading this book. i read the first, second, and third, and then skipped to this book because some one wanted to read it. so i'm a bit lost. when did stephanie and morelli finally hook up? when did stephanie find out where ranger lives? WHEN DID STEPHANIE AND RANGER HOOK UP? that suprised me the most. and when did lula and tank hook up? i guess i'm gonna have to finish the rest of the series now....

While I do love this author, her books do become repetitive after a while. At the same time, It does not really matter with this series, because it has the same people, and kind of the same plot. This is a great book, and I would recommend it to anyone who would ask. It made me laugh and smile, and could not put it down until I finished it....

LEAN MEAN THIRTEEN by Janet Evanovich ($27.95, St. Martin's Press) Thirteenth in the Stephanie Plum series (duh) Rating A Stephanie's ex-husband Dickie Orr can still push her buttons. She tries to avoid contact with him, especially as he is having a fling with her arch-rival Joyce Barnhardt. She only went to his office as a favor to Ranger, who needed a "bug" planted. The trip had enough disaster potential that in addition to Lula, office manager Connie went along. They pretended to need help forming a business, but when Stephanie saw a family heirloom, she got a tad irritated. That's an understatement, and the result was she left with her aunt's clock. She didn't go quietly, though, and when Dickie goes missing with blood in his apartment, she is the primary suspect. Joyce, who can smell wealth a mile away, is afraid Stephanie is hiding her potential meal ticket. Joyce takes to following Stephanie, and zapping her with a stun gun. In the midst of this action,......

Stephanie does it again! She carried me through laughs, though a more serious funny this time, and connects with her femine side as always with Ranger. The characters are so alive and "Jerseyish" that they must be real. Grandma always suprises me with her wit....

Ha these books crack me up. Heck they are so good my dad will read them. You do need to read them in order though or it may not make sense. But if you love adventure, comedy, and romance then you will love this book. However, I STRONGLY suggest that you start with book one and go from there. Book thirteen is not as good if you haven't read the rest of them....

I laughed so hard my sides hurt. I can't wait to see just what Grandma Mauser will get into. Will Stephanie's Mom iron her self into a tizzy or just give in to the liquor in the cupboard? What about Joe and Ranger? Can't they just come up with a visitation schedule that Stephany can live with?...

It was the best 5 bucks I ever spent. I am now a Plum Fanatic. Great Characters, Great Story Lines and whole lot of laughs. Oh to have a Ranger looking after me!! Would hate to be her insurance company though!! :)

...

I have read all 13 books and I can`t wait for the next one. They are all the funniest books i have ever read. Grandma has got to be the craziest granny around. If you love to laugh then you should read this series. You will be rolling on the floor. My mom my sister and I all read all of them. Personally I think Stephanie should marry Ranger. He sounds hot!!!! As in sizzling hot. When I first started to read this series i was kind of sceptical but as i kept going it got funnier and funnier. I just couldn`t put the book down. I hope 14 comes out soon....

Stephanie Plum and her crew never fail to delight and entertain me. She is always in trouble, having her cars blown up and being rescued by one of the daring men in her life.

Her family is zany and unusual, from her Mom who constantly prays for her to her Grandmother who encourages her and tries to join in on her ventures.

The men in her life are both dreamboats who constantly make it impossible for her to resist either.

It just doesn't get much better than Janet E. I will be watching for number 14 !
...
