I usually have trouble finding jeans that fit me well enough in all areas of my body type. They are either too long (I'm 5'1), too tight around at the waist area or just plain unflattering for my body shape. I recently visited Lane Brayant's online site and saw their line of Right Fit Jeans. I was quite hesitant at first then decided to chance it and purchased a pair that was only $19.99 in the Sale section. I purchased a size 4 and they were just a bit too tight for me and definitely too long (they were the regular length). I decided to visit my local Lane Bryant store and exchange it for the next size up, hoping they carried it in a petite length size. I was pleased to find a size 5P at the store, however this size was way too big so I tried the size 4P and it fit much better. They were just a bit more looser than the size 4 Regular Yellow Right Fit jeans, I had previously purchased online. However, I must admit the length even though it's a Petite, it is still a bit too long for me and...
...

I have a totally hard to fit jeans-type - I'm 5'4 (the very tallest you can be and still be considered "petite," or as they put in plus-sized clothes now, because we ain't petite... short) with a LONG torso. This means that most "short" fit pants have too little "rise" for me, along with the fact that I carry a lot of my extra weight in my tummy. So right fit has proven to be an awesome solution for me, in that I can get a petite jean made for a really curvy waist, which hugs me in all the right places.

On the plus side, you have:

Cute styles

Nice dark, fashionable rinses

Stretch, for comfort

A quality, durable product

On the negative side, you've got:

Stretch - in plus sizes, this tends to "bag-out" after a few wears, leading to the need for more frequent washes

A fairly expensive price tag, at around $50 per pair. Sometimes you can catch them on sale. I'd love to see these go for around $30 regular price... I know that at as high of a level of retail as Lane Bryant is, this isn't going...

...

JoyfulOne says "Finally, jeans for this tall girl!" about Lane Bryant Right Fit Jeans

I just purchased a pair of "Right Fit" jeans at Lane Bryant. Luckily, I was not assaulted by a salesperson with a measuring tape, as I have heard others have been....perhaps this is due to my snotty unapproachable nature. Ha! Seriously Salespeople, back off.

I wear a size 16 and can almost never find jeans that are long enough. I tried on the 2 tall and 3 tall in the Yellow Right Fit jeans and the 3's almost fit me perfectly. I think I am a size 2.75. The most important thing about these jeans is that they are long enough! And to the reviewer who thinks that to wear the "talls" you need to be 6 feet tall; I am only 5'9".

Also, thank you thank you for making jeans for larger sizes that do not have glitter and fake jewels all over the pockets! How ridiculous are those jeans? Do they think that because I do not wear a size 2 that I need sparkles on everything? I am not a toddler, thank you very much. They could take this same lesson and apply it to their shirts. I have not...
...

The right fit jeans from lane Bryant are not always the right fit. You could be two different colors and many different sizes, then you have to worry about them streching out. And if you go to a smaller size they are too small. They are like any other pants, you have to have the right body type for them....

I tried on various sizes in both the yellow "fit" and the red "fit" - NEITHER was an acceptable fit. The blue fit is not an option as the difference between my waist and hips is not that great.

So I ask...now what? Lane Bryant took away any other choices we had - and even IF you are able to find a fit with the ridiculous new system, you had better like flare or bootcut 'cause that's all you get to choose from, and you had REALLY better like "stretch" denim (who came up with thinking THIS is flattering to big tummys and hips?!?!?) because there isn't a rigid denim jean in the line. That is insane.

Very disappointed - as a previously loyal fan of Lane Bryant who spend upwards of $100 on a regular basis, I'm looking for a new place to shop.
...

I love these jeans. They are affordable and they always fit. I always find great colors and styles. I love that there are different fits available. I even fit into a size smaller than their size calculator determinded. The only thing I don't like about these jeans is that the price is a locked price. What I mean by that is you aren't able to use coupons or discounts on any of these styles. You can use coupons and such on most of all the items at Lane Bryant stores, but not on these specific jeans....

These jeans were great... at first! When I first tried them on, they were quite tight, but they were VERY flattering. I was a red fit, which meant very curvy. As I lost a few pounds, the jeans became less flattering, while other jeans didn't change at all, these were almost to the point where I couldn't wear them! One big complaint: they made the tall 2 inches longer than their usual talls, so only a freakin' GIANT over 6 feet could wear them! How many fat women over 6 feet tall do you know? They are usually models! :) SO yeah... why did they do that? The average are also like an inch shorter, so I am very self-conscious when I wear the jeans that they are way too short on me! I'm 5'8"...

But, the fit is nice, especially while they stay tight. Very flattering!
...

I am a young twenty-something plus-size graduate student. Most women who are above average weight tend to gain that weight in the hip/thigh area and keep a smaller waist. Not me. I have the straight waist to hip thing going on making it really hard to find jeans that would button at the waist and not be completely baggy every where else.

Now Lane Bryant has the solution for people of all shapes...Right Fit Jeans. You are given different fits based on the measurements of the waist and hips. In general, I would recommend Lane Bryant for most plus-size women. This store has really put the effort into creating stylish plus-sized clothing and I fully appreciate it. The only draw-back I have with this store is that it can be a bit pricey for someone like me (earning the pay of a teaching assistant), but some great deals can be made if you plan out your shopping to coincide with their coupons (typically 30% off).

The jeans are about $40 which may put them out of some people's price range, but...
...
