We borrowed this toy from a friend, and I think we'll purchase one to last us through all of our future children. This toy is great. The classical music played by the flowers is very nice to listen to, with a bell-like quality. The lights provide stimulation, and the crinkly material used for the petals is fun to chew! My son loves this toy and seeks it out wherever it is. We move it all around to encourage him to crawl. Although one of the cons mentioned is that the base tips easily, I find that the light weight makes it more fun for my son to maniupulate (and chew). Great toy from a great company.
...

I bought this for my daughter at 3 months even tho the box said 6. I was being a good toy-testing parent in the store :-) and when I activated this one, her eyes locked on and never looked away! The music level isn't too loud, and it's very pleasant, soft, chime-like-notes with lights to the music. There are 3 settings: 1 - push each flower to make it sound; 2 - push any flower to make the music start for a few seconds push a flower again to make it continue the song; 3 - push any flower and it will go thru an entire song. Level 3 has two songs and level 2 has one song for a total of three separate songs. When my daughter was 3 months old she couldn't sit on her own, but I held her up and she would kick it to make it go off. I used setting 3 at this point. When she could sit up alone I usually put it on setting 2. This way she learned that when she hit a flower it played music. After she developed enough that she was getting interested in the bottom of the toy and not so much the songs,...
...
