tclaire10 says "pricey but worth it" about La Mer creme de la mer

This is a very pricey, expensive cream. BUT!! you only need one night cream in your regimen so you might as well buy a good one. This works very well, its thick and rich but does not clog my pores. smells very nice, and not too strongly. I would suggest getting a medium sized container. If you get a really small one, you're not getting your money's worth. But if you get the super-large one, it might grow bacteria after a while.

I have also tried the new SKII ultimate cream (not sure what its called exactly, it comes in the gold container and retails for about $330). Thats also a really good cream, I think though that it applies more to older people who would like an anti-aging effect. Whereas the la mer cream can be used by all skin types. Price-wise I'd say la mer is a little cheaper, but then again it all depends on how much cream you use per application. Its a good investment for skincare. Much much MUCH better than the hope in a jar from philosophy.
...

jennyx33 says "Mesmerized" about La Mer creme de la mer

At first I thought that La Mer was really too good to be true until I got a sample from Neimann Marcus a month ago and...

I am completely won over by this product! I don't care how much it costs - I love the smell, I feel so comforted when I put this on my face and really it is the best cream I have ever tried This is so rich but will not cause breakouts. Worth the price in my opinion - I think some prices out there are so high just really to convince you that the product is going to work, but with this, it definitely does was it says on the tin and the price is irrelevant to me for that reason.

Some people think that you have to use a lot of it to get optimum results when the secret is in the way you use it! You only need A LITTLE BIT. Like a size of a dime or even less. You have to warm it up in your fingers and gently PAT IT on your face. do not rub!!! once you do that, you just let your skin drink it up and you will have great looking skin in the morning, GUARANTEED.
...

elleche says "Buy the best and expect a miracle...you won't be disappointed!" about La Mer creme de la mer

What else can I say about THE cream that is constantly the buzz of celebs and other posh women in the know? I discovered this wonderful cream a couple years back and at first, didn't get what the big deal was. Of course I knew Creme de La Mer was insanely expensive, based on the fact that no other cream I had ever heard of was selling for over $100 for just a mere one ounce!

But lo and behold when the winter came I saw how cracked my poor hands became...very windchapped and sore even with gloves. But when no other lotion would work, I decided to give the La Mer a try and was happy to see the redness and dry surface go away at once. And most importantly, this cream used at night on your face is a dream. I did see some breakouts here and there but I doubt it was the La Mer. However, after a couple of weeks of use, those did subside, leading me to believe that the Creme de La Mer had little to do with my occasional pimples on my cheeks. I highly recommend this moisturizer...
...

Jo says "You're worth it! La Mer Creme de la Mer - it's only money" about La Mer creme de la mer

My mom had a 1- ounce jar of La Mer Crème de la Mer which she wasn't using so I liberated it. I was a bit hesitant to use this moisturizer because I use only Obagi products. But I don't use Obagi on my neck so I decided this would be my neck cream. I also get some very dry spots above my nose. La Mer Crème de la Mer is just wonderful for this dry skin.

The truth is that what is said on the website is correct. Lines on my neck seem to be less noticeable. I am using another product around my eyes so I haven't tried La Mer Crème de la Mer there but I would for sure.

Before I go any farther 1-ounce costs $125. Two ounces costs $230 and if your mom is very special Mother's Day is coming up so why not spend almost $1400 but she'll get 16.5 ounces which will last forever. The 1-ounce jar has lasted me for a couple of months.

La Mer Crème de la Mer is said to have Miracle Broth (trademarked) which "is suspended within its extraordinary formula." (http://www.cremedelamer.com/miracle/miracle.tmpl)...
...

KNYC says "Absolutely worth the money, and I can be really cheap about stuff" about La Mer creme de la mer

I've been using Creme De La Mer for about 7 years now. I used to buy the drugstore night creams but I find I probably spend about the same - given how little of this you use and how much of that! I noticed a huge difference the first month, and I guess now I'm in a "youth holding pattern". It also has helped fade surgical scars like crazy!

Folks think I'm at least 10 years younger than I am, sometimes 15. :) That's GOOD stuff! I don't recommend buying on ebay, I tried once and got fake stuff. If you check Neiman Marcus they do specials a lot for a cool gift bag chock full of great samples and a tote bag. Plus you can always find a free shipping code on the internet! :)
...

cassieo says "PURELY MAGICAL!" about La Mer creme de la mer

I started using Creme De La Mer about 3 weeks ago and have 100% noticed a difference. I am 25 years old and have normal skin with the occasional pimple. I wanted something that would make my skin glow, and that is certainly what this stuff did. I had heard a lot of amazing things about Creme De La Mer but was hesitating due to the hefty price tag (1oz. is $125). Finally though, I stepped up to the plate and bought some.

First, let me say that a little goes a long way and if used correctly this 1oz. container should last 3-4 months. The first night of putting it on I felt an immediate difference. My skin felt light and I could feel it seeping in. I woke up with the softest skin ever. The creme itself is very thick so we need to work between your fingers before applying it.

For the past two weeks I have not used any foundation on my skin. I put a litte on a little bronzer and eye makeup and I am ready for the day. Even my hard-to-please mother noticed a difference. I went home...
...

I started using LaMer creme de la mer when I was 40 because i had a patch of dry skin that would not go away. 11 years later I won't give it up and I haven't age a bit since 40. Still not a wrinkle. Don't know if its my genes or La Mer but will not stop and take that chance!...
