The Ocean Salt Scrub ($18.55) contains sea salt, coconut and avacado oils to help scrub away everyday grime. Although the scrub serves its purpose as an exfoliator, it can be too harsh for some. I find the grains of salt too large and abrasive against my thin, sensitive skin. Also, the vodka in this product gives me a burning sensation. I would not recommend this for everyday use, but rather a weekly scrub.

After rinsing my face looks bright and glowing. It also feels soft to the touch. However, since I find this too harsh to use for my face, I usually take this with me in the shower to exfoliate my elbows, heels, and legs. It does an amazing job scrubbing away dead skin cells, making my skin feel soft and supple.

A con I have about this product is the price-- $18.55 for 4.4 oz. Although a small jar does last quite a while, I'm not sure if I'd be willing to buy this again. There are definately more gentle exfoliators out there.

I am a self-proclaimed Lushie and Ocean Salt Scrub is another Lush product I absolutely adore. Ocean Salt Scrub moisturizes as well as exfoliates. It is like a dip in the ocean; you come away feeling smooth and refreshed.

It smells like paradise and delicious enough to eat. It is like a day at the beach without getting sand in your shorts. You can escape from the day's stress and almost wash away your worries (at least for a moment). Your face may be blue, but you won't be. Ocean Salt Scrub will brighten your face and cheer you up. It is soothing and smoothing. No bating suits will be swept away in this tied, only unwanted dirt, grime and oily build-up. It can be used on your face as well as your body (but I would not recommend that you use it on your face daily). The coarse salt may be too intense for your skin for daily use. Perhaps once or twice a week, you can escape to paradise in a jar.

I adore Lush, but do not shop there often because it is a bit pricy, but I spent a bit of money there a bit ago and feel satisfied and beautiful. I got the Ocean Salt Scrub for body and face. It also has an expiration date like all natural products should! How cool is that?! Anyway, it still works past the date and works wonderfully. It has thick chunky ocean salt and thick blue substances that smells like the ocean (it's sorta spready and creamy). Anyway, whether it is used on the face or body, it's fantastic!!! It is gentle enough for the face, the thick rough salt gently sloughing the dead skin (the blue substance helps soften it and minimize the effects of the salt) without irritating the face. The salt scrub is also useful for the body, especially on rough parts like elbows and knees. It makes my body glow and smell fresh and beautiful. My body takes the lotion easier and it absorbs better after it.

This scrub is good, but you shouldn't use it too often, unless your skin can really handle it. It's a bit drying.

I originally bought this for my face, but it was just way way way to harsh for my sensitive skin. How harsh was it? I got this strange break-out on my cheeks that was so painful that even sunlight hitting it made it hurt like crazy. So, while I think if you have normal skin, this would be fine for the face, be really cautious if your skin is sensitive.

That said, this is great on the rest of the body. Even my husband, who is SO not into this sort of thing, is hooked on it. When Lush had their after Christmas sale, he bought two containers of this! It smells amazing too.

Excellent dead skin remover.

I usually take a short shower, then scrub into my skin. Don`t use it on my face as this salt is for the body.For face there are finer products to apply.

Smooth, soft skin instantly guaranteed.

However, I do use body lotion afterwards of course.

Ocean Salt is blue and salty- has a vodka base with citrus - like a tropical drink.

(warning- do NOT attempt to ingest it!!!)

As a face scrub, it's fantastic. Label says use once weekly for dry skin- but my Midwest middle aged skin does fine with 2-3 times weekly.

Leaves skin soft and smooth, but exfoliated.

Pricey- $16.95 USD for 4.2 oz.- but lasts a long time- approx 1/2 tsp. does my face. Works great on knees, feet- but too pricey for me to use on body regularly.

Rinse thoroughly - drying salt sticks in hair otherwise.

Keep in frig in summer- use cold for refreshing scrub.

In winter, if you can't afford to go to Aruba, this is a great tropical reminder. (Of course, Aruba would be a hundred times better than face scrub, but what can you do???? )

I worked for Lush for a short time and we would also demo this product. People loved it! It smells great and you can definitely notice the difference after a scrub. I use it before I shave and it makes my legs so smooooooth :-). However, I wouldn't recommend it on a sensitive face...I tried it and it seems too course and almost painful. Other than that: Rough spots, hands, elbows, legs, feet....it's perfect!...

This is the best scrub I have used in ages! I get excited when I wake up in the morning knowing that I am minutes away from using this scrub!! The scent is cool and fruity. Very invigorating! The salt will tend to burn your skin a tad if left on too long. Make sure you mix up the container before you use it otherwise the larger grains of salt will tear your skin to shreds....

LUSH Ocean Salt Scrub is the answer to my skin's prayers! I have normal to oily skin and have been prone to breakouts in the past. This exfoliating scrub does away with the dirt, grime, oil and other impurities that cause breakouts. I use it on my face once a day in the morning. This proudct is amazing. I've used it on my feet during pedicures, on my face, on the rest of my body... and it was amazing in each area!

I'm not one that is typically into all that sorta "Beauty" stuff, but this product really helps make it appealing! It is a wonderful way to pamper yourself, whatever the need!...

I've tried dozens and dozens of LUSH products in the past several months. One of my absolute favorites is their Ocean Salt Facial Scrub. It's a pricey product but I've found it to be well worth the expense. I'm working on my third jar of it at the moment and I just love it.

This scrub is designed to be used on your face but you can actually use it all over your body if you wish. LUSH's description on the label of this scrub reads: We take the lime and the coconut (and grapefruit and sea salt) and mix them up together in our stimulating, fruity, vodka-based face scrub. For a complexion that glows. I had never heard of a vodka facial scrub before purchasing this product. Is vodka supposed to be good for skin?

When you open up this scrub, you never know exactly what you are going to find. Two of the jars I bought had a blue layer on top while the third was completely white. Most of the "blue" containers was actually white and had to be mixed up prior to use. All three of...

I find their products hit and miss. One product that is a huge hit for me is their LUSH Ocean Salt Scrub. This scrub can be used on the face or body. I use it only on my face because it's pricey but it would make a marvelous all over scrub.

The Product

LUSH Ocean Salt Scrub is handmade in LUSH's Canadian factory with natural ingredients. It comes in either a 4.2 ounce tub for $16.95 or an 8.8 ounce tub for $29.95. Pricey? Of course. LUSH is pricey because their ingredients are fresh, natural, and they make every product they sell by hand.

This scrub is a beautiful blue color that is as thick as pudding. You need to stir it up a bit to mix the ingredients and then the fun begins.
