2.5 years into a washing machine that cost me over $1,200 and already have to replace the pump. Had GE for 14 years with absolutely no problems. Pretty looks paid a steep price!! Called LG and their statement to me was "there is nothing that LG can do to assist you with this." I guess that's all $1,200 gives you - 2.5 years of use without a 20% added expense. Garbage is all I can say.........
...

Washing machines can cost around 200 to 1,000, pounds. Most people will be satishied by the one that cost between 300 to 600 pounds. You will get a machine that can handle 5kg to 6kg loads ( for an average of family) and a high spin- speed ( 1,100rpm or more ) ultimately, which, will pay for itself by reducting and washing cost. Whenever it comes to features " Fuzzy logic " that will be your first goal. The computerised brain within a machine will helps to maximise it efficiency. The logic fuzzy should help to increase the machine's spin performance, too When settings you should require a person choice depending on the variety of your clothes and linen, most people rarely stray from the intensive, economy, delicate and half-load set of these things. The modern detergents does means pre-wash cycles are of little benefit to guard yourself, too against the meaningless jargon so beloved by you manufacturing, such as Aquatonic wash and Bioprofile: For a common features they are just...
...

Chuck48098 says "If You Like Grow Mold Buy an LG Washer" about LG front load washing machine HG

I have had my LG Washer for two years now and about 6 months after the purchase I began to notice a oder from inside the washing machine. It seems that due to the poor design water stays in several areas of the machine and mold begins to grow. I had a service agreement and called the repair person who came out and said that they see this problem with quite a few LG front load washers.

This is not a cheap washer and I felt that I was getting a well made product. If you happen to have made the mistake of purchasing one of these lemons then you should go to smellywasher.com. They sell a powder that will remove the mold and the oder. Amazing that a problem like this has spawned a whole industry of products due to a poor design. Would never purchase another LG appliance again. Washing machines are supposed to just work. Especially when you pay close to $1,000 for them....!
...

I wanted to take a moment to talk about the "Electrolux front loading washing machine" that I purchased at "LOWES". Walking through the large appliance section is (to me) like a kid in a candy store, everything looks bigger and better than the last one you just looked at! The washer was 1199.00 and the dryer was 999.00, a bit over the top but I figured it was a long time investment, the reputation behind the name, the largest front loading capicity, well lets just say,I couldn't get my wallet out fast enough! I had to wait 2 weeks to be delivered because they're so new they have to be shipped from the factory. Before I used it I read the booklet and called to get the "free" dvd so it could answer any questions I may have after the booklet. The customer service woman had no clue what I was talking about, I had to read her the paragraph stating this was available, after a few minutes on hold she comes back to tell me they hadn't even made the dvd yet, but I was now on the list...
...

The LG frontloading washing machine is the best i have ever owned. It has so many options it does any thing and everything i need. My son races motocross and get s very muddy and dirty. His clothes come out clean on one wash using the pre wash cycle. I use to have to wash them at least twice before they even looked half way decent. Highly recommended and will never own any else....

As a lifelong top loader, we recently replaced our old washer and dryer with mid-price range LG front loader w/d. Shopped around, checked Consumer Reports, and chatted up friends to be sure. Am absolutely thrilled with them! Easy to use once you know how and get used to it (2nd time). I only really use the quick cycle (about 30 minues) and the clothes come out great! We got the storage drawers under them which are nice for storage, but most big bottles wont fit in those. Its extremely quiet, and the whole 2nd floor of the house doesnt shake anymore!

Think its made a small to moderate improvement in our water bill, but living in the desert of Las Vegas its hard to tell. Only 2 things I dont like - cant open once started to add anything, so if you forgot to put something in, its too late. Also, cant change the water temperature. I used to change the temp gauge from cold to warm while filling to wash my colours in. Now whatever temp you choose, youre stuck with it. Some reviews I read prior...
...

My LG washing machine is one of the best things I have ever gotten my self.Being a mother of 8 and having 4 boys in the home this machine has made my life easier. It cleans the clothes great and I can wash 16 pairs of jeans at one time and if you are a mother you will understand how important that is. It has cut my wash time in half and it saves water and money, I use less soap and clean more clothes. I would never go back to the old washer again, so if you have the means than I would tell you go for it and buy your self a pair, you will not be sorry. It is worth the money!!!!
...
