We have had the Envy 2's for a year now. they were fun at first, easy to use. A tad on the big side. Camera works great for a cell phone. But after the 2nd month it want all down hill! The ok button doesnt work. The phone shuts off several times a day. I have missed some important phone calls due to this. We have each traded our phones in 3 times a piece for a replacement hoping to fix the problem. Only for a few weeks did they work. And back to the shutting off randomly and the OK button not working.
...

JulieK says "I love my Envy 2 - I just talked my husband into getting one too" about LG - envy 2 Cell Phone

I got the LG Envy 2 about a year ago, when I started to text a lot. I wanted to have a full keyboard option on my phone. I think it is a great phone! It is extremely user friendly and I love that it has both a screen on the outside of the phone, and the inside. Makes it very versatile for both calling and texting.

The camera takes really good quality pictures, and the resolution on the screen is great. It is very easy to send and receive photo messages. My only complaint is that you can't take a picture straight-on with the phone, since you need to have the phone "open" and the camera lens is on the back of the phone. You have to get the camera at a wierd angle if you want to see what you are trying to photograph. It's awkward for taking pictures.

If your main objectives for a phone are calls, texting and ease of use, this is a great option. If you plan to take lots of photos with your phone, it may not be the best option.
...

I dig it, I'm not used to the qwerty keyboard just yet, so I am glad I have the option of texting externally. I've had it for about 3 weeks and I still don't want to take the plastic protective thingy off. I'll cave sooner or later.

The phone itself seems pretty sturdy; I'm not terrified to flip it open like phones I've had in the past. One thing that does bother me is the automatic key-lock. Every time I flip it closed, it locks. Also, I wish the external screen was larger.
...

zandbmom says "THE ENVY 2 IS FUN BUT FRUSTRATING" about LG - envy 2 Cell Phone

The Envy 2 is fine for phone use. I find the battery does not keep its charge very long at all. Also, when using the tools that are available to use, it takes too long to get into it. It seems like something that is supposed to be your calendar would be easier to get to. When setting an event, it is also kind of a pain. I have not figured out yet how to change the setting for when it will remind you of an event. Some events you want reminded an hour before and some more or less, but it is set so they are all the same. The ringtones it comes with are totally lame. I suppose that is because everyone buys their own now, but not one of them is any good, so I was forced to buy my own. The locking feature is annoying. I understand why it locks but it locks very quickly and every time I go to check it, I have to unlock it. Overall, I would not buy this phone again.
...

I love the Lg Envy 2 phone. I think it is the coolest phone I have seen in a long time. I love having a qwerty keyboard to use for texting. I use texting all the time now because of this feature. I love that it comes in a color besides black or silver.I have a red one and it is really nice. My envy has lots of functions like e-mail and gps and it even has the capability to do moblie tv. I love the fact that it has an inner screen and an outer screen, and I have speaker phone on it as well. I really enjoy the way the address book works too it is easy to master and find contacts. The camera is another great feature, I love the way it functions and it also takes video as well. I have used iot many times when I do not have my digital camera available and the photos come out just as well. All in all I love my Envy and when upgrading I will go to the envy 3 instead of switching brands.
...

baltimoron says "LG ENVY2...nothing to envy" about LG - envy 2 Cell Phone

The Envy 2 is a huge disappointment. I've had this phone for about 3 months, and am missing my Samsung Alias. There are three major problems with this phone, making it one of the most frustrating pieces of electronics I have ever owned.

The first problem is the fact that the phone turns off frequently. This happens so often, that my friends and fiancé think I am purposely turning the phone off to avoid their calls.

Second problem is the infamous "butt dial". I tried to rectify this by turning the speed dial function off, but this did not help. I'm not a fan of reading user manuals, so I'm sure there is a way to lock the front key pad, but I have not been able to figure it out as of yet.

The third problem is the "ok" button. This button sticks, and makes navigation almost impossible.

All in all, not a good phone. Save your money and buy the Samsung Alias, or wait for something better to come out. I'll be pitching mine shortly.
...

OK SO WHERE DO I START.. I WAS REALLY EXCITED TO GET THIS PHONE BACAUSE I THOUGH IT WAS FASTER AMD MORE RELIABLE THAT THE ENVY 1 BUT TO MY SUPRISE IT'S WORST.

I own an LG envy 2 Cell Phone, and I would have a hard time getting through even one day without it it. Everything I need to keep my schedule organized is right at my finger tips. I'm not the most savvy of cell phone users, but the LG envy 2 is extremely user friendly. And, if there is something I don't know how to use, I either refer to their wonderful user guide or contact their even more informative help line.

Making phone calls, using the private earpiece, speaker phone, or blue-tooth, is only the beginning of what this phone can do. I have text messaging, to send and receive text messages using the front panel number keys, or open it up to use the full keyboard and larger screen. I also have picture and video capabilities. I can use my LG envy 2 as a camera to take photos, a video camera to take video clips, and a voice recorder to make a recording of my message. All of which I can send and receive just like a text message. There are so many uses for this fabulous phone. Having a...
...

Thestian says "Super easy to text, big keys on the front" about LG - envy 2 Cell Phone

I love this phone! I went from using an old school samsung that could barely even text to this AWESOME LG EnV2 and it was the most amazing upgrade I've ever made. I will never go back to using another phone. It flips open sideways to reveal a QWERTY keyboard, which has relatively big keys, but isn't too big that you can't reach the letters in the middle when you're holding it. The front has huge number keys, and in a pinch you can text old-school style with one hand without opening it. I've definitely done that when I get a text and I'm doing something else but need to make a quick response. The ringtone is really loud so I always hear when it rings. The alarm is kinda annoying to use, but it's not that bad. Its also a small phone, so it fits in my back pocket, but its not so small and fragile that I feel like I'll break it (and I'm kind of a clutz so thats a good thing!) I'm a huge texter, and this phone makes that so easy! Actually, my mom got the same one, and she's pretty phone-challenged,...
...

This phone is a great phone for someone who sends thousands of text messages a month, and is also good for someone who sends very few messages a month. the full keyboard is perfect for texting and makes it easy and quick to send texts. the screen is very bright, and i love it. it has a 2.0 megapixel camera, but it takes much better quality pictures than it probably should for a cell phone. you can see clear details in many pictures, and it also takes good(but not great) video. Phone calls on the phone aren't as great as any other phone, but they aren't bad. i purchased a wired headset, and this problem went away. the battery life on the envy two is very good, you could use this phone all day for 3 days without running out of battery. i have dropped my phone multiple times, and all i have to show for it is one scratch on the outer rim. in all, a very great phone. i would recomend this to anyone who is not currently pleased with their phone.
...
