Although the name makes you think people will "envy" you for having it, the LG enV2 phone will be just the opposite! Albiet the idea of a full QWERT keyboard sounds promising, just hope you can last a week using it. After almost one full month of having the phone I dropped my seemingly untouched phone, without a single previous scratch. Basically both the internal and external screens went bright white instantly. I would label myself as extremely cautious when it comes to electronics, but this was one single drop onto wood flooring from about 3 feet. It was instantly gone from the front. I had the warrenty, so I brought it back to the Verizon store. Now here lies a whole new journey in itself. First you must enter an sign in, then wait some times up to an hour for an employee who could care less what your problem is and would rather listen to the music on their phone which is blasting. So I walk in and ask for a new phone since I can't use mine with broken screens. The employee then looked......

I have the LG enV2 cell phone and have found it to be quite easy to use. It is lightweight and the keyguard lock is an added bonus - it keeps me from inadvertently calling someone while in my purse. The front screen is a little small, but I like the larger number keys on the front. The full keypad inside is really nice when I need to text and the inside screen is big enough that I can see what I am reading/texting. The camera/video feature is a plus when the grandkids are around although it would be great to have a flash feature. I use the online app for checking my email when away from home which is a plus for me. Downloading ringtones is easy and I have the ability to browse whatever music I like. The internal memory is fairly large and I have the ability to use and SD card if I choose to purchase one. I like the color choices available with the enV2 phone - I chose maroon. There are also many ways to personalize my phone (with pictures, words, etc.) that is very easy...
...

The EnV2 is a great phone. I use it for just about everything from texting my friends to checking the date, using the alarm clock. It locks when it is closed which is nice becuase then you don't have to worry about accentally calling someone. When it is open you can see and use a full keyboard. For people who text a lot this is a great feature. You can also take picutures but only about Fifthteen till the picture internal memory is full. You can also take video but only three with internal memory. The speak phone, hearing and talking to other people is very clear. The phone also has music player with it. Music when downloaded and listened to is also very clear, but in order to listen to it without head phones to hear it well needs to be fliped opened. It also has a GPS navagator that is great and does play by play directions. I have used it many times. The only thing I don't like about the phone is that when I get the pictures I take on my computer they are not as clear as a digital camera...
...

I have always been a fan of LG phones. I am on my 3rd LG phone in the past 5 years. They always last me the full two years of my Verizon contract.

This phone has treated me well. I would recommend the cell phone case, though. It provides for more durability. The phone is pretty fragile without the case. It's a nice flip phone - the first I've owned with a full keyboard.

It looks less stylish than its first edition. This one is short and stubby, and a little clunky. Technically, it's working wonderfully!

I would note, though, that the lack of a flash makes using this phone as a camera less desirable.
...

The enV2 phone is a very easy phone to learn and a great phone for anyone. My sister had the phone first and pointed out some fun things about it. The first neat thing was that when you get a text message, if your reading it and hit the space bar it will speak the message. Its fun and neat to have it read aloud at times. the enV2 takes great-pictures and the pictures look good on the phone as wallpapers. I love the ease of texting both while the phone is shut using the front and opened using the keyboard. its a phone that locks and has never dialed out by mistake. I have the black enV2 and really like both the black and the maroon.

If your looking for a good phone this one is it. If you like to have fun with your phone, this one is great. I love sending and receiving texts and picture messages. I love collecting new sounds and ringtones and the enV2 is awesome at having the room to store my pictures, sounds and ringtones. if you choose the enV2 you will be quite happy.

I love this phone! The LG enV2 is perfect for texters because of the full qwerty keyboard. And it works great for phone calls too because you don't have to flip it open to answer a call. I love the fact that you can read texts from the outside as well, and if you have a quick response you can text that back without opening the phone! It also has internet capability and music options. There are so many different options I don't use that seem wasted, but over all I think this phone is perfect for me. I text more than I call and I love that I don't have to open the phone to answer a call.
...

The EnV2 is a great phone. The only thing I miss is being able to save images from the internet to my phone, which this phone is not capable of for some reason. Otherwise, it is user-friendly and easy to use. It has many features as well as applications that come along with your contract. Not to mention, the GPS Navigator is much better than my TomTom! If there was anything else I wish was easier to find are holders for this style phone and to be able to change to keylock code from okok to a four digit code which I can't seem to do. I have been able to collect a very diverse list of songs and am able to play wherever I go and have a pseudo-"Ipod" with which to enjoy music for hours!
...

heatherb9880 says "The LG ENV2 is probably the best phone I've ever had" about LG - enV2 Cell Phone

Well I'm one of those people who infinately waits for things to go on sale before i will make a purchase...so after years of always getting the "free phone" with service or something of that sort, I finally made my "big purchase" of the ENV2. Don't get me wrong, I have had this phone now for a while, but just found this web site and decided to write this review. I've tried probably every other phone out there, but I honestly like this one so much I just can't justify spending the extra money to replace it. It has tons of options that are very easy to use. No, it's not quite a black berry, but it's close enough for me! I have internet access that is only maybe seconds slower than some of those $200-$300 phones out there. It has a full key board, instant messaging options, and verizon gives you access to alot of different applications as well! On my phone I have mobile banking, so i can pay bills, etc, and VZ Navigator so I'll never get lost...I can even use the GPS to search for something...
...

I love the Env2, it is very user friendly. The keyboard makes texting very quick and easy, especially with two teenagers. I also love the fact that I can check my email while on the go and if needed I can look any information I may need up on the web from wherever I am. I do not have the reception problems that I have had with every other cell phone I have owned, this one does not cut in and out during conversations. The menu is easy to navigate and there are many options to choose from. It more that meets my needs, I don't need every bell and whistle it has, but I have never been more impressed with a cell phone. I also know that this phone has been able to impress me a lot easier due to the fact that I was able to get it for $50 when I renewed my contract. Upon my renewal, I paid for my phone, received the three other phones that my family members chose for themselves, not what the company said we must take, and added another phone line all for the $50 cost of my phone. ...
...

I traded in my EnV for the EnV 2.... and I like it. It's got a great screen inside the phone, with a full keyboard for texters. The biggest downfall, is the diffculty of texting without opening the phone. The outside screen is significantly smaller than that of the original EnV. It's a lot more compact, and not nearly as heavy as it's predecessor, but I am on the fence about whether or not I like it just as much. I enjoyed having a larger screen on the outside, as I utilized the outside screen a lot more for texting than I do now. It's also got several more limits on what you can do without opening the phone itself. I have to say though, it's got a lot more benefits than it does con's. It is SO much lighter and more compact. I recommend it to someone that likes texting and having a full keyboard!
...

I just got my EnV phone from Verizon. It is so cool and so much fun to use. I love the qwerty jkeyboard. It definitely makes texting so much easier. Also the camera takes great pics. This was the best phone I could have chosen for myself.

I am not a techie when it comes to testing so the full keyboard just makes it much more enjoyable to text. Thanks to LG for coming up with great phones.
...

jackieishot says "The env2 looks simple but jam packed with features" about LG - enV2 Cell Phone

The env2 may look like a square calculator from the front, but when you use it, you won't be reminded of a calculator. When closed, the env2 is a bit awkward in the hand to hold to your ear. When its open, its a texting machine! A full keyboard allows you to type faster than ever before.

When you stick this phone in your pocket, you do have a chance of pocket dialing since the numbers are in the front. Yes there is an automatic lock on the keys, but somehow it still has managed to pocket dial. Trust me, I have done it before.

The outside is lined with a silver edge, that after a while starts chipping off. Lg should of just left it black, because it is going to be all black when all the silver chips off.

The 2.0 megapixel camera is awesome. Its perfect for uploading to your computer and emailing to friends. It is very decent quality.

The video is nice, but the phone is awkward to hold, in video mode, since you could potentially be covering up the microphone, like I have found out.
......

The enV2 cell phone has got to be one of the best on the market. Prior to purchasing this cell phone, I had the Motorola KRZR and by the time my new every 2 was up, I was ready to throw the phone in the trash. I am not a heavy cell phone user as compared to most, but I needed a phone that has decent battery life and is reliable. The enV2 has definitely met those expectations and then some. I am a little challenged when it comes to texting, but with the QWERTY keyboard, it makes it a breeze. On the very first day of receiving the phone, I was able to turn it on and immediately begin using it. The features are extremely user friendly. I cannot say enough positive things about this phone. The battery life has been AWESOME. However, please be aware that I do not use my cell phone for connecting to the Web or nor do I use it like a blackberry. Therefore, please understand that I am solely basing my experiences on normal phone calls and text messaging. The battery life usually...
...
