Purchased the LG pair in April this year. I was very hesitant to purhase this style because of all the negative remarks I've heard.

I love them, they take minimal time to run a load on quick wash. the washer spin cycle dries the clothes so thoroughly that they feel almost completely dry when coming out of the wash. this cuts down on having to dry clothes for too long. This model is the energy star model and this helps keep cost down.

LG Washer WM2455HW: bought because of JD Power rating.. Somewhat disappointed. Lots of choices on wash combinations, which is great, everything from baby clothes to sanitary and offers extra water, extra rinse, etc. Nice features. Problems include level of dryer noise when washer is spinning and the gasket on the washer needs to be cleaned after each use or you have a mildew smell each time you open the door. Also, soap dispenser retains more water than I think it should so has to be emptied before you put in the soap for the next load. On a lighter note, both washer and dryer tinkle a cute little tune when they're done - a nice touch.

This is the best thing that has happened to our household in a long time. Our old washer and dryer pretty much went out on us. It would take 2 and 3 dry cycles to get our clothes dry. Our washing machine would leave soap stains all over our clothes and sheets. It was awful. We finally decided that we needed new appliances. We looked at several different brands and finally chose the LG Washer and Dryer. We chose this brand for a couple of reasons. First of all was the price. We got a great deal on the set. Second of all was the water usage. It hardly uses any water. 12 gallons at the most. When our old one was using 40-50 gallons. That is crazy. Our water bill alone has dropped dramatically. Third of all is the energy usage. It is an energy effecient washer and dryer. You really don't even know that they are running because they are so quiet. We will also save on our washing detergent. It uses less than 1/3 of product that we were using before. ...

All I wanted was a reliable; durable; efficient; affordable; and large enough washer. And the LG Front Load WM2455HW is just that and even exceeded my expectations. It is so quiet, very nice looking, and it even has a very soothing tune at the end of the wash cycle. We were able to purchase this for $800 (in white). I hope everyone can have the same experience!

We purchased the LG WM2455HG Front Loading Washer on Oct 1, 2008 and have had nothing but problems with it. We have had the Warranty Repair Technicians out 3 times and now they want to take it in and leave me without a washer for a week. I paid good money for what I thought would be a great machine, but this machine has walked all over

the laundry room and has even rubbed up against the dryer while in the spin cycle and chipped the paint off the dryer. I even went out and purchased the vibration mats to go under it to no avail. This machine has cost me money by having to take time off work to meet with the technician and purchasing the vibration mats. I am now in the process of talking with LG about getting another one. Something is defiantly wrong with this one. The problem I am having now is that everyone at LG wants to put me off on someone else and not handle the situation.

After much patient negotiation and trying to do the right thing, I have given up on LG. The washer had 3 visits from a repairman , who finally shrugged and said I can't fix it! A dozen phone calls, emails, faxes and non returned efforts to communicate, I finally took the units back to Home Depot...who did the right thing a gave me a refund. I will not buy anything with the LG name on it again. Before you buy, give them a call or email ....you will sample their non communication policy first hand.

I spent quite a bit of time comparing all the brands. I had checked the ratings and had narrowed my selection to Whirlpool, Kenmore, LG and Samsung prior to going to the store. I had an excellent salesman who spent a great deal of time going back and forth between the machines and explaining their features until I narrowed my choices down to 2 and then continued with the explanations and comparison. I rejected features that I felt I didn't need and with the salesman's help decided on the LG. Clothes labeled dry clean only wash beautifully as have my silk items and are just damp after the spin. The selection knobs are easy to use and I love the pause feature. I am extremely satisfied with my selection and the delivery. I also purchased the matching dryer and will write a review for it separately.

I must add that the 2 men who delivered my washer and dryer were extremely professional, efficient and quick. They did not bang my doorways, track in dirt, or do any of the other...

This washing machine is a good investment. I purchased a Kenmore first and had four delivered none of which worked..... Then, we decided on an LG model. It was such a relief to finally feel we could stop holding our breathe wondering if our purchase would actually work. This washer does an exceptional job cleaning clothes. I have read reviews on other washers that stated clothes came out tangled and not clean. This has never happened with me, my LG works great and is used constantly every day. I wash one load after another and have had no problems with any of the cycles. It appears durable. It is easy to work and we love it.

This LG TROMM washer is wonderful! It is huge and can wash big loads. I appreciate that alot. Less loads of laundry! We purchased without the drawer it sits on. I used it several months like that but finally gave in and purchased the drawer. Not only to I like the extra storage, it is much easier on my back!...

Bought this LG Front Load Machine-WM2455HW less than two weeks ago. The first thing I noticed was how quiet it was compared to my previous top-loader (of 30 years). It also somehow weighs the load to calculate the amount of water needed and the amount of time it will take to wash to perfection. I now don't have to worry about over calculating the load size to make sure there's enough water and soap. It could wash my queen size comforter without difficulty. I previously had to take it to the laundromat. It also spins so efficiently, a lot of my wash and wear clothes can be shaken and put straight on a hanger to finish drying so I can bypass the dryer and save energy and money. The way the door opens and closes reminds me of a car door. The machine is still new but I have been told by the salesperson and a friend who learned the hard way that it is important to wipe the rubber sealer regularly to avoid mildew buildup. We purchased this washing machine after our old one died. I comparison shopped for almost two weeks, read reviews from professionals and owners. This one was on the top constantly. What pushed us towards this one was the price and features. I could not find another washer with this many options at anywhere near this price.

Now the features are unbelievable! I have used every single cycle so far and my clothes have never been cleaner. It uses 1/3 to 1/2 the waater of my old traditional top loading machine. It is definitely quieter. I am using less water and doing laundry less often since I can now wash a dozen towels and four or five pairs of jeans IN ONE LOAD!!! And they come out clean and soft! My whites come out unbelievable. I have three teenagers who believe it is okay to run outside to get the mail/newspaper/etc. in just their socks. This machine on the sanitize cycle gets the whites looking almost new. I can now wash my king size comforter at home rather than......

This washer is the most fun you can have doing laundry. I love it. The clothes come out so clean and almost dry. It uses less water so it saves on the water bill. Less soap, another saving, and by being almost dry less energy. I can't say enough about it. Love doing wash now....
