he Lg washer saves water and gets clothes clean I noted moisture in the tub right away .but it didnt seem like a big problem just wipe it out after u r done or leave the door open was my thought it never promised that it did all your thinking for u to me it is obvious that moisture will cause mildew and the moisture is notisable and easy to wipe out. I would not toss mine out for that reason
...

We have used our LG WM2233H Front Load Washer for over six months. After reading the reviews that concerned mold I was careful to never leave the door closed when not in use. After a few months and following all the maintainance and cleaning instructions, the clothes, especially hand and bath towels, smelled moldy with the slightest wetness. The machine does not smell but the clothes do. We have had two factory service calls from LG's recommended repair shops. The 3rd appliance shop, who was supposed to perform a "courtesy clean" failed to show for our appointment . This courtesy clean requires hours to dissemble the unit and was the last step before they would consider replacing the unit. If they choose to replace the unit, I will request a top-loader which LG does ot make for the American market.
...

I purchased the LG washer stated above and just love it. I never minded doing laundry, but now, it's so easy and fast. We save energy and water, not to mention time. My kids even enjoy helping out. They like to watch the clothes go round and round. Talk about free entertainment. Our clothes are now cleaner, fresher and seems to stay clean for longer periods of time. I have three children and we go through a lot of laundry, clothes, bedding, towels, etc and I am so fortunate to be able to have this washer. I cannot imagine life with anything different. If I could make a wish, I would wish for many households to have this washer to help make lives easier and laundry more enjoyable. Life is too short to spend hours and hours on laundry. Why not make it easier and use an LG washer. I only wish I would have purchased one sooner. It cost a little more, but it has been worth it and in the long run, it will have paid for itself.
...

I purchased the LG WM2233HS Front loading washer approximately 2 years ago. I also purchased the stand that is optional. There are several things I like abot the washer, but there are also several things I do not like about it. First of all I wonder why they even sell the stand as an option. My washer is like a rocket ship going off when I had it on the pedestal. I actually had the washer replaced initially because they forgot to take out a shipping bracket, and I though there was something severely wrong with it because of how much noise it made. After the new washer came and was set up on the pedestal the noise never went away. Also the washer would walk across the floor so bad, I thought it was going to rip the hoses out of the wall. After removing the pedestal and setting the washer on the ground it was an immediate relief. But with that relief came a new headache. Now my front loading washer sits on the ground and i have to practically sit on the floor to take the clothes out. On...
...

The front load LG washer and dryer are awesome. I have no complaints. Just be careful when purchasing the detergent because the only kind it will take is the he (high efficiency). If you use regular detergent, then there's a big chance something will go wrong with it. Great buy and saves lots of water. Talk to someone at that department to get more questions answered. ...

Not only is my LG front load washer reliable and durable it looks like a piece of art...I mean it it is beautiful. I splurged and bought the stainless steel set and it was worth every penny. I have two teenagers and I am able to do large loads of jeans..towels..etc without over crowding. The clothes always come out clean. This washer has feature I really like and use often... it is a tub cleaner, it keeps your wash tub freah and clean.
...

I purchased this LG front loading washer a couple of months ago. Great performance and features. The only drawbacks are a musty odor if you do not make sure the seals are dry after use. I dry them with a towel and leave open for a while. It is also very noisy during the spin cycle which may due to the fact that I also purchased the pedestal. I have been more than happy with this purchase....

I bought the LG washer after moving to my new house in July 2008. I had read reviews and blogs online about various front loaders. I have to admit I was a little nervous about spending a lot of money for a washing machine. So far I am pleased with my purchase but I have also learned a lot.

You must clean the rubber seal in the washer every two to four weeks. I have also learned to check the rubber seal every time I wash. My husband left some nails in his pocket which ended up trapped in the rubber seal. This resulted in occluding the little holes in the front which led to a small trickle of water under the washer door. You should also clean your washer every two to three months on the sanitize mode with vinegar especially if you have hard water. Leave the washer door open overnight to dry the washer drum at least once a month to avoid odors. Wipe the inside bottom of the washer door so a film will not build up and create a small water leak. Remove and clean your filter every...
...

My old washing machine and dryer were 21 years old and never had a problem with either one. Washer was leaking, dryer was perfect but I felt if I was going to buy new, it might as well be both. I saw those front loaders and thought "Wow". But I was worried about reliability. I wanted to make the right choice so I signed up to Consumer Reports and found out that this was rated #1. I decided to take the plunge. Mine set is cherry red and when the men delivered the set, and they were sitting outside on my driveway with the sun hitting them, they looked magnificent. (I never thought I would say that about a washer/dryer).

I couldn't wait to do the laundry! So far I've had them a few months and I love them. The clothes are cleaner, they aren't fading as fast as they were in the old agitator machine. I've followed instructions that say to keep machine open after use so it can dry and as a result I have no mildew smell. My biggest complaint would be you can't add clothes...
...

I have the WM2277HW Model washer. Also purchased the dryer as a stackable set. I have had them well over a year now. I hate both. My whites are now grey. I even ordered the German brand of laundry soap, Persil over the internet. Suppose to be recommended for front load machines.. especially German. Stains do not come out unless I spot and scrub before I wash. Never had to do that with my 22 year old machine. The washer does not dispense the bleach during the sanitary cycle which was the main reason I purchased the machine. Best Buy replaced the machine once for this but the second machine does the same thing. They finally told me the sanitary cycle did not need bleach the water was hot enough. They meaning Best Buy. So I was stuck with the machine as far as they were concerned. Called the manufacturer. They sent two different repair men. The first was a joke. The second put a new mother board in and it still does the same thing (or does not do the same thing). Just as a tidbit...
...

I own the LG WM2233H front load washer and I hate it. I have been using the machine since the end of April. It is now August. I started noticing a mildew smell on my clothes and in the drum itself. Worse than that my friends were noticing the smell on my towels first then my workout clothes, now everything! At first I thought I was doing something wrong so I threw out most of my towels and my workout gear. That was a mistake.......all the new items I bought are already smelly! When you pay this kind of money for a product you should expect it to work, but it doesn't. What a piece of garbage! I wish I had my old washer back.
...
