munchkinminder says "very dissapointed " about LG Refrigerator - LFX25950SB

I was so excited when we purchased our new refridgerator. I love the look but there is not as much space as you think there is. I had much more room in my side by side. To begin with, the Ice maker is in the left door so that elimates all of your inside shelf space in the door except for 1 very small shelf at the very bottom of the door. The doors have to get a good push to close, you can't just swing them shut like other refridgerators. The Ice maker is so cramped that the arm gets buried under cubes so it does not shut off when full. The motor starts making horrible noises like it is going to burn up. When you open the icemaker door inside the fridge to check it out ice cubes go flying all over the kitchen. My cats love that part of it, they start batting them around like hockey pucks. Then the freezer drawer. If you don't keep much in there it is fine, but the more you put in there the more difficult is is to find anything, because everything gets piled on top of everything else....
...

MsHH says "Not worth the money" about LG Refrigerator - LFX25950SB

When we bought this refrigerator, I thought I'd love it, but I actually hate it! Having the drawer on the bottom seemed like a great idea, and having the ice maker in the drawer also seemed like a good one, but what I find happening is that, whenever I need to get ice cubes out, I end up with ice cubes on the floor, falling down the back of the drawer, and everywhere except where I need it to be. Also, the drawer tends to fill up, and you have NO clue as to what's at the bottom of it. I'm not organized enough to make a list of what the drawer's contents are, so I tend to lose food to freezer burn. The inside of the fridge itself is extremely roomy, but the shelf supports are huge... and make it hard to put anything "oversized on the shelves, especially since the top shelf is pretty crammed in my fridge with jars of all kinds of sauces, jams, etc. I'm so disappointed in this fridge that I will NOT be taking it with me when I finally sell the house... it's going to be a free gift...
...

This model is a lot better than a standard side by side. The french doors add so much room for extra storage.

The only drawback is the icemaker does not dispense ice well and it doesn't hold a lot of ice. Also, the water dispenser is hard to activate at times and the water comes out slowly.
...

Islander says "Attractive and Efficient for a modern kitchen" about LG Refrigerator - LFX25950SB

This unit replaces a GE side by side that served us well for 21 years. After that long with the same setup it was difficult at first to know how to arrange items for similar access because there was more door shelves and more compartments.

I like the idea of an additional water filter at the ice maker as well.

It is very user friendly and seems to fit the needs of our household.
...
