The LG Chocolate is a excellent phone. It is a slider phone, which prevents accidental calling while the phone is in your pocket or purse. The phone also has a decent size screen which provides easy to read numbers and texts. The camera is also very good. It allows the user to zoom in and out and then save either as a contact picture, background, or just saved to the phone. It also has an excellent media package. You can play music and video. The screen and sound quality is very good. The battery life on the phone last longer than other phones I've used in the past. Although when you use the video, music, or game options the battery does not seem to last as long. This phone is also able to connect to verizon internet. From there you can access sports information, weather and other suck services. It's a nice feature but a little limiting. If you want a phone with full internet access this is not the phone for you. In addition to be a good phone the price is also very reasonable
...

The LG Chocolate is easy enough to use. The only downfall is that sometimes when you are using the phone it is easy to hit another button with your face while talking. This can be a pain, but is minor compared to the benefits the phone has to offer. It takes great pictures, has no problems with signal, sends text messages efficiently. Great phone!
...

It was a good phone at first. It was free with a 2 year agreement. I liked that it was small and could fit into your pocket and that it comes in different colors. I owned it for around 15 months. It worked well for the first 10 months then it started acting up. It ends calls and calls people on its own. Some times the buttons and the wheel do not work. It takes like 20 tries to get it to work. It gets very frusterating. The battery does not last long at all. I talk about 2 1/2 hours a day and I have to charge it every night. Some times the keys dont lock on it. Service on it is very good though. Also, the sound is very quiet unless you have it right at your mouth. I never tried the internet because it is too expensive to use. I usually have problems checking my email that you hit keys with your face when listening to it and it sends you to a different screen and then you have to start all over again.
...

I recently upgrade my cell phone through Verizon Wireless. I am not technically challenged, however, I am not one for all the fancy, smancy gadgets either. I did not desire all the "bells and whistles" most phones come equiped with these day. The perfect one for me was the LG Chocolate. It had the three most important things that I require for my personal cell phone. It had the camera (which takes good pictures, by the way), which I desired for the purpose of taking pictures in emergency situations. It had speaker capability, needed for talking and doing dishes and may other chores at the same time and it had a clarity of reception that I found remarkable. My old phone, which I loved and had been using for four years, started "cutting out" or becoming staticy. I know some people who called me must have thought I was in need of a hearing aid. The LG Chocolate has provided me with great service and I will keep it until it quits.
...

tendernesstour says "The Worst Phone I have Ever Owned. Period. " about LG - Chocolate Cell Phone

The LG Chocolate has been, by far, my worst cell phone experience ever and, in fact, was a primary contributor to my recently leaving my longtime wireless network, Verizon.

Almost immediately, my 1st generation LG Chocolate began giving me fits with buttons that didn't work and awkward handling. The keyboard frequently self-directed and frequently even the phone's ringer would not work and the phone's frequent malfunctions rendered it useless much of the time.

After several months of returning to the retail outlet to have the phone adjusted, I was finally offered another phone due to the fact the LG Chocolate was still under warranty. Unfortunately, they simply replaced the phone with the same phone and, again, the LG Chocolate began malfunctioning with many of the same malfunctions occurring once again.

Verizon has assured me that subsequent generations of the LG chocolate have improved, and the one positive I can say is that with two other versions now available it is doubtful you...
...

darlinanna40 says "Not my favorite phone in the world, but it'll do!" about LG - Chocolate Cell Phone

I have had my chocolate since around Christmas time, and the first thing I do not like about it is that it slides, which I thought I would like at first, until I figured out that I was hanging up on too many people on accident. The second thing I do not like about this phone is the laser buttons on the face of the phone near the earpiece. I do most of my bill paying on my phone, and every time I try to put in my pin numbers or info they need, I accidentally hit one of those stupid buttons. Also, the mute button is located on the same area of the phone, so when I am talking to someone, almost always either the speaker turns on, or the mute button turns on. This is so annoying to me! The LG Chocolate phone from Verizon would not be one of my favorite picks when it comes to cell phones, nor would I recommend it to any of my friends or family. Unfortunately, I have to keep mine for another year and a half before I can get something else, unless of course i would like to pay about $99-$199...
...

The LG Chocolate has everything that a soccer mom needs in regards to ensuring that you get your soccer player to the game/practice on time and safely by using the GPS feature. Not only does it show you the route but it also talks you through it step by step. With the audio directions there is no need to take your eyes off the road, which ensures safety of the driver and passengers. With the most updated version of the GPS, it will notify you of traffic situations ahead with enough time to make a decision if you want to ask it for an alternate route. The video feature could be a little better in regards to the length of each video you are allowed to take. The picture feature, the quality could be a little better in picture quality. At the same time I like the fact that you can attach a picture to each contact number to personalize your phone more, including attaching a song to each contact to help you determine whether you want to answer the phone call or let it go to voice...
...

ruthtuna says "LG Chocolate is just Ok" about LG - Chocolate Cell Phone

The LG Chocolate is just an Ok phone. There isn't anything really very special about it. It slides up allowing access to the keypad. The keypad is very small and I often end up hitting the wrong number. Especially a problem with long nails! Sometimes I have to cut them just to use the phone. The front has a touch pad that I dont really care for. Yes it is harder to "butt dial" someone because it requires skin to touch the pad in order to work, but that also means you cant make it work if you have gloves on (during the winter months this is a pain). It doesn't have anything fancy on it like games or anything. I also dont care for the alarm feature too much. It is way too easy to accidentally turn off because of the touch pad. You have to hit it exactly right for the snooze to go into affect. This can be a problem for those of us who need their snooze time! Personally I prefer a flip phone and one without the touch pad or screen.
...

LSanders2314 says "The Chocolate is stylish, but not always very functional." about LG - Chocolate Cell Phone

The Chocolate comes in quite a few stylish colors so a person shouldn't have a problem finding one to fit their personality. I personally chose the baby blue color and it is my favorite thing about the phone. The phone is small enough to easily fit in your pocket. The sliding front makes sure keys aren't mistakenly pushed. The downfalls of this phone however include: it freezes often so you have to keep hitting a button on the phone until it unfreezes. The iPod like turning scroll on the front is very sensitive even if you have it set on the least sensitive setting. And while talking on the phone it's very easy to hit the speakerphone or mute buttons accidently. The battery life indicator is not very accurate either. The display will indicate I have almost a full battery, then after talking on the phone for a few minutes it will have diminished to almost no battery life only to recover to an almost full charge a few minutes later. I never really know how charged the battery is. In addition,...
...

the chocolate does come in the most gorgeous colors but the screen keys are way too sensitive and the dial pad is hard metal that easily chips and loses its paint job.
