I brought my 42" Aug. 2007. loved it,,but the sound board has already went out...will cost $450.00 to get fixed.......and they are on back order so that tells me I'm not the only one that had this problem.....really mixed feelings at this time....

by comparison the lg televisions are becaming the best brand for lcd televisions out

there not only for the price but quality all other well not brands rely to much in there name

for forget about quality and pricing.

This television has the most awesome picture ever!!! I have never owned a television that was a clear as this one. The sound is impeccable. I will never buy another brand of television again!!! Hopefully I will not have to buy another television for a long time, but if and when I do, it will be the same brand as I have now, just the more updated version because we all know that everything always gets better.

I bought the 42" flat screen LG tv with HDTV although my satellite signal is not HD. As long as you are sitting the recommended distance from the tv, the picture is amazing, even in regular AV mode. If you are sitting too close, the picture may be a little grainy, but not bad. With movies that are HD, when you put it on HD mode, the picture is to die for (regardless of how close you sit). My boyfriend was drooling all over himself when we watched the first HD movie and all of my brother's friends (about 19 years old) want to come over to my house to watch tv, or a movie, or the game, or whatever! The price was a little high (around $1,100), but I believe you get what you pay for and hopefully, it will last longer than some of the cheaper brands....

This is a well manufactured 42" LCD flat screen. Came in the box all set up and ready to go. Only one F connector cable included so if you need HDMI, DVI, composite or component plan on getting them seperate. Let's start with the price. It's about $1300 MSRP. Anything under $ 1000 is a good deal. Remember tax may be added and that can add a chunk of change to the price. If you order it on-line you may avoid the tax but probably will pay shipping. Personally i don't like the shipping monkeys tossing around my 50 pound 42" plastic LCD so i tend to buy locally, so if there is a problem i can return it with no problems. Ok, now the quality!!! It's black shiny plastic which seems pretty durable.Comes with a special antistatic cleaning cloth to keep it shiny. Base doesn't swivel. Side and rear connections and buttons are good quality but connections in rear come straight out so could be a problem with some wall mounts. Universal remote control is pretty good. Good button layout and actually......
