kamblondy says "This is an awesome toy" about Kong Dog Toy

This Kong toy has got to be the most durable toy that I have ever come across. I have an American Cocker Spaniel with little teeth. He enjoys getting his treats out of the Kong, it really passifies his time. My mother has a American Foxhound that can tear up any toy within minutes. You give the foxhound what you think is a solid chew toy and he will have the tail or head of instantly. The complete opposite is true with any of the Kong toys. This is the only toy we can give this male Foxhound and not find pieces of it all over the room minutes later. This toy is the best at holding up to those big teeth. He also loves when you throw it and it bounces all around. This make great fun for play time. It also take him some amount of time before he can get the treat that is stashed inside the Kong to come out. This was the best toy investment I could have made for my mothers dog. I would highly recommend this to any dog owner, especially the larger dogs.
...

rosie345 says "The Kong is the only toy my power-chewer poodle can't destroy!" about Kong Dog Toy

My little poodle LOVES her medium Kong! She's our first dog, and she's just a little poodle, so I thought we could give her any chew toy. Not so! She's a power-chewer! She also likes a challenge. The KONG is the ONLY rubber toy that she can play with, try to get food out of, and not destroy! (She can even chew through the toys made from thick rubber tires!) With the KONG, I can fill it with peanut butter and freeze it or stuff it with crunchy treats. She will sprawl out on the floor with the KONG in front of her and lick away! As I said, you can freeze it. You can wash it in the dishwasher. Once the food is gone, she likes to grip it in her teeth and then fling it around like a ball. It bounces in funny directions because of its shape. It's like the perfect toy! We actually have two so that there's always one being washed, and another one being enjoyed by our little power-chewer!!! I recommend the KONG toy to ANY dog lover!
...

minimusicalmouse says "Kongs are for chewers" about Kong Dog Toy

I have two Puggles, Pug and Beagle, and they love their Kongs. I bought two Kongs on the same day from the same pet store. One Kong was destroyed in roughly three weeks, while the other is still being chewed on to this day. The Kong that was destroyed was chewed up by my younger pup who at the time was still cutting his baby teeth. He some how begin ripping off the layers of the Kong. I am not sure if for some reason it was weaker, they are the same color - black, but it just seemed to come apart much more easily. Once my pup ripped off the top layer, the Kong began to come apart in small pieces that my dog could then swallow. This turned out to cause my dog some digestive issues. I know as a pet owner it is my responsibility to care for my pet, but I was slightly disappointed that the Kong, which is meant for chewers, would break into piece like that so easily. I truly believe the above mentioned Kong may have been defective because as I previously mentioned, the other is still being chewed....
...

luckieduckie427 says "The ONLY toy that is indestructible for dogs that CHEW!" about Kong Dog Toy

So we got a puppy about 1 1/2 years ago, and tried TONS of toys over the months and spent HUNDREDS of dollars only to learn that she can tear them apart in seconds. We bought her the kong for puppies as a little one and it's actually still in one peice although she has since moved to the large black Kong.

She loves these! We have 2 of them because we freeze them with peanut butter for a cool summer treat and distraction. She loves to show them to our friends when they come over and takes them room to room.

They are very durable and easy to clean. I use a bottle brush to clean out extra peanut butter. We have had them for about a year and they still look pretty new, although on these ones she doesn't sit and destructively chew on it because it is still a little large for her mouth.

The only minor problem, is that it is kinda heavy and I have had one dropped on my bare feet a time or two and that doensn't feel so nice!
...

rafinracing says "The kong was the best toy for my dog!" about Kong Dog Toy

As a devoted dog owner I not only want the best thing for my dogs who I view as my children but to get the best value for my money. The Kong was defintitly both! My Rottweiler Xena is very rough on her toys and with any toy no matter of much I spend on it is in shreds in about five minutes which leaves her with nothing to play with and a mess to clean up. But a few months back I bought her a black Kong from Petsmart and it's still in one piece and being enjoyed by her still. She loves to wrestle the treat out of it which keeps her busy and keeps her from taking her bordeom out on my shoes and other things in the house and despite her large teeth she has yet to bite into it. It has lasted longer than any other toy and I would be willing to spend much more on because it's worth it. I have told many fellow dog owners about it and have even added it to one of my forums on a dog owner website I pertain to.
...

No doubt, this is the best money I've ever spent on a dog toy! And I've spent plenty over the years. I purchased one of these Kong toys for my lab puppy, who I knew would love it but I had my doubts whether it was indestructable (at least by her)! It's been almost a year now and this toy is still going strong. It shows a few teeth marks but is still fully intact. She loves it when I fill it with peanut butter or cheese and it provides her with a solid hour of entertainment. I wash it up and it's ready to use again. In fact, I had to purchase another one for my basset hound so they don't fight over it! The basset hound who rarely plays with any kind of toys and never has, but absolutely loves this one (filled with peanut butter or cheese, of course)! This is by far the best dog toy/product I've ever bought. Although it is a little pricier than some other products out there, it is well worth the money and my dogs have yet to tire of playing with it. It would recommend...
...

Every dog should have a Kong!! We originally got the heavy chewer Kong when she was a pup and pups looooove to chew! She's loved it from day one! When they're pups the Kong bounces around and entertains them for a little while. Now that she's over a year old she knows her Kong by name. She loves the liver flavored treats that go inside.
...

I own several dogs, either from rescue groups or otherwise-2 Doberman and 3 Minpins. I also have a Himalayan cat. Long toys were recommended to me by one of the rescue groups. I admit, I was a bit leery, but once I purchased a couple of them, I definitely changed my mind. Two of my dogs are puppies and the other three are 3 years old. I purchased chew toys, tuggy type toys and balls for the dogs and they LOVE them. The puppies are pretty rough with chewing because they are getting their adult teeth, but they don't break the Kong toys. One of the dobermans weighs 115 lbs....yea, she is a big girl, but so gentle. She loves having a ball thrown to her and then bringing it back to you. She will do this for 2 hours. The Kong balls have held up so well. It's pretty funny to see a doberman and a minpin tugging together, but they do. The Kong toys may seem a bit more expensive and aren't available as much as other toys, but they are worth every cent. Kong toys do not...
...
