this camera is good for people who are just getting started. i bought this when i joined my digital photography course in college and it was great especially for the types of projects we had to do. it wasn't to technical, with alot of buttons and it was easy to learn how to use. im a major technical person so i picked it up quick and it was my first digital camera. i loved how clear the pictures came out, i was worried they were going to look pixalled and fuzzy. i was able to start a small part time business with that camera i took pictures at a few events. i like how it fits in my hand and its not heavy. now i will be honest its not great for being a professional photographer but it is good for the smaller events like graduations, baby showers, and birthday parties. the only other little problem i had with the camera was if i didn't use energizer batteries the charge wouldn't last long, but thats not a big issue. i loved my camera, and since i had to upgrade to something a little more...

We've had this camera for four years, and it's never given us any problems (until recently). I was slow getting into digital. This camera was easy to learn to use. It takes excellent pictures, has a several different settings you can change to your needs. You can change the shutter speed up to an 8 second exposure. It's a great point and shoot. Now the problem we have with it is it won't focus on anything. The auto focus doesn't seem to be working at all. Every picture turns out blurry. The more I zoom in, the worse it is. There was never any issue at with it until then.

This is the absolute BEST camera I have owned to date. I recieved my Kodak Easy Share Z740 camera and printer for Christmas about 9 years ago and it is still producing the most amazing pictures. It is easy to use with it many features. You can utilize the auto set features and the camera does all the work or you can manually adjust the settings to achieve that perfect shot. My favorite feauture is the "children in action" setting. It captures that perfect moment of childhood memories without the blurring effect when they move. I have been most impressed with its longevity and durability. It has been The only thing I have replaced in the 9 years is the battery pack once. The printer dock doubles as a charging system which is a definate plus. You can recharge the camera while printing the photos. It also comes with a USB cord to connect ot the laptop to quickly download the pictures.

About 3 years ago, I searched for a camera that would meet most, if not all of my requirements. My goal was to be able to take fabulous pictures of wildlife, and still be far enough away that 1) they looked natural and 2)we didnt have to fear being eaten. We picked out the Kodak Z740. It was inexenspive, had great optical zoom, lightweight and easy to hold.

We took our first outing to Estes Park, Rocky Mountain national forest. I was able to capture litters of coyote puppies doing a community nurse, on several moms. In the same instance, I also was able to get a great picture of an Elk chasing a coyote! We were very far away, and the camera does tend to get a little shaky at the 12x zoom. My coyote pictures were slightly out of focus, but definitely viewable. It made me immensley happy!

What Ive discovered does the BEST is natural light pictures of our pets. It has a quick take, quick focus, and it allows me to catch active kittens or puppies.

I've had my camera for several years. I've purchased a more expensive camera with more hi-tech features, higher megapixels, and all kinds of cool bells and whistles, but I have to say, I still use my Kodak z740 the most. I love my Kodak Easyshare z740. It is super user-friendly and has great features. I highly recommend it for ease of use as well as great pictures.

We bought this camera 3 years ago, just before our son was born. We also have the docking station printer to go with it. It has had lots of use... probably 1500-2000 pictures taken, and it is still going strong.

I have always been impressed with the zoom feature because it not only has the optical zoom, but a digital zoom as well. Now that Kodak is producing larger multifunction printers with great photo printing, I would consider buying one of those instead of having the docking station. Seems like that would be more cost effective.

The image quality on this camera is really good and the software that helps you download, edit and manage pictures has been very reliable and easy to use. Id actually consider it on par with our Adobe Photoshop Elements and actually it has been less "buggy" than the Adobe software.

The camera is quite easy to use and may be bigger than some of the other cameras on the market, but I think the quality and features are worth the larger size.

this camera is awesome as far as capability and conveinience goes. i would like a little more pixels though. sometimes the photo comes out awesome, but with a grainy texture to it. it is convienient as far as shape and durability goes. i have dropped it a million times, but it hasnt broken. the lcd screen is large and very clear. this camera has a tendency to take the photo seconds after i push the button though. i want it to take the picture as soon as i take push the button....i take pictures of animals often, and they dont sit still. i want it to take it that very second that i take the picture. it would be nice to be able to take a series of photos too. i like that it takes action shots, but again...doesnt take them when i want them take. it takes really nice night photos, something my old camera did not do. i can mess with the settings and take some really artistic shots.

The Kodak Easyshare Z740 was my second camera i bought for myself. I was tired of poor quality of my very first camera so i found the Z740 one day as i shopping with family members at our locate wal mart supercenter store. everything about this item screamed own me.

5.0 megapixels(2576 × 1932 pixels)Picture quality5.0 MP-best (prints up to 20 × 30 in. (50 × 75 cm)) - i have on 5.0 for those image that you real want be sharp

4.4 MP-best 3:2 (optimized ratio for 4 × 6 in. (10 x 15 cm) prints) - i have found this setting is good for outdoors.

4.0 MP-better (prints up to 11 × 14 in. (28 x 36 cm)) - you just want a good shot, use this setting.

The Kodak Easyshare Z740 is one of the nicest camera's I have ever owned.

I have wanted to venture out to try my ability at photography and this camera makes it so easy to just point and shoot. Although it is missing the image stablization, it has the ability to take very "up close" pictures without the blur.

I sell a lot of things on Ebay and this is the only camera that I use to take my pictures as it is very important to have the ability to take up close pictures of the item I am selling.

If you need to have the image stabilization, then using a tripod will help with this. Even leaving the tripod piece on the camera works, leaving your camera tripod ready when you need it.

This camera also has the sepia tone and the ability to record video, which is nice in a pinch when you don't want to drag along a camcorder and still want to be able to record an event.

It is a bit large so it is not a camera that you can just stick into your pocket, but for those times when you know you want...

When I originally bought this camera, the price was still around $300 new. It has many great features like a card slot for memory expansion and too many automatic settings to list. It does lack image stabilization and, when using the extreme zoom, causes the pictures to pixelate (get blocky) when you decrease the picture size. I have found, too, that even when I pre-focus an image, the shutter lag is still too long to actually get the shot I want. For everyday photos, this camera is good. If you want to try doing any creative or action shots, I'd recommend skipping this one....

I love this my Kodak easyshare z740. the pictures are great. it has so many settings and options for different types of pictures. black and white, sepia, etc. also indoors, outdoors, text, children moving in bright light, landscape, distant scenery, etc.

the zoom is great. you can get very close up on your subject.

it isn't as small as a lot of digital camera are, but the size is just right for me. it can't fit in my pocket, but it is very light and the camera bag is a good size.

the viewing window is a good size to see your pictures as you take them. then you can delete any you don't want to keep room on your memory card.

uploading the pictures is so easy.
