I purchased one of these cameras at a clearence sale and I absolutly love it. It has many settings, takes great pictures, fit's into purse or pocket for when we are out and about which is all the time. We had an earlier version of Kodak's easy share that is very durable and the kids still use and we hope that the V530 which has double the pixels holds up just as well. So far we are very happy.
...

op3nup says "Kodak Easyshare V530 is easy to use" about Kodak - EasyShare V530

Kodak Easyshare V530 I have been useing this camera for more than a year and I find it to be easy to use, in a average setting with plenty of light. In the dark it is useless the flash doesn't carry more than a few feet. Outside it is perfect as almost every camera I have ever used has been. Indoors with almost any light behind the subject you get a very bright light behind subject and not a good picture of what you want.

The computer software that comes with the camera is very easy to use. Loading pictures to computer couldn't be easier. Put camera in base and push one button, that is it.

Picture manipulation is also very easy. Crop, enlarge and change from light to dark, are all right there. you can keep the original and keep the changed picture.

Printing the pictures is also an easy operation. choose the pictures to print and follow simple on screen instruction to get great pictures.

all in all I have to say for someone like myself who want's pictures of GrandChildren...
...

hyperaktivated says "I would have expected more from a brand called KODAK" about Kodak - EasyShare V530

I got this camera for Christmas 2 years ago. Its not a bad little camera. I actually had a Fuji Finepix that I liked well enough at the time, but I saw a sale on the Kodak and it looked like it would be technically a bettter camera, which I thought would help me take better photos. Turns out I should have kept the FinePix, because the Kodak Easyshare is just average at best.

The flash is too slow. The actual photo taking capability is waaaay too slow. The only thing this is good for is your average holiday family photo session. Even too slow for snapping pix at my kids sporting events... all i ever get are random blurs, or miss the shot alltogether while the first one is saving or whatever it is doing that always takes so long.

I have bought faster, expensive memory cards and more powerful batteries but to no avail. Also, even the color quality is lacking compared to my old Fuji. I guess it's my own fault... I saw the Kodak name and expected Kodak color and Kodak quality. ...
...

the Kodak Easy Share Camera is my favorite camera so far. It's easy to use and is compatable with Windows Vista Media and Windows XP. If asked to come up with one bad thing to say about it, I don't think I could do it. It has sharing capabilities built right into it. So with a push of a button i can send it to all of my friends and family. It's also relatively durable and when you have a bunch of kids running around, durability is a must. You can also take short videos and black and white pictures as well. We have had this camera for quite awhile and have had no problems with it at all. I would recommend this camera to anyone that asked. It's an especially good buy for families on a budget. It works flawlessly every time. We will not be in the market to replace this camera for some time to come. We recently bought my daughter an inexpensive off-brand digital camera and I have to say it's not worth it. She is always using my Kodak instead. So in ending if you're looking for an economical...
...

My husband bought the Kodak Easy Share v530 for me for Valentine's Day over three years ago. Yes, it has slowed down in its capability to hold a charge (though it is still fine), but other than that, it is going strong and I will be very sad when it dies. I love the fact that it can charge by being plugged in rather than having to constantly replace batteries. You can protect your pictures from deletion with a simple few clicks of the camera's buttons, easily review or delete your pictures with aptly labeled "review" and "delete" buttons, change the level of megapixels, use auto, no, or forced flash, use different types of shots like close-up, dark, fireworks, etc, and easily load your pictures onto a computer with the easy share plug-in thing (that comes with the camera) or simply removing an SD card. I love this camera with its appropriately name of "easy share." I have a hard time figuring out other digital cameras, and this one, I hardly had to read the directions. HIGHLY recommend!...
...

This is a great camera! Light weight, so easy to use. The Kodak Easy Share V530 is the perfect first digital camera. I love the easiness of operating this camera. You can edit pictures, crop a picture right on the camera without having to download to your computer.

It is really easy to hook up to the computer and upload your pictures and the software that comes with it is so easy to use.

This camera is very durable mine has been dropped many times by the grandkids. It keeps on working. Kodak has always made great products.

The zoom is great, I love for the ball games, and parties for the kids.

I am looking to buy another Kodak maybe a little more powerful, I know it will be great too.

I keep it in my purse so I have it with me all the time. I took it to a Princess Breakfast at church for the little girls. Everyone else had the bigger SLR cameras, when the pictures came back mine where as nice as everyone elses.
...

I got this computer 2 years ago for $250.00. kodak v530 digital camera

I got it and the first problem I had with it, first of all I use date stamp on every photo, so like I said the first problem I had that the Date on the camera RESETED itself every single time I turned the camera off. Sometimes I didnt notice it, and I was left on the computer, cropping the date stamp off and guessing and adding dates manually pictures by pictures, I contacted Kodak, I sent it in to them for repair, they sent it back, stating that there was no problem with the camera... And I still have the same problem to date. Second problem, the Battery on this camera dosn't last a thing, I had to purchase a second battery, and still Im left with a dead camera on any trip, even dough I use it at the lowest lcd brightnes and I put the camera in battery saver... dosnt make any differance... Third problem... All of the sudden all the screws fell off the camera... The whole camera body is holded by 2 screws, and theres...
...

I got this camera because of its size (tiny!) and the price. I now have a new camera because this one fell apart. The screws came out of the camera (which also happened to my sister in law who has the same camera). The battery lasts maybe 30 minutes. I had to buy extra and they aren't cheap. The camera has a lot of settings and features but the pictures aren't the best. There are a lot of similar cameras out there, buy one of those!...

While the screen view sans old-fashioned viewfinder takes some getting used to, overall, this is a wonderful, compact camera. It can stretch the life of the battery to film much longer video clips than previous cameras that I have owned, and pictures generally turn out crisp and clear. Sometimes the image stablizer goes a bit awry, but this is usually an easy fix. Great size, too, fits in a purse or pocket without being too large and cumbersom....

This camera has been wonderful. I have taken it to Disney World twice, more than a few concerts, out on walks and have used it as our family camcorder in the two years I've owned it. It's small enough to fit in my pocket, and since it takes inexpensive SD cards for memory, I can carry along extras. Video isn't limited to any length, it's just limited by how much memory you have so I take lots and later crop out still images for the photo album. I don't print bigger than 8x10 pictures, so the resolution is fine for me - I may upgrade to a newer version of the same camera in the future but for now this one works fine....
