I created and purchased 11 calendars for Christmas presents. When I received the calendars in the mail, they were printed incorrectly because of an issue Kodak was having with a specific font that they had available. I was presently surprised when they credited me for reordering them and even upgraded me to 2-3 day shipping so that I would have them before Christmas. When I went through with the purchase, I was charged almost $12 in taxes. When I questioned being credited for the taxes, they responded that they could not credit me for this being that they do not charge it. Needless to say, because they screwed up my order, I was caused to incur another $12 so they could correct it and appear like they are rendering GREAT customer service. Go with another company who is willing to accept their mistakes and correct them at their cost, not their customers.

I have created and sent my own Christmas cards for the last 3 years. I like to shop around for good prices and coupon codes to get a good deal. This year my choice was hands down Kodak Gallery!!

I took my pictures and was able to upload them in one shot, as opposed to one by one uploads of other photo sites.

There were 100's of card designs to choose from - which made it really hard to pick just one! There are several good photo editing options; red eye fix and cropping are the typical ones, effects like black/white, sepia are there. But then Kodak has a nifty feature where they can enhance the colors in your photo to make them brighter, or soften them for a dreamy effect. You can add the fun borders to your pictures as well.

Once you choose the pictures and layout of your card (which come in 4x6 and 5x7 sizes; either landscape or portrait), you can change any of the text/add your own, change text colors and font etc.

The cards can be ordered in sets of 10. The cards I chose were 6.99 per...

I used the clumsy and cumbersome but functional free Kodakgallery service for a couple of years without a major problem, until they arbitrarily changed their storage policy to require periodic purchases of photos to keep your pictures. They gave me a 2 month deadline to make a purchase, otherwise my photos would be deleted. I protested, arguing that I did not wish to purchase photos and that it was not fair to simply change the terms of their sevice like that. They ignored my protests and deleted my photos anyway. I believe this was unethical and perhaps illegal, but it is such a small matter its not worth pursuing.

Because of this negative experience I DO NOT recommend this service. Moreover, personally I will never buy or recommend ANY Kodak products again. There are certainly more ethical vendors out there.

Kodakgallery.com has the best customer service. They recently changed their website layout. I had ordered photos that I wasn't 100% satisfied with, so I sent them an email. They promptly refunded my money, gave me a credit to my account, and a coupon for my next purchase. I didn't expect them to do all that, but it was very nice of them! The color quality of the pictures are great, but with my order, I didn't like the way some of the photos were cropped.

Trusted these people with many pix and once i had two album disappear because i have not opened them in 6 months. Meanwhile, i was logging in and checking all my other albums.

I was angry to find this. 2030 Photos all vanished. On top of that, i don't have doubles for most of them.

I called to tell them about my issue only to find out they don't even back up these pictures. In their user agreement it states that they are not responsible for lost or damaged photos.

I have used Kodak Gallery extensively over the past 5 years for a repository and distribution method of journaling more than 10,000 travel photos. Prior to a couple of years ago it worked great for me, both at the uploading and the distribution end. But with a cut-over a couple of years ago to an all Adobe Flash slide-show facility, this pretty much killed the usability of it for me and particularly on the viewer end of things. From the performance side, my viewing audience took a hit with the new Adobe Flash slide-show requiring a full initial download of the entire album in order to present it. At the higher resolution of today's digital cameras and with a major portion of my audience still on dial-up or with older hardware, I immediately lost all of that section of my audience. Then with the elimination of captions in normal HTML at the bottom of the photo, on the new Flash slide-show a single line of the caption was all that was displayed. The Kodak Gallery Easyshare site itself is fine & so are the products, but they require a purchase every 12 month (4.99 if you have less that 2gb & 19.99 if you have more than 2gb of pictures). Shutterfly has just as many products & they are great quailty as well & they NEVER delete your pictures or require a purchase. Google allows you to store pics for free as well & use your choice of retailers/websites to print them.

I just think there are better options out there - unless of course you don't mind the possibility of losing all your pictures.

Do not use Kodak Gallery! Here's why:

Kodak was a name I trusted. It is a name I grew up with, not only because it is a longstanding brand, but also because I grew up in Rochester, NY, the home of Kodak. Years ago, when I decided to choose an online site to store my pictures, Kodak seemed like the safest option.

I was surprised to receive an email that they were deleting photos unless you purchased a certain amount. I made sure to make a purchase by the deadline, using gift certificate credit. I thought I was all set.

However, I recently checked my account and realized all of my pictures were gone! I was confused, as I clearly remember having made the purchase. When I called customer service, they said my pictures were deleted from their server, and there was nothing they could do for me. I was reminded of the terms and conditions and was then told that a gift certificate purchase did not count towards the minimum purchase requirement. While this may have been stated...

I'm one of those users that stores pics and purchases infrequently, so my photos were hidden unless I buy. I placed an order today hoping that my photos will be restored, but worried that they wont...my mother is gone from this earth and her photos are the ones missing. I'll never use their service again!

The UK/European version of Kodak Gallery (to which I was automatically directed from www.kodak.com.mt) requires you to choose your country/region.

Having done that you are recommended to download a program to easen the upload of photos (different programs for Mac/Win). At least the Mac version of the program doesn’t recognize the account you created, so you have to sign up a new account at kodakgallery.com (instead of the existing one at kodakgallery.eu.com).

That’s as far as I have gotten until now. I’ll add info to the review if something new comes up (and if it is possible to comment/edit an existing review).

Horrible experience with Kodak, Extremely upset with service.
1. By default all pictures you upload are zoomed in an d cropped at the photogallery.
2. Does not warn you where you can change the zoomed in and cropped pictures until your order is placed
3. cannot change your order once it's placed, even if it was placed 2 minutes before the request
4. chat agents are condescending (showing or implying a usually patronizing descent from dignity or superiority)
5. no time frame of when it will be ready for in store pickup in Canada
6. if you get the chance to talk with Matt T, online chat. He simply is the worst peson working there, in terms of being rude and unwilling to help.

Ordering pictures at KODAK..... NEVER AGAIN

What someone else "Shares" a Kodak Gallary album with you; Kodak Gallary; gives you the option to store it with your own Albums... Then at any time you can select your friends name and view / order prints from their old albums just like they were your own.

You don't have to go track down their old email and find the right one... then log into the photo service again etc.
