This printer is affordable yet supprisingly virsitile. the printer was able to do everything i wanted it to do and even more. the printing capablity was surprisingly fast and i like the printing screen feature that tells you everytime you use the printer what your ink level is. not only that , it also has it's own home page were you can edit pictures and documents at your own discression. i've used this printer for over a year now with very little problems. it also has a dock for digital cameras and a memory stick reader so printing pictures or printing anything you want is not hard to do at all weather your are a pro or a begginer it is easy to use. this printer is an all in one unit which means not only does it print but it also scans. weather it is a document or a picture the scanner can be adjusted to colored or even black and white if you wanted to. the ease of use and all the features this has is excellent along with the cheap price of eighty dollars.
...

When I first bought my laptop, I got a coupon for a nice size rebate on a Pixma 6220D, and I went for it. It was the most user "unfriendly" printer I've ever tried. I've always been a HP person, until I bought my first laptop and it was Toshiba, which I love, so I thought I'd jump the lines and go with something other than an HP printer. That Pixma is strictly for photo printing only!! It should be advertised as a docking station. To try and print something else on it, even though it indicated you could, was virtually impossible. Finally after seeing so many ads about how you could save money on just the ink cartridges by going with Kodak, I went to my local box discount store and started looking. For less than a hundred dollars I got the Kodak ESP3, all in one, copier, scanner and printer. Yes, it prints quality photos in various sizes, but you can also scan your existing photos and upload to your computer. If you need a few copies of something to send out with some business...
...

TANKERMOMA says "THE KODAK ESP-3 PRINTER IS EFFICIENT AND THE INK IS INEXPENSIVE!" about Kodak ESP-3

THE KODAK ESP-3 PRINTER IS PRICED RIGHT. THE INK IS INEXPENSIVE AND LASTS LONGER THAN OTHER INK. YOU CAN BUY CHEAPER INK CARTRIDGES FOR THE KODAK ESP-3 PRINTER BUT I HAVE FOUND THE KODAK INK IS THE BEST. THE PICTURE QUALITY IS EXCELLENT.

THE KODAK ESP-3 PRINTER IS EASY TO SET UP WITH THE AVAILABLE CD OR YOU CAN DOWNLOAD SET UP INFO AND DRIVERS FROM THE KODAK WEBSITE. IT IS SIMPLE AND EASY TO USE. YOU CAN ALSO DOWNLOAD UPDATES FOR THE PRINTER FROM THE KODAK WEBSITE. YOU CAN RECEIVE ON-LINE HELP AND TROUBLE SHOOTING IDEAS, AS WELL.

I USE A PRINTER MANY TIMES A DAY IN MY WORK AND HAVE FOUND THIS PRINTER TO BE AN EXCELLENT CHOICE FOR EVERY TASK I NEED COMPLETED. IT PRINTS BEAUTIFUL PICTURES AND PRINTS VERY PROFESSIONAL LOOKING BUSINESS CARDS, LETTERHEADS, LABELS, POSTAGE AND BROCHURES.

THE PRINTING IS RELATIVELY FAST, BUT LIKE MOST DESKTOP PRINTERS IT IS NOT AS QUICK AS I WOULD LIKE FOR IT TO BE. FOR THE PRICE, I FEEL A PERSON COULD NOT GO WRONG BUYING A KODAK ESP-3 PRINTER
...

The Kodak ESP-3 printer

Kodak has done a fantastic job in building a user friendly printer for home use. This printer is easy to use and it does a fantastic job

I've had my printer for about a year now and I have had no problems at all with it. like all printers priodically it will have a paper jam (not very often at all). All you have to do is remove the feed roller assembly from the back of the unit and the paper comes right out.

picture quality is very good, but always use the premium paper. You can get a package of 120 4x6 sheets and a color ink cartridge for about $15.00

ink cartridges are very inexpensive. A package with both color and black cartridges is less than $25.00

When printing just standard documents I always use the advanced settings and change my print to black and white to save my color cartridge and to save money.

This printer does not have a built in screen, but they make others that do. They also make a wireless unit.

It has a usb jack on front for easy...
...

I was sucked in by a great ad online. In the ad they showed a pile of pages that you could expect some other brand of printer to print on average with their ink cartridges. Then they showed a much, much larger pile that the Kodak Esp3 printer would print with their ink cartridges. Now, this pile looked to be atleast three times larger. To further impress consumers they offer their ink at a much reduced price compared to other brands. However, what they advertised and what I got were two different things. I can't believe they got away with that. Yes, the ink's cheaper. NO! It does not print anywhere near the amount of pages they said it would. This printer doesn't even print the amount of pages as they showed the competition does. As far as quality of print, it's average. Another downer, and this is important, is that if your black cartridge runs empty but you still have color ink, you cannot print anymore. No, you cannot just print in color, or vica verca. It...
...

northcascades says "Cheap Ink. Good for students. Printing OK." about Kodak ESP-3

The Kodak ESP-3 printer is a good bet if you just need cheap printing and aren't looking to impress anyone with it. I use it at college because the black ink cartridges are only $10, and obviously my professors aren't too concerned with the quality of the print job. They just want a legible paper to read.

The printer itself tends to be a tad slow. The Kodak software that comes with it is awful. The other main problem with this printer is that it will misfeed if there are only a few sheets of paper left in the tray.

This printer is not supported for Linux users. Mac & Windows only, unfortunately.

I like and am happy with this printer, mostly because I can't afford to spend buckets of money on ink. I would recommend it to anyone who does basic printing. I've never had any problems out of it for the year that I have had it, but I wish it a speedier print. This would be best for students.
...

After very much research and reading reviews, I bought the Kodak ESP-3 printer because it was a little less expensive than the other printers and the ink was very inexpensive. I have only heard good things about Kodak products so I figured I would take a shot at this printer. After only having it 6 months, the printer will work - it will not print at all! I put brand new ink cartridges in it thinking it was the ink that had gone bad. However, even after the new ink was put in, the black ink will not work. It seems like the ink compartment on the printer dried out or something. The color ink will print only. I cannot afford to have it taken into a computer shop; it would probably cost more to do thta then what I paid for it. Additionally, I cannot afford a new printer right now, so I have just done without for several months. I would not suggest this product to anyone because I think it is a waste of money.
...

The Kodak ESP-3 printer is a great printer to have for someone that wants a all in one printer that also does pictures. This printer allows you to use your camera cards directly in the printer to print pictures or to upload to your computer. It was easy to install and instructions were easy to follow. It is alittle more nosier when printing than some I have had, but that is the only thing that I can say that I have found while using the printer. This is really such a small thing I don't really consider it a problem. The ink is so much cheaper than any other printer I have had or even checked on. The ink lasts as long or longer than other brands I have had and it is very easy to install. The ink is seperated in two tanks so you only have to replace the black or the colored when one runs out. I have seen some deals online for the ink but haven't tried any of them. I would recommend the printer to you and would purchase another one if I needed another printer.
...

I started dealing with home printers from the curios corner of the confused, my first encounter, it is out of kindness that I leave the name of that money pit unprinted, left me nearly printer-phobic. I have loved taking pictures and entering them in our local fair, just as a lark, not really expecting any great reviews of my eye of the world, I have humbly found that the judges really like my photos. I have about a 90% blue ribbon reputation going now and am really loving the whole thought of someday becoming a famous photographer, come on now, it is O.K. to dream!

I spent about two years learning the different photo software products out there and I have my favorite, but the printer is what I am talking about now so I will leave the software for later, but just touching on it, I have gotten a reputation of being very good at taking old damaged photos and restoring them to like new condition, no I can't compete with the guys at the local super-center, not that fast, but I do believe...
...

I absolutely love my Kodak ESP-3 all-in-one printer. The price of the printer was low, but the quality is very high !!! All of the other printers I've used in the past were expensive and the price of ink was simply outragous. However, the ink cartradges for my Kodak printer are aproximately one third of the price of all the others. Many of my past printers printed photos with lines in them. My Kodak printer prints crystal clear, line free, high quality photos. It has to because I have a digital photography business. When I first opened my photography studio I ordered prints from proffesional printing companies. By the way, this was quite expensive. However, I started noticing right away that these proffesional prints were not any better than the prints that I could print out myself using my Kodak printer. So, I began printing photos for my clients at the studio and I saved so much money. I also saved time because I didn't have to wait for the printing companys to process my order and mail...
...

I recently bought this printer because my old one was completely out of ink. Since Kodak advertises how cheap their ink is, I looked at the store to compare. The price to replace my ink for the old printer was almost as much to buy a new Kodak printer. It was $89.99. Figuring cost savings in the future with ink, I purchased it. It is the absolute worse printer I've ever owned. It takes nearly a minute to print a simple page. If you have anything that requires a lot of printing be prepared to sit there for a very long time waiting for it. The qualiy of the ink isn't any better. When you print a black document, it is so light it looks as if when your almost out of ink. The color copies are not true colors, they are light also, and off a little. I haven't used it any more than my old one and the ink levels are already at a half and a quarter used. I just bought it two weeks ago. The scanner also takes forever to scan. I am just so disappointed because I really thought...
...

This Kodak brand printer is not good at all. They claim that the ink is cheaper and lasts longer. Actually it is cheaper BUT you have to buy ink very often. The print quality is bad. EVERY time I use this printer I have to do some kind of troubleshooting. Seriously, EVERY time! I've wrote to Kodak numerous times for help but the only help they give me is the help from the troubleshooting guide. I definitely use more ink for troubleshooting than I do for what I need printed. Pictures that are printed are just ok. I can print them at Walmart and they have better quality. Many times my computer tells me the printer is not available. Usually the problem is the wires from the printer are loose. They have to be jiggled then shut off printer and turn on again. Way too much work just to print something. I have owned 2 Lexmarks and an HP printer and NEVER had this much trouble. One more thing is trying to edit a photo to print is very difficult. The program is hard to understand and not user friendly....
...
